Re: Premier League 2013 - Week 4 PLD Darts Thurs 28th February. Thornton v Anderson - The all Scottish affair and World Cup partners are set for battle. Theres no doubting that Thornton as been much better so far and remains unbeaten, 1 win 2 draws. Anderson on the other hand has been as ineffective as ever on his doubles. BUT.. Anderson might relax abit more in this one, playing a fellow Scot and friend, and the crowd wont really have one of them to jeer either. This is a tough one to call, Anderson matches tend to be so, but i have to go for Thornton, more consistant, better price and more reliable. Thornton 7-4 Hamilton v MVG - The Hammer has been ultra consistant, what else can you expect from him! Hes a fighter. MVG has had arguably the toughest fo the 3 games to date though, and remains unbeaten, with a won 1 drawn 2 record. (Taylor, Thornton draws, then hammered Barney last week). Add to this MVG won the 2 players Championships over the weekend and hes in top form and will be buzzing. Theres only one way i can go here, and its for the new kid on the block to win relatively comfortably. MVG 7-3 Wade v Taylor - Taylor, already top of the table after 3 games started pretty slowly, he scrapped a draw v MVG, then started poorly v Lewis before winning that one. Last week though he was back on his tip top level averaging 107. He blew Whitlcok away who himself averaged 102. Wadey has has his best start to a PL campaign for a while results wise. But id say his 2 wins have been against the poorest 2 in it so far, Lewis/Newton) He lost against the Hammer. Can only see one outcome here and its The Power to coast through. Taylor 7-3 Newton v Lewis - Newton got his act together last week and got himself on the score board drawing v Thorton, he could and maybe should have won that though. Still, he played better that previous weeks and should take heart from getting off the zero. Here he faces the awful Lewis, who is rock bottom and the only man yet to get a point! Lewis is not only bottom of the table, hes bottom of the averages with a shocking 90 average over 3 games. Lewis is having a stinker, the one thing with Lewis is he could turn up which makes him a tough one to go against. But the signs so far havent been there. Big game for both of these and i was tempted to back the draw. But im edging towards the value in Newton at decent odds. Newton 7-5 Barney v Whitlock - This should be a crackin match, Whitlock arrived in the Prem leage last week playing excellent darts despite losing, whereas Barney dropped his level and got beat. Barney needs to bounce back and Whitlock needs to keep it up. Im swaying towards Barney, hes been the most consistent in this so far, and is always reliable. Whitlock for me can dip in form far too easily. Good game, but one i fancy Barney to come through. Barney 7-4 So no draws this week, despite there being one a week so far. 0004tagx.gif 4 bets: The 5-Fold pays 27/1 (1pt) Newton single @ 7/4 (2pts) Taylor & MVG double @ 1/1 (5pts) Thornton & Barney (Draw no bet double) @ 5/2 (2pts)
