Re: MLB: July 16th 2012 Picks Tigers (-1.5) 1pt @ 2.60 Bet365 Porcello has good records v the likes of Callaspo, Kendrick and Aybar, and fancy the Tigers offense to be able to get to Santana who has been splayed for at least 5 runs in 5 of his last 7 starts, and lasted just 4 outs last time having given up 8 runs to Cleveland. Red Sox (-3.5) 1pt @ 4.35 Bet365 Dyland Axelrod on the mound for the WS, Crawford back in the line-up for the RS, Middlebrooks at 3B looking to show just why we traded Youk - particularly the Axelrod factor I can see the Red Sox putting up some good offense tonight. Aaron Cook had a poor season debut v the O's but since then has ceded just 5 ERs in 20 innings and can keep a surging WS quiet enough and further enhance his 1-0 3.00ERA record over 2 starts against them. Nationals / Marlins (neither team to score 4+) 1pt @ 4.50 Bet365 See yesterday's reasoning. No reason to change, I thought it was value then and a 4-0 scoreline isn't going to convince me otherwise for tonight Rays (-1.5) 1pt @ 2.70 Bet365 Think the Rays are slightly overpriced in this one, esp with Kotchman and Damon returning to the line-up. Cobb had a solid outing against the Indians last time in a 10-3 win, whilst Zach MacAllister needs to expel memories of a nightmare 6th inning against the Rays before the All Star break when he gave up 4 unearned runs and 3 hits in netting just 2 outs. Mariners (-1.5) 1pt @ 2.65 Bet365 Vargas >>> Sanchez Orioles / Twins (Under 7.5 runs) 1pt @ 2.80 Bet365 Hate taking under anything, but the run line on this one seems a bit out. Twins come in on a 5 game skid, and have plated just 5 runs in 3 outings v the O's so far this season, but they do send Scott Diamond to the mound. Minne's LHP has gave up 3 ERs or less in 10 of 12 starts this season, and this can be a low-scoring tight game Pirates / Rockies (goes 10+ inns) 1pt @ 9.25 Bet365 Crazy price. Rockies send their best recent pitcher to the mound, in Jeff Francis, whilst the Pirates counter with Jeff Karstens who has conceded just 2 ERs in 15 innings in winning his last 2. 2 of the 3 earlier games between these 2 were won by a margin of 1, and I can see tonight's being a nip and tuck tight affair. Over 8/1 for them being tied at the end of 9 is a crazy price
