The next European Tour event of the season starts in Dusseldorf on Friday and at long last the tournament is being streamed on the PDC website. All the top players are in this tournament so it should be a very good weekend of darts. Re: European Darts Open 17-19 May Tournament preview: 1pt ew A.Lewis to win European Darts Open 20/1 Coral (1/2 1-2) Adrian Lewis didn’t have a good Premier League campaign but that will have made him stronger and more hungry for titles and all of a sudden these tournaments are well worth winning with £20,000 for the winner. Given that there’s only £9,200 between Michael van Gerwen and Lewis in the rankings he’ll be very eager to win this tournament and he has a fairly favourable draw too despite being in the same quarter as Whitlock and Wade. He wouldn’t meet either until the quarter final which would be a help. Lewis made the semi final of a Players Championship event recently losing in a deciding leg to Michael van Gerwen so he retains the ability and a tournament like this could kick start him again.
