Over 0.5 goals ~ Long term ~ *Papertest*

Decided to papertest this first to record results see how I get on before doing it for real because can't open a new betting account for a week or two. Thread idea came after alot of reading tonight. There is lcfcmick's over 0.5 thread where he is going for a record, Zibbit mentioned martingale which I have read about a long time ago (and like everyone else had a go with on roulette before you hit the inevitable 10 reds in a row or whatever!), when I was reading about this I also came across other betting systems like Labouchère and Taleb Distribution. It was when reading about this I realised Taleb Distribution was like ScottyXS's and others long term 'drips'. Another couple of articles I was reading were written by Christatos Aristad an ex-pro gambler who specialised in card games because as he states ''Playing a game, you can only control 50% of the variables at most. But betting on sports, you control nothing. All you can do is play the odds and that’s just luck. And luck is the biggest bitch in the world.'' So this is where I am now. Hopefully you are still reading and will continue then share your thoughts as there are many more wise heads on here! By combining these things I believe could result in a system that would deliver a steady return. It lets you get a certain degree of control more over the bet, the only result you don't want is 0-0, it doesn't matter if team A or B win, loses or draws as long as it is not 0-0. It is like a long term drip only I think better as it doesn't have the negatives of Taleb Distribution with the chance of a big loss. Also there is Martingale, I am not sure if this would be involved as for example if it were consistent odds of 1.10 and it was £1 stakes then it would take ten winners to recover from a loss and so on for each failure to recuperate but also on the other hand with such small stakes and careful selections there is no need for more than 2 wrong in a row. But these are my thoughts which are far from perfect any and all input would be helpful. Will be fun to test if nothing else even I fall flat on my face from bet 1 :D

Re: Over 0.5 goals ~ Long term ~ *Papertest* Sorry forgot to mention will be using BET365 for this. Ok so having a quick look at this weekends bets. If you take off United,City and Arsenal as they have poorest odds, Chelsea and Liverpool as they are facing teams who could potentially be parking the bus in front of goals you are left with; Wolves vs. Spurs Everton vs. Villa QPR vs. Newcastle Norwich vs. West Brom Fulham vs. Blackburn Although Everton vs. Villa has produced at least 1 goal in the last twelve meetings between the two I don't want to go near the pair of teams at the minute for a bet. I don't know where Moyes will be getting goals from as I think they have the poorest strikeforce in the league (unless his Argentinian loan signing turns out to be a great move) and their recent departures of Beckford and Arteta. Don't fancy Villa either as Bent is 50/50 for the game ATM and they are a completely different team under McLeish. I also don't fancy the Fulham/Blackburn game, feel as if they are teams in transition at the minute and just early in the season yet I prefer to stay away from them as well for now. So this leaves three teams. The treble is at odds of 1.19, which after a quick look at ScottyXS's thread looks a decent bet as he was having a liability of £20 for 20p whereas this has a liability of £1 for 20p. I will have this for my first bet without looking at the lower leagues for now. Selection 1 Treble Wolves vs. Spurs QPR vs. Newcastle Norwich vs. West Brom £1 pays £1.19 All bets will remain at £1 unless I decide to Martingale after a loss. All profits will be banked. Singles or doubles only. Hope to get odds of at least 1.10 for a consistent return of 10p profit per bet. Starting bank;£10 Banked;£0 :hope
