Re: MLB: May 4th 2012 Picks Texas -2.5 @ 2.74 pinnacle Lewis is 3-0, with a 1.93 ERA as he has allowed 2 runs or less in each of his 5 starts this season. Lewis has won 2 of his 3 starts in beating the Indians and allowed 3 runs or less in each of them. With Beltre and Hamilton returning to the lineup, then like them to get to Gomez, who is 1-1, with a 2.35 ERA and he too has allowed 2 runs or less in his 3 starts. However these two batters add more to the lineup and they can score RBIs Washington -2.5 @ 3.02 pinnacle Strasburg is 2-0, with a 1.13 ERA as he has allowed just 4 runs in his 5 starts, and has done well in his only start against the Phillies. Kendrick is 0-2, with a 6.59 ERAas he allowed 3 runs on 5 htis in the 5-1 loss to the Chicago Cubs, and prior to that, he allowed 7 runs on 11 hits in the 9-5 loss to Arizona. He has gone 2-3 with a 5.46 ERA against the Nationals who have hit him well. Like Washington here, as they have won the last 5 games and 9 of the last 11 meetings between the two sides. Detroit -1.5 @ 2.90 pinnacle Smyly is 1-0, with a 1.23 ERA as he has allowed 1 run or less in each of his 4 starts, and is coming off giving up 1 run on 2 hits in the 7-5 win over the NY Yankees. Peavy is 3-1, with a 1.67 ERA and has been brilliant in pitching two complete games in his last two starts, but has thrown over 100 pitches in each of them, and some concern if he can hold this up. Peavy allowed 2 runs on 2 hits in the 5-2 win in Chicago over the White Sox last month, but they have lost 10 of their last 12 games in Detroit. In this pitching duel, like the Tigers here to edge this, while their bats do enough for the win here Arizona -1.5 @ 2.60 pinnacle Miley is 3-0, with a 1.29 ERA as he allowed 1 run and 1 hit in the 8-4 win at Miami. He has had two quality starts and pitched less than 100 pitches in both, so he should be fresh for this game. Gee is 2-2, with a 4.85 ERA as he allowed 4 runs on 7 hits in the 7-5 win at Colorado, and has allowed at least 3 runs in 3 of his 4 starts. He has allowed 10 runs in his two home starts this season, and though he won his last start against Arizona last year, he did allow all 4 runs in the 6-4 win over them St Louis -2.5 @ 2.60 pinnacle Lohse is 4-0, with a 1.62 ERA as he allowed just 4 hits in the 6-5 win at Houston land then 1 run and 6 hits in in a 5-1 home win over them last year. He has allowed 1 run in each of his 3 road starts this season and has had less than 100 pitches in each of his 5 starts, going at least 6 innings in each of them. Harrell is 1-2, with a 4.71 ERA as he allowed 6 runs on 9 hits in the 6-0 loss to Cincinnati. He has allowed 4+ runs in 3 of his last 4 starts, with Houston losing each of these Record: 41-62 (-4.86)
