blackcrow
NY Yankees - Milwaukee under 8.5 @ 2.00 pinnacle Sabathia is 10-4, with a 3.25 ERA and is 7-1 with a 3.03 ERA in his last 8 starts as he has a low 2.25 ERA when pitching during the day. Wolf is 6-4, with a 3.20 ERA and has allowed 2 runs or less in 6 of his last 8 starts (total of 14 runs), which includes 3 of his last 4 away starts (allowing 8 runs in total). Both pitchers are in form and like them to keep this a low scoring game. Detroit -1.5 @ 2.04 pinnacle Verlander is 10-3, with a 2.38 ERA and has a 0.72 ERA in winning his last 6 starts, allowing 4 runs in total. This includes his last 4 starts at home where he has allowed just 1 run, and has a 1.64 ERA when pitching during the day. Pelfrey is 4-6, with a 4.78 ERA and is 1-6 with a 6.65 ERA in his 9 road starts. He has allowed at least 2 runs in his last 5 road starts (total of 16 runs) but has a 6.27 ERA when pitching during the day. Like Detroit to avoid the sweep while the Mets look ahead to the Subway Series with the Yankees on Friday. Philly - Boston under 6.5 @ 2.27 pinnacle Lester is 9-4, with a 3.66 ERAand has allowed 3 runs or less in his last 4 games (total of 9 runs). He is 1-0 with a 0.64 ERA in 2 starts against the Phillies, and has gone 3-1 and allowed just 6 runs in his last 4 road games. Also Lester has a very low 1.95 ERA when pitching during the day. Hamels is 9-4, with a 2.49 ERA and is 5-2 with a 1.85 ERA in his last 8 starts, allowing 3 runs or less in each of them (total of 12 runs). He is 3-0 with a 1.71 ERA in 3 starts against Boston and has a 2.30 ERA when pitching during the day. Not much separates the two pitchers so like this to be a low scoring game like the other two games in this series. Chicago Cubs @ 2.01 pinnacle Zambrano is 6-4, with a 4.38 ERA and has allowed just 5 runs in his last 2 starts. He has allowed 1 run in 2 of his last 3 home starts, and has pitched well against San Francisco in the past, going 5-1 with a 2.66 ERA. Also he has a good 3.38 ERA when pitching durign the day, and Zambrano is quite handy with the bat too. Cain is 7-4, with a 3.22 ERA and though he has allowed just 1 run in his last 2 starts, he has allowed 5 runs in 2 of his last 3 road starts. He has a 4.04 when pitching on the road, and though he is 5-2 with a 2.38 ERA against the Chicago Cubs, feel that the Cubs do have the better bats here, with not much between the two pitchers. Chicago White Sox -1.5 @ 2.51 pinnacle Peavy is 4-1, with a 4.23 ERA and has allowed 3 runs or less in 5 of his last 6 starts (total of 14 runs). He has allowed just 9 runs in his 3 road starts, and like him to do well here as Colorado are having problems hitting the ball. Cook is 0-3, with a 5.48 ERA as he has allowed 14 runs in his 4 starts to date, but is coming off allowing 5 runs on 12 hits in the 8-3 loss to the NY Yankees. Believe the White Sox have the better pitcher as well as the better bats, and like them to beat Colorado here Oakland - Florida under 6.5 @ 2.11 pinnacle Volstad is 3-7, with a 5.42 ERA but has allowed just 3 and 11 hits in his last 2 starts, which were both on the road. He is 2-0 with a 1.83 ERA in his last 3 interleague road starts and has a very good 1.29 ERA when pitching during the day. Cahill is 8-5, with a 3.09 ERA and has allowed 1 run in each if his last 2 starts. He has allowed a total of 2 runs in winning each of his last 3 interleague starts in Oakland and has a low 2.82 ERA when pitching during the day. With two in form pitchers and neither sets of bats hitting the ball well, can see this being a low scoring game. Pittsburgh @ 2.32 pinnacle Karstens is 5-4, with a 2.66 and has allowed 2 runs or less in 9 of his last 10 starts (total of 13 runs) which includes just 5 runs in his last 4 road starts. He has a very low 1.84 ERA when pitching at night, as Pittsburgh has won 5 of their last 7 games. Cecil returns from pitching in the minor leagues and went 1-2 with a 6.86 ERA in his first 4 starts of this season. He allowed 8 runs in his 2 home starts and has a high 7.31 ERA when pitching at night. Like the Pirates to edge this one Houston - Texas under 7.5 @ 1.97 pinnacle Rodriguez is 5-4, with a 3.21 ERA and has allowed 3 rusn or less in 8 of his last 10 starts (total of 17 runs). Like to bounce back after allowing 5 runs on 6 hits in the 5-1 loss to Tampa Bay, as he has allowed just 8 runs in his last 4 starts. Harrison is 6-6, with a 3.00 ERA as he has allowed 3 runs or less in his last 8 starts (total of 11 runs) including his last 4 road starts (total of 5 runs). With two very good pitchers here, then there is a good chance of this being a low scoring game. June picks: 47-70 (-7.80) May picks: 31-73 (-30.18) April picks: 45-56 (+2.52)
