  2. Re: Aussie Millions - Runadrum out in 19th for AUD $65,000 Aussie Millions 2008 One of the most respected events on the worldwide poker calendar is without doubt the annual Aussie Millions, which attracts hundreds of players from both the USA, Europe, and an assortment of other destinations. Star names aplenty were again in full force for the 2008 Melbourne Crowne Casino showpiece, along with a quintet of hopeful Online Qualifiers from Blue Square Poker; Charlie Combes, Richard Scott, Duncan Godfrey, Alan Mower, and Katharine Hartree. All qualifiers were hosted by the irrepressible "Mad" Marty Wilson who cheered them on all week to a couple of notable results. Firstly Richard "Washman5" Scott won a special iPoker Qualifiers event, picking up over $2,100 and an impressive trophy for the mantlepiece.

Even more spectacular though was the run of Duncan "runadrum5" Godfrey in the Main Event. He was the only qualifier to get through to Day 1, but even he cannot have had high hopes returning with only 18,200 chips from his starting stack of 20,000. Not one to give up lightly though, Duncan battled through another day to kick off Day 3 still a short stack on 29,000 but having outlasted a good portion of the field. The final stages of tournaments are where legends are made, and Duncan came into his own on Day 3 to earn the respect and support of the local crowd. Despite having to share a tv table with the likes of Phil Ivey and Joe Hachem he showed no fear in making moves against them and succeeded in building his stack right up to 500,000 by the end of the day with only 22 players remaining. Unfortunately there was no fairy tale ending to the story as he succumbed with AK v QQ to finish in 19th place from a starting field of 780 earning a cool $65,000 AUD ($57,137 USD). A great achievement which has earned Duncan a lot of recognition both amongst the locals in Melbourne and his peers back home in the UK. Jamie Reeve Monday 21st January

  4. Re: Poker utd!! Hi Player alloutmick1 leads Burnley to victory with 4 goals against Coventry. His tournament win netted him $102 and bags him and his team mates (BurnJoe1 and barowfordclaret) a Match Day Token. Well played! teaulcsg shows his form with an important 2nd place finish above silverunpl's 3rd place. They had a fixture so the end result was Brighton 3 Huddersfield 1. Good game! Congratulations also to wakierosco and oddsoxzmazz for cashing. All of last weeks results and the League Standings can be seen HERE Sweep: Last week you had to predict the score in Newcastle's game against Bolton. Congratulations to clairelouisa1 who picked that it would be a boring 0-0 draw. She wins a Match Day Token AND a King of Cash Token. Well done! This week we head to the Africa Cup of Nations. Can you predict who will be top of Group A, B C and D? With only 4 in each group and some games already played, this isn't as tough as it sounds. The player with the closest guess will win the Match Day Token and to add a little livener: The first correct guess I receive will win a $50 bonus. Send your entry in now? or wait a few days.... Please send your email to [email protected] with your predictions and user name. All entries must be in by Mon 28th Jan. Bounty: Congratulations to BABYSHAM for knocking out the bounty player AGAIN! and winning the Match Day Token. This week alloutmick1 has a bounty on his head. Knock him out and win a Token. If no one manages to then he will win a $50 bonus. Bonus: (We are getting closer on this one) The first team in each league to get 9 players representing their team in any one Match Day tournament will win their own private tournament with $250 added prize money. So that's 4 teams that can win. The first team to manage it will get another $100 bonus, so that they will win a $350 private tourney. Burnley had 3 players and Plymouth Argyle had 4 players representing them last week, so Plymouth were almost half way there to getting the $350 freeroll. Come on chaps, the money is waiting to be claimed! Thats all for this week. Good luck at the tables

I've had problems on iPoker for months. The support say nobody else is affected but I find it hard to believe its just me. I have no problems anywere else. I'm just going to stop playing on iPoker.

  6. http://www.poker-edge.com/whoami.php it has me down as this: Pre-Flop Tendency: TIGHT - The Poker-Edge software automatically color codes tight players in RED for easy identification. Player Type : You are a RedFish (Aggressive/Passive). Your passive PostFlop play makes you a weak player. The Poker-Edge software shows you the Red Fish by placing an icon next to their name at the table! Strengths: You are selective with your starting hands, giving you an edge over looser players. You are aggressive Preflop, which makes you better than a GreenFish. Weaknesses: You are passive PostFlop. You rarely bet your winning hands for value or protect your made hands, giving other players an easy chance to catch up. Best Advice: Play more aggressively PostFlop. Bet or raise good hands instead of calling, and fold your weak hands. Bluff more often. calling.pngCalling Station taz.png Maniac shark.png Shark mouse.png Mouse rock.png Rock bomb.png Bomb redfish.png RedFish greenfish.png GreenFish warning.png Warning i would be interested in your views Gaf?
