3-4 -1.68 units (42.85%) Pirates +114 to bet 1 unit @ 5dimes The Pirates offense is no kind of juggernaut, but the fact that the Phillies really look about the same to me says this is worth a shot. Mcdonald can be up and down and you really have no idea what you are getting from him. Oh..I'm also going to the game :) Rangers -178 to win 1 unit @ 5dimes Juicy odds, but Sunday Night Baseball at home is always a good bet to make IMO

Re: MLB: April 8th 2012 Picks Cleveland -1.5 @ 2.78 pinnacle Cleveland have lost both games in this series, as they took them all the way until they gave up runs in the 16th and 12th innings respectively. Expect them to win this and avoid the sweep, as Toronto have a rookie pitching, and the Indians to get to him. Toronto has a home opener against Boston coming up and may be looking ahead to this game. Lowe has the opportunity to do well for Cleveland as he had a decent spring season, and like the Indians to give him some run support here Houston @ 2.19 pinnacle Both Norris and Nicosio have pitched reasonably well in the spring season with Norris now in his third season while Nicosio is back after a long injury lay-off. The Astros will have alot of confidence after their team managed to score 7 runs in their 7-3 win over the Rockies yesterday, and with Colorado having a home opener against San Francisco starting tomorrow night, then this is one game they may not be too focused on, which givess Houston the opportunity to record a win in the deciding game in this series. Houston are not expected to do well, and will look to win this game to show that they are not that bad after all. Baltimore -1.5 @ 2.74 pinnacle Like Baltimore to sweep the series as Minnesota have already shown that they will struggle this season. Though Swarzak has had decent numbers in the spring, but went 4-7 with a 4.32 ERA in 11 starts and 38 appearances last year. Hammel has come over from Colorado and though he too was not that good last year, a fresh start at a new club might be good for him. He has gone 1-0 with a 2.77 ERA in 3 starts against Minnesota, who have lost 13 f their last 14 road games, so like the Orioles to record a sweep here, as the Twins will head home after this to open their season at home against the LA Angels Record: 2-5 (-2.50)
