BBOTD - Wednesday 22nd August

Recommended Posts

17.50 Kempton: Hayaku @ 9/1 Bet365 Hayaku brings winning form in to this race as she won at Lingfield lto. She travelled well through the race, and stayed on well to win by half a lengths. She went up only 3lb for that success and despite a step up in class where she takes on much better opposition now I think she could go very well of her career highest rating. It took her a while to get off the mark till she finally broke her maiden tag in a Windsor maiden last October. She made all and won convincingly by six lengths - against a poor bunch of rivals though. That was her last race in 2011 and she started the new season in a Listes race at Kempton where she was without a chance however. A try on turf didn't work out either the next time but she went on to win the mentioned Lingfield race after that. What makes her particularly interesting here is the fact that she looks to be the only horse in the field that would like to go from the front- as she did so well at Windsor. It is very much possible that she'll get an uncontested lead and that she can conserve enough energy for the closing stages to be then competitive against some good looking opposition. Richard Kingscote takes the ride, he won on Hayaku at Windsor already and has a 18,75% strikerate with trainer RM Beckett this season.

Re: BBOTD - Wednesday 22nd August *Rex Imperator - York 2:00* Both wins have come over 6f, but looks like 5f will suit down to the ground by it's running style, really strong traveller that was 4th to Fulbright at Newmarket last time out, only just over a length behind. Was well punted on that day, so the win was fancied, and hopefully can win this race tomorrow. Won easily at Windsor two starts back, and that race has thrown up winners since. An improving still unexposed animal, it has an edge over a lot of the exposed animals here. Charlton stable in good form and the ground suits. *0.5 Points e/w @ 11/2 Betfred BOG*
