Re: MLB: May 12th 2012 Picks Philly -1.5 @ 2.31 pinnacle Halladay is 3-2, with a 3.28 ERA as he has allowed 2 runs or less in 5 of his 7 starts, and just 6 runs allowed in his three home starts. He will be looking to improve on his record against San Diego, going 3-1 with a 2.05 ERA, and having lost 5-1 in SD last month, where he gave up 2 runs on 5 hits and 4 walks. The Phillies bats are coming off scoring. Volquez is 1-2, with a 2.98 ERA as he too has allowed 2 runs or les in 5 of his 7 starts but only one has been on the road, and he gave up 4 runs on 6 hits and 5 walks in the 5-4 loss to the LA Dodgers. He allowed 3 runs on 5 hits and 3 walks in the 4-1 home loss to the Phillies last month, and with the Phillies bats scoring 7 runs on 10 hits last night, they may be starting to get some form going. Also the Phillies have won 13 of 16 against the Padres, so like them to win again here. Houston @ 2.26 pinnacle Happ is 2-2, with a 5.24 ERA and has allowed 3 runs or less in 4 of his 6 starts, and like him to bouncer back here, as he allowed 6 runs on 6 hits and 4 walks in the 8-1 home loss to St Louis. Last time he lost at home, giving up 3 runs on 8 hits and 4 walks in the 3-1 loss to the Dodgers, he allowed 4 runs on 7 hits in the 7-5 road win over Milwaukee, and given then he has gone 0-2 with a 3.24 ERA in Pittsburg, good opportunity to make up for it here. Morton is 1-3, with a 4.61 ERA and has allowed 11 runs in his last two starts. He went 2-2 with a 4.63 ERA in 4 starts against Houston last year, and with the Astros hitting well, like them to get to him again Chicago White Sox -1.5 @ 2.41 pinnacle Sale is 3-1, with a 2.73 ERA and has allowed 3 runs or less in each of his 5 starts (total of 10 runs) and just 4 runs in his two home starts. Like him to do well here, as Kansas have had their problems with left-handed pitching this season. Hochevar is 2-3, with a 9.00 ERA as he has allowed 16 runs in his last two starts, giving up all 9 runs on 12 hits in the 9-3 loss in Detroit. He has gone 0-2 with a 7.36 ERA in his last 3 starts against the White Sox and with Chicago having won their last 3 games, and having scored at least 5 runs in each of them, as well as in 3 of their last 4 months, then liking Sale to get some run support here too Atlanta @ 2.25 pinnacle Beachy is 3-1, with a 1.62 ERA who has allowed two runs or less in his last five starts, which includes his last 3 road starts. With very few of the Cardinals bats having seen him, then like him to do well again here. Wainwright is 2-3, with a 5.61 ERA and has been poor at home, allowing at least 4 runs in each of his 3 home starts this season. Though he has won each of his 6 starts against Atlanta, hard to see him continuing this form, given his problems this year overall, but especially at home. With a number of the Braves having seen him by now, then they are a good chance to score a few runs off him, and edge the win for Atlanta Record: 53-81 (-7.50)
