2012 NSW country and provincial racing awards

The nominations for the NSW country and provincial racing awards have been announced. The event will be at the Four Seasons Hotel in Sydney on September 28. Nominees for the Racenet Provincial horse of the year title are Atomic Force, Darci Be Good, Hay List and Sincero, while vying for the Country horse of the year award are, Karuta Queen, Ortensia, Star Of Octagonal and Zaratone. The ceremony will also have a series of other awards including Community country race club of the year. Among the nominees are Bong Bong Picnic race Club, Cooma-Monaro Race club, Grenfell Jockey and the Tullibigeal Race Club. Contenders for the Country TAB Race Club of the year are Coffs Harbour Race Club, Mudgee Race Club, Murrumbidgee Turf Club and the Scone Race Club and Griffith Jockey Club, Moree Race Club, Muswellbrook Race Club and the Wellington Race Club are in line to receive the Country Outstanding Achievement award. Finalists for the Country Trainer of the Year award are Brett Bellamy, Luke Griffith and Neil Godbolt, while Brendan Ward, Greg Ryan and Robert Thompson will fight out the Country Jockey of the Year award.
