Re: MLB: April 27th Going with a big card today :loon Milwaukee - Cincinnati over 8.5 @ 2.14 pinnacle Gallardo is 2-1 with a 4.88 ERA ERA as he allowed 4 runs in the 14-7 win over Houston, that being the third start in a row he has given up 4 runs. He is 2-3 with a 5.26 ERA against Cincinnati and has struggled to keep them from scoring. They have plenty of good hitters to take advantage of any loose ball, so like them to hit him well here. Le Cure starts for Cincinnati and he is 0-1, with a 4.15 ERA after allowing all 5 runs in the 5-4 loss to Arizona. Milwaukee have their share of good batters and believe this total is not high enough as neither pitcher is doing well of late Atlanta -1.5 @ 2.65 pinnacle Hanson is 2-3, with a decent 3.21 ERA and is coming off a good performance where he allowed 1 run in the 4-1 win at San Francisco. He has pitched well in San Diego, going 2-0 with a 2.25 ERA in 2 starts there, and should not have too many problems against the Padres batting line up that struggles to score at home. Latos starts for SD and he is 0-3, with a 5.94 ERA as he allowed all 3 runs in the 3-0 loss to Philadelphia. He's yielded five homers through his first three outings. Though he is 1-1 with a 2.41 ERA in 3 games against Atlanta, his recent form suggests that this good Braves batting line up will be able to score some runs here LA Angels -1.5 @ 2.36 pinnacle Haren is 4-1, with a very low 1.46 ERA as he has allowed jsut 6 runs in his starts. He did allow 4 runs in his last start in the 4-3 loss to Boston and like him to bounce back here as he is 2-0 with a 3.60 ERA in 3 starts against Oakland. Ross starts for Oakland is 1-2, with a 4.82 ERA as he allowed 3 runs on 4 hits and 4 walks in the 4-0 loss to Seattle. With Oaklang struggling to hit and as result have lost their last 2 games, like the Angels to win this and make it a sweep of the series with the better pitcher and batters in this game. Cleveland -1.5 @ 2.52 pinnacle Tomlin is 3-0, with a very good 2.33 ERA, having given up just 7 runs in his starts, and is coming off allowing 1 run on 5 hits in the 3-2 loss to Kansas. He is 2-1 with a 4.44 ERA in 4 starts against them, but like him to do well here as he is backed by a team of batters who are in good form. They have won their last 8 home games, averaging 6 runs for and just 2 against in these 8 home games. Like them to score some runs on Francis who is 0-2 with a 4.06 ERA and allowed 6 runs on 9 htis in the 11-6 loss to Texas. With Tomlin pitching well and Kansas finding it hard to score, then like the Indians' bats to do well against Francis and lead them to sweep over the Royals. Detroit -1.5 @ 2.15 pinnacle Verlander is 2-2, with a 3.50 ERA and is coming off a decent start where he allowed 3 runs on 4 hits in the 9-3 win over the Chicago White Sox. He has pitched well at home against Seattle, as he is 4-1 with a 2.10 ERA in 5 home starts against them. However Seattle has not been producing many runs at the plate on a regular basis so like Verlander to do the job here while the Tigers bats get to Bedard, who has lost all 4 starts with a high 7.71 ERA to go with it, as he allowed 3 runs on 5 htis and 5 walks in the 3-2 loss to Detroit. Furthermore, he is 1-3 with a 5.06 ERA in 5 starts against them, so like them to continue their good hitting against him, and providing Verlander with the support he needs. Washington - NY Mets over 8.5 @ 2.03 pinnacle Gorzelanny starts for Washignton looking to even up the series as he is 0-2, with a 4.96 ERA as he allowedd 2 runs on 2 hits and 4 walks in the 5-0 loss at St. Louis. He has had problems against the Mets, going 1-4 with a 6.49 ERA in 6 starts against them, and allowed 6 runs on 4 htis in the 8-4 lost to them earlier this month, and with the Mets hitting the ball well, they may do a similar job here on him, yet again. Dickey opposes him and he is 1-3, with a 4.10 ERA, as he allowed all 4 runs in the 4-3 loss to Houston. Like Washington to hit him here and help send this game over Pittsburg - San Francisco over 8.5 @ 2.01 pinnacle McDonald is 0-2, with a very high 10.13 ERA as he allowed 8 runs in the 9-5 loss at Florida, and allowed 4 runs on 9 hits in the 5-2 loss to SF last year, in his only start against them. Bumgarner is 0-3, and he too has a high ERA (7.79) as he allowd all 4 runs in the 4-1 loss to Atlanta. With neither pitcher doing well, can see some runs scored here. St Louis -1.5 @ 2.27 pinnacle Lohse is 3-1, with a 2.01 ERA, allowing just 3 runs in winning his last 3 games. He allowed just 2 hits in the 5-0 win over Washington and has a decent record against Houston, going 6-6 with a 2.99 ERA in 13 starts against them. Happ is 1-3, with a 6.94 ERA as he has allowed 10 runs in his last 2 starts and allowed 6 runs in the 9-1 loss at New York. He has not fared all that well against St Louis as he is 1-2 with a 5.64 ERA in 4 starts against them, and like the Cardinals to provide Lohse with some run support to even up the series here. April picks: 33-44 (-0.60)
