Cleveland -1.5 @ 2.37 pinnacle Carmona is 6-12, with a 4.89 ERA but has allowed 2 runs or less in 6 of his last 10 starts (total of 24 runs) with 7 runs in his last 3 home starts. He allowed 4 runs on 6 hits in the 5-4 home win over Seattle in May this year, but has allowed jut 16 runs in his 6 starts against them, with a 2-3 record to go with it. Vargas is 7-11, with a 4.37 ERA as he has allowed at least 4 runs in 6 of his last 10 starts (total of 35 runs) with 12 runs in his last 4 road starts. He allowed 7 runs in the 12-3 loss to Cleveland in April this year, and has given up 16 runs in his 3 starts against them. This could be one of the last chances for Cleveland to make a run for the playoffs, and with the need to win, like them to do so against a weak hitting side like Seattle. Chicago Cubs @ 2.11 pinnacle Dempster is 10-8, with a 4.61 ERA as he has allowed 2 run or less in 6 of his last 10 starts, and 3 runs or less in 9 of his last 10 starts. He has given up 2 runs or less in 4 of his last 5 home starts, and has allowed 2 runs or less in his last 4 starts against Atlanta. The bats have been hitting well and like them to get to Jurrjens who is not pitching as well as he was earlier in the year. Jurrjens is 12-5, with a 2.84 ERA as he has allowed at least 4 runs in 4 of his last 5 starts, which includes his last 2 road starts. He is 0-1 with a 3.50 ERA in 3 games against the Chicago Cubs. St Louis -1.5 @ 2.15 pinnacle Carpenter is 8-8, with a 3.68 ERA as he has allowed 3 runs or less in 7 of his last 10 starts, as well as 8 runs in his last 4 home starts. He has pitched well against the Dodgers in the past, going 6-0 with a 1.57 ERA in 9 starts against them. He allowed just 5 hits in the 2-1 loss to them in April this year as the closer gave up the 2 runs, but expect him to get some more run support here. Eovaldi is 1-1, with a 2.12 ERA and has pitched well in his 2 starts to date, but he faces a pretty potent line up here. Houston @ 2.97 pinnacle Myers is 3-12, with a 4.72 ERA as he has allowed 3 runs or less in 6 of his last 10 starts, with 3 runs allowed in his last 3 road starts. He has a very good record against Colorado, going 7-0 with a 3.47 ERA in 8 games against the, with 5 of these wins occurring at Colorado. With the bats also hitting pretty well, like them to score some runs off Chacin, who is 9-10, with a 3.59 ERA, and has allowed at least 4 runs in 5 of his last 10 starts, which includes 5 runs in 3 of his last 5 home starts. He has faced Houston one before, allowing 4 runs on 4 hits in the loss to them last year. August picks: 36-56 (-9.22) July picks: 54-62 (+3.14) June picks: 53-72 (-2.95) May picks: 31-73 (-30.18) April picks: 45-56 (+2.52)
