How important is the jockey booking to you?

Just how much does a jockey booking sway your selection? Do you back your fancied horse no matter who's on board? Do you pick then check the riders? Or do you maybe have a list of your favourite jockey's then check what horses they're riding?

Re: How important is the jockey booking to you? All comes down to price. Some decent jocks still who wont ride a high % of winners yet are more than capable. I do look into it though and generally want a jock who rides well for the trainer. Always worth looking at the owner also as they book certain jockeys when looking for the win. I use atr for that. If the jocks record is poor ill check to see if they have been on the horse before. Also i look to see how they get on at the track plus the distance. Not forgetting the type of race. I use HRB for most of this.
