Re: John Deere Classic *Charles Howell III e/w @ 50/1 Bet365* He has had a decent year this year, Charles. He finished 2nd in the opening weekend of the year in Hawaii and has 7 Top 30's since then. He doesn't miss many cuts, and i like backing guys that normally make the cut. He also performs well in this tournament. He was 5th in this event last year, 39th in 2010, 23rd in 2009, in his only 3 attempts here, so has never missed the cut here, and was very impressive here last year. At 50/1, he is backable, not huge value, but just backable. *Bud Cauley e/w @ 100/1 Ladbrokes* On his day can be a threat. Was 4th in the Arnold Palmer this year, 8th in Houston and had 3 other Top 20's. This is first proper full year on the PGA Tour, and he has adapted well. Still have to remember this young guy is still only 22, he is a very talented golfer, and he is long off the tee which is a big help. I will have a punt. *Ricky Barnes e/w @ 150/1 Bet365* Backed him earlier in the year with no joy, he is a very hot or cold type player, mostly cold, but on his day can threaten. He showed his capabilities when 3rd at Pebble Beach earlier this year. The fact he is 150/1, and a lot of the bigger names will be focusing on getting ready for the British Open, this week could be the week for an outsider again.
