Re: All Star Game: 10th June 2012 American League -1.5 @ 2.45 pinnacle Like the AL here as looking at ther batting line ups, they have the players in better hitting form. Not much between the two sets of pitchers that will feature, so looking at the players likely to get some good contact on the ball, and feel the AL have some good hitters that edge their NL counterparts. Likely batting lineups are: AL: Derek Jeter, Robinson Cano, Josh Hamilton, Jose Bautista, Prince Fielder, Adrian Beltre, David Ortiz, Mike Napoli, Curtis Granderson NL: Carlos Gonzalez, Melky Cabrera, Ryan Braun, Joey Votto, Carlos Beltran, Buster Posey, Pablo Sandoval, Dan Uggla, Rafael Furcal. Bautista, Hamilton and Granderson and Ortiz have 22+ home runs for the season compared to the NL leader who is Braun with 24, and then Beltran with 20. With respect to RBI's, Hamilton has 75, Bautista has 65 and Fielder has 63, before you start to get to the NL with Beltran on 65 and Braun on 61. The only batting statistic where the NL edges this is in the batting averages, but believe the edge in getting runs scored is the bigger difference between the two teams. With the game in Kansas, and the added advantage of having an extra hitter in batting, then the AL side look likely to get more runs than the NL. Record: 101-165 (-23.91)
