Pittsburgh -1.5 @ 2.64 pinnacle Maholm is 5-9, with a 3.08 ERA and has allowed 2 runs or less in 7 of hsi last 10 starts (total of 19 runs) but has been very impressive at home where he has allowed just 4 runs in his last 5 home starts. He is 8-2 with a 5.30 ERA in 15 games against the Chicago Cubs, and has allowed just 8 hits in the 2 starts against then this year. Ortiz is 0-1, with a 3.00 ERA as he allowed 3 runs in his first start in the 3-2 loss to Washington. Like Pittsburgh to win this deciding game in this series, as they have also won the other two series (both 2-1) played this year Houston @ 2.20 pinnacle Rodriguez is 6-5, with a 3.25 ERAand has allowed 2 runs or less in 7 of his last 10 starts (total of 17 runs) and like him to bounce back here after allowing 5 runs on 8 hits in the 5-1 loss to Pittsburgh. He has allowed just 9 runs in his last 5 road starts and is 3-2 with a 2.18 ERA in 7 starts vs Florida. Volstad is 4-8, with a 5.46 ERA and has allowed 3 runs or more in 6 of his last 10 starts (total of 34 runs) and has allowed 16 runs in his last 4 home starts. Like Houston to do enough here to give Rodriguez some run support to avoid the sweep. Phillies -1.5 @ 2.33 pinnacle Hamels is 10-4, with a 2.40 ERA and has allowed 2 runs or less in 9 of his last 10 starts (total of 14 runs) winning 6f these starts, while also allowing just 7 runs in his last 6 home starts. He is 1-1 with a 3.15 ERA in 3 starts against Atlanta this year. Lowe is 5-6, with a 4.21 ERA and has allowed 3 runs or more in 7 of his last 10 starts (total of 29 runs) but has yet to go beyond the 7th innings in his last 9 starts. He is 1-1 with a 1.38 ERA in his 2 starts against the Phillies this year, but like the Phillies bats to get some runs here, as they look to repeat a similar result like the last time these two pitchers faced each other, back in April, where the Phillies won 3-0 in Atlanta St Louis -1.5 @ 2.23 pinnacle Garcia is 8-3, with a 3.23 ERA and has allowed 3 runs or less in 8 of his last 10 starts (total of 29 runs). He is 5-1 with a very low 0.94 ERA at home, allowing just 5 runs in his last 5 home starts. Duke is 2-3, with a 5.40 ERAand has allowed at least 4 runs in 4 of his 8 starts this season (total of 27 runs) with 16 runs allowed in 5 road starts. He has struggled in St Louis, going 1-5 with a 5.36 ERA in 7 starts while pitching for Pittsburgh, and has a high 7.20 ERA when pitching during the day. The Cardinals have the better bats and like them to hit Duke here once again. July picks: 15-20 (-2.82) June picks: 53-72 (-2.95) May picks: 31-73 (-30.18) April picks: 45-56 (+2.52)
