Oakland - Texas over 8.5 @ 2.09 pinnacle Both pitchers are coming off poor performances as McCarthy is 1-2, with a 3.57 ERA and he allowed 7 runs on 14 hits in the 8-3 loss to the Los Angeles Angels. While Holland is 3-1, with a pretty high 5.12 ERA and he has allowed 5 runs in each of his last 3 starts, giving up 11 hits in the 7-6 win over Toronto. Both teams have combined to score 13 and 9 runs in the last two games of this series so like these bats to continue to hit and score here May picks: 0-2 (-2.00) April picks: 45-56 (+2.52)

Re: MLB: May 2nd picks MLB Overall 2011 25-28 -1,25 unit (47,16%) STL Cardinals -153 to win 1 unit @ Pinnacle - Lohse is 4-1 W/L in 5 starts with a impressive 1.64 ERA. He smashed the Astros lineup in his last start allowing just 4 hits and 1 walk in 7 shotout innings. Not a big strikeout pitcher with just 5.63 K/9 but still an impressive 1.17 BB/9 this season. - Volstad is 2-1 W/L in 4 starts with a 5.32 ERA. He held the Dodgers to 2 runs in his last start but doesn't impress me with a 5.73 K/9 and an awfull 4.09 BB/9. SD Padres -135 to win 1 unit @ Pinnacle - Harang is 4-1 W/L in 5 starts with a 3.90 ERA. He holds a 6.90 K/9. Usually a 4 pitch guy but isn't hardly throwing a curveball this season, so lets call him a 3 pitch 2011 guy. - Talented McDonald is 1-2 W/L in 5 starts with a 7.66 ERA. Considdering his 6 shotout innings against Giants it's a sh*tty ERA and even worse BB/9 at 5.84. His 5.44 K/9 is way of his usual 7.57 K/9. Padres bats came to live against Dodgers last night and McDonald will find himself in trouble if he continues to give up walks (Having trouble explaining it in english. Hope it makes sence). White Sox -110 to win 1 unit @ Pinnacle - Buehrle is just 1-3 W/L in 6 starts with a 5.12 ERA and a awful 4.19 K/9. A 5 pitch guy rarely throws a slider, so lets call him a 4 pitch guy. - Guthrie is 1-3 W/L in 5 starts with a 2.53 ERA and just 5.34 K/9. A 4 pitch guy but as he hardly ever throws a curveball, he's left with just on "slowpitch" (changeup). Very even matchup and I slightly favor Buehrle due to homeadvantage and because his record is influenced by poor run support.
