The third biggest ranking event of the season begins in China on Sunday. This should be a good tournament with the matches starting best of 11 frames and getting longer as it goes along. All the event is on Eurosport and with O'Sullivan in the event there will be lots made of it. Draw, schedule and format here: http://www.snooker.org/res/index.asp?event=272

Re: International Championship 27 Oct - 3 Nov Tournament preview: 2pts ew M.Selby to win International Championship 10/1 Paddy Power (1/2 1-2) One man who is bigger than usual is Mark Selby and with his record in China I think he is worth taking this week. Selby has had a quiet couple of weeks by his high standards but it wasn’t long ago that he was playing in PTC finals so there isn’t a lot wrong with his game. Selby always raises his level for the bigger events like the UK Championship and the Masters and this is on a par with those so we should see the best of the former number one here. He has managed to find a section without the big names so has everything ready to go well this week. 1pt ew M.Williams to win International Championship 33/1 Coral (1/2 1-2) Mark Williams is another player who has an excellent record overseas and he is overpriced this week too. He is in Ronnie O’Sullivan’s quarter but O’Sullivan runs into a couple of in form players early on in the tournament and by the time he gets to a scheduled date with Williams anything could have happened. Take O’Sullivan out and in terms of big names there aren’t many in his way prior to the semi final. Williams has won one tournament this season and been in the quarter finals of two others so should go well this week.
