Re: MLB: April 21st 2012 Picks Tampa Bay - Minnesota over 8.5 @ 2.25 pinnacle Shields is 2-0, with a 3.38 ERA as he allowed 6 runs in the 7-6 loss to the New York Yankees in his first start of the season. Since then he allowed 2 runs in the 4-2 win over Detroit and just 4 hits in the 1-0 win over Bosto. However he is 3-2 with a 4.69 ERA in 9 starts against Minnesota, who have hit him pretty well. The Twins have scored at least 5 runs in 4 of their last 5 games so like them to continue their hitting here. Pavano is 1-1, with a 5.23 ERA as he allowed all 3 runs in the 7-3 win over the NY Yankees. He has gone 5-4 with a 3.47 ERA in 13 starts against Tampa Bay, and as Minnesota have allowed at least 4 runs in each of their last 4 games, as well as TB scoring at least 4 runs in their last 3 games, then like both teams to play their part to send it over Arizona - Atlanta under 8.5 @ 2.12 pinnacle Saunders is 1-0, with a very low 0.64 ERA as he allowed 1 run in the 5-1 win over Pittsburgh. He is 1-0 with a 0.68 ERA in 2 starts against Atlanta who have been in very good form with the bat, but like him to contain them. Hanson is 1-2, with a 3.71 ERA and has allowed jsut 7 runs in his first 3 starts of the season. Though he is 1-1 with a 4.42 ERA in 3 games against Arizona, they have scored just 8 runs in their last 4 games, and with them struggling to hit the ball, like him to help this to be a low scoring game. Philly -1.5 @ 2.32 pinnacle Halladay is 3-0, with a 1.17 ERA as he is coming off allowing 2 runs on 7 hits in the 5-2 win at San Francisco on Monday. He is 3-0 with a 1.90 ERA in 3 starts againsy San Diego and allowed 1 run in the 3-1 win last April. Luebke is 1-1, with a 3.71 ERA as he allowed 1 run in the 7-1 win at Colorado. He allowed 3 runs in the 3-1 road loss to Philly last July. Philly can hit, while the Padres can't, and like Philly's road record in SD where they have gone 24-4 in their games there Cleveland @ 2.24 pinnacle Gomez is 0-0, with a 2.25 ERA as he is coming off being ejectrd from the game against Kansas for hitting a couple of their batters. He should be refreshed for this game, and has gone 1-0 with a 0.79 ERA in two starts against Oakland last year. McCarthy is 0-2, with a 3.60 ERA as he allowed 5 runs on 11 hits in the 6-0 loss to the Los Angeles Angels. He is 3-1 with a 3.60 ERA in his last 5 starts against Cleveland as he allowed both runs on 5 hits in the 2-1 loss to them last year. The Indians have won 5 of their last 6 on the road and are hitting the ball pretty well. Record: 26-38 (-1.89)
