MLB: May 19th 2012 picks

Recommended Posts

Cincinnati @ 2.59 pinnacle Bailey is 1-3, with a 4.35 ERA and is coming off a very good performance at Atlanta where he allowed just 1 run on 6 hits in the 3-1 win over them. He has pitched slightly better during the dau compared to the night, and with the Reds having hone 13-6 in day games, then like them to do well here. Nova is 4-1, with a 5.44 ERA as he has allowed at least 5 runs in 3 of his last 4 starts, as well as at least 4 runs in 3 of his last 4 home starts. Not too confident that he can hold the Reds here as he has struggled in his starts NY Mets @ 2.85 pinnacle Batista is 1-1, with a 4.26 ERA and is coming off a good performance where he allowed just 4 hits in the 3-1 home win over Milwaukee. He has gone 3-2 with a low 1.70 ERA in 6 starts against Toronto and like him to do well here, with some run support from his batters. Morrow is 4-2, with a 2.22 ERA as he has had his problems when starting at home, allowing at lest 4 runs in 3 of his 4 home starts. Though he has a good interleague record, concerned about his home form, and can see the Mets score some runs here Record: 62-98 (-10.67)

Re: MLB: May 19th 2012 picks 39-37 -0.09 units (51.31%) Bad stretch.. Dodgers -140 to win 1 unit @ 5dimes Possibly a square play here but a great number to get for Kershaw Pirates +150 to bet 1 unit @ 5dimes Generally the Pirates are pretty horrific at interleague play but I can see Burnett having a pretty good day. After almost getting no hit I expect the Pirates bats to come around a little bit today. Pirates should win a low scoring game.

Re: MLB: May 19th 2012 picks

Cincinnati @ 2.59 NY Mets @ 2.85
Detroit -1.5 @ 2.39 pinnacle Smyly is 1-0, with a 2.31 ERA as he is coming off allowing 4 runs on 5 hits in the 7-5 road loss to the Chicago White Sox. Prior to that he had allowed 2 runs or less in his previous 6 starts and had given up 4 runs in his 3 home starts. Pittsburgh struggles to score and like him to do well again here. Burnett is 1-2, with 5.12 ERA and though he has allowed 2 runs or less in 4 of his 5 starts, he did allow 12 runs on the road to St Louis. He has gone 2-1 with a 3.06 ERA in 3 starts against Detroit, and with the Tigers having seen home before and hitting much better than Pittsburgh, like them to score a few runs here Atlanta @ 2.02 pinnacle Delgado is 2-3, with a 3.79 ERA and has allowed jut 4 runs in his last 3 starts, and two runs in 2 of his 3 road starts this season. Cobb has been called up from AAA side Durham and he went 3-2 with a 3.42 ERA in 9 starts last year. Still, like the Braves here who have won their last two games and as well as 10 of its last 11 interleague games Record: 62-98 (-10.67)

Re: MLB: May 19th 2012 picks Cincinnati @ 2.59 :) NY Mets @ 2.85 :eyes Record: 63-99 (-10.08) Detroit -1.5 @ 2.39 Atlanta @ 2.02 Boston -1.5 @ 2.35 pinnacle Lester is 2-3, with a 3.71 ERA and is coming off allowing just 8 hits in the 6-1 win over Seattle. He has done well against Philly in the past, as Boston have won all 3 of his starts in Philly. Blanton is 4-3, with a 2.96 ERA as he is coming off allowing 1 run on 6 hits in the 5-1 win over Houston, but he has had his problems against Boston, going 3-3 with a 4.70 ERA in 10 starts against them. The Red Sox line up has hit well against him and like them to give Lester some run support here Arizona @ 1.98 pinnacle Kennedy 3-3, with a 3.81 ERA and has been pitching better on the road than at home as he has allowed just 7 runs in his 4 road starts compared to 16 runs in his 4 home starts. He has gone 1-0 with a 2.45 ERA in 2 starts against Kansas City and like him to do well aaginst Chen, who is 2-4, with a 4.34 ERA, and has given up at least 3 runs in 4 of his last 5 starts, and 14 runs in his 4 home starts. Baltimore @ 2.01 pinnacle Hammel has gone 4-1 with a 2.98 ERA and has gone 3-0 with a 3.55 ERA in 5 starts against Washington. Like him to bounce back after allowing 5 runs on 7 hits in the 785 loss to the NY Yankees as he allowed 2 runs or less in his previous 6 starts, with 2 runs allowed in each of his 4 road starts. Detwiler is 3-2, with a 2.75 ERA and he too is coming off his worst starts of the season, allowing 5 runs on 7 hits in the 8-5 win over San Diego. He has twice allowed 5 runs in his 4 home starts and with the Orioles hitting well, much better than the Nationals, then like their bats to score some runs off Detwiler, who has gone 0-1 with a 4.91 ERA in 2 previous starts against them. LA Dodgers -1.5 @ 2.65 pinnacle Kershaw is 3-1, with a 2.22 ERA as he has allowed 2 runs or less in 6 of his 8 starts as well as in 4 of his 5 home starts. Though he has gone 1-1 with a 5.06 ERA in 4 home starts against St Louis, they are not in form, having lost 6 of their 8 games, while the Dodgers have won 12 of their last 16 home games. Westbrook is 4-2, with a 2.35 ERA as he is coming off allowing 4 runs off 11 hits in the 6-4 loss to the Cubs, which is the second time in 3 games he has allowed 4 runs. Like the Dodgers's form to hold up here

Re: MLB: May 19th 2012 picks Left it late with keeping an eye on the Tigers game Rangers (-5.5) 1pt @ 6.50 Bet365 Think the combination of a rested Holland and a potent offense can punish Harrell and the Astros tonight. White Sox (m/l) 1pt @ 2.27 Bet365 Less confident than I was last night in tipping the White Sox, but I still think they're overpriced. I'd have it maybe 21/20 v 4/5 if I was pricing it up, so taking the over 5/4 on offer Dodgers (-1.5) 1pt @ 2.60 Bet365 8/5 for the extra run looks like a good bit of value on team who are nigh on 4/6, given Boston who are 4/5 on the ml are only 13/10 giving up the extra run. Kershaw's shown all season why he's the current NL CY holder, and he can extend the Dodgers' good recent record v the Cards.

Re: MLB: May 19th 2012 picks

Tigers (-2.5) 1pt @ 3.15 Bet365
Rangers (-5.5) 1pt @ 6.50 Bet365 White Sox (m/l) 1pt @ 2.27 Bet365 Dodgers (-1.5) 1pt @ 2.60 Bet365
Fair to say I've donated a couple of points to the bookies the last couple of days with the Red Sox bet last night, and the Rangers bet tonight. Should probably stop doing that lol

2012 record: 36-45 (+16.31)
