Norwich vs QPR

Recommended Posts

Norwich vs QPR at Carrow Road This is an interesting match up as both teams on the opening day got hammered 5-0 respectively after a poor performance last weekend. They both will be looking to put this behind them and move forward to claim their first points of the season and reduce the goal difference deficit. Another interesting topic is that both clubs have raided Tottenham for two of their centre halves to bolster their fragile back line and QPR looks to have signed Michael Dawson for a fee of £9m but latest is the deal has stalled after being unable to agree personal terms. Norwich have completed the £4m signing of Sebastien Bassong who is likely to make his debut in this match. Team news and formation Norwich played a 4-2-3-1 formation and which did not work last week and the quality is not premiership standard as it is filled with Championship class players. Fulham lost a lot of key players at the weekend and with Dempsey refusing to play for them, they managed to outclass and out play the Canaries. Their defence was turned inside out and with Bassong in side it will be slightly stronger but with lack of first team football at Spurs for past couple of years his fitness will be questioned and whether he can stay injury free. QPR were ripped apart by the attacking play of Swansea, the only difference between them and Norwich is in my opinion is that they do have the quality in the squad to bounce back. Mark Hughes went with a 4-1-3-2 formation and tried four new players. The defence were all the place and missing out on Dawson is a major blow and he will be tinkering with this weeks to come. They have no problems attacking and creating chances as against Swansea they fashioned out 21 attempts at goal. Betting prediction This is a tough call and there are different markets to look into and I’m thinking about over 2.5 goals in this match as well as both teams to score with Norwich home advantage but I feel that QPR have more depth and quality in the side to bounce back to get the victory and am backing them to win. QPR @ 3.20
