  1. Re: Ligue 1 Orange > November 28th - 30th

i watched match from start to finish. they were abysmal. i could number a list of things i saw but i can't be bothered. they cost me few hundred ££££ but i just wanna forget it and move on. at last st etienne got their first win against them in 20 years lol.
Long winning/losing streaks end up very spectacularly.. Anyway I made a nice profit with these Sunday fixtures, no complaints!

Real Sociedad vs Elche – Win for Real Sociedad @ 1.70 Marathonbet This is not exactly a betting opportunity, but I believe that Real Sociedad has the advantage over Elche tonight. David Moyes made its debut last week for the hosts against Deportivo La Coruna, the final 0-0 satisfied the English coach. His team was improved defensively, kept a clean sheet for the first time this year, could have scored a goal. Draw was the fairest result. Elche on the other side is a team that will fight to avoid relegation until the last minute. Visitors are undefeated at the last three games, where they took 5 points, coming from two straight draws. They are in a good condition, they will be a tough opponent tonight. It’s a risky choice, but I see a win for Real Sociedad.
I'd go for BTS tonight. Jonathas is just dead on, Elche defender Lombán is missing (since promotion he is a sure starter every time), his replacement is Pelegrín, probably. Mikel González and Inigo Martínez are out for RS, so DM Elustondo and Ansotegi may not be up against the task. ELche is 5/6 BTS away, while Sociedad are 4/6 BTS team home. I think it's very likely that the attacking home team will score and concede due to the fact that Elche a very much easy to hurt backfront and they've got a deadly forward, too. What do you think of backing BTTS at evens (2.00)?
  3. Re: Shakhtar Donetsk v Athletic Bilbao > Tuesday November 25th

Point taken. However qualifying through the league, you guarantee a week's rest in between matches and not having to travel outside of Spain. If Valverde wanted to put half his eggs in the EL basket, he would take on board all the extra mid-week matches which may sabotage his efforts in both competitions when a team like Bilbao are forced to play every 3 days. Not to mention travelling all over Europe and not even being sure of a place in the final with some very strong sides in the comp. Imagine if they make the final and lose it. All that work and wins for nothing, whereas in the league every win gives you 3 points. Also do they have the squad for it? I think this is why the manager has adopted this tone. He wants it to be done with while appearing determined and ambitious.
But travelling in all palces of Europe means that the players get more complex, people get to know them and never forget that Bilbao in their essence are a grower and seller club. It's not a bad advertisement for their players that they reached a EL final. (Ander Herrera and MU's case for example)
  4. Re: Shakhtar Donetsk v Athletic Bilbao > Tuesday November 25th

toto' date=' isnt EL now a possible route since it awards a CL place? In the la liga table, they are 9 points behind valencia and 8 behind sevilla, both teams who could be hard to peg back. Surely, if Athletic was my club I would also keep my options open in europa league. Sevilla won it last year so Bilbao should see themselves are challangers at least, now that they are starting to hit some form.[/quote'] My thoughts exactly. Add the fact that since they are back in form, the managed a 0-0 draw at Valencia, away. That Valencia is similar in strength and style to the Shakhtar. Initially (some weeks ago when I started wondering about the 5th CL matchday) I also thought of backing the Ukrainians, but now I qualify this as a nobet. Spanish teams are regularly very good in EL, Bilbao last time they were there, reached the final which they lost against Atlético. If today the wouldn't catch a point, I definitely see them butcher BATE at home and secure the 3rd place.
  5. Re: UEFA Euro 2016 Qualifiers > Friday November 14th

Romania vs Northern Ireland As an N.I supporter I know that this game will be quite scrappy and uneventful. I think this will be the toughest match of our campaign so far and I can see a very defensive setup on the cards. I worry with Davis out that our midfield may struggle to keep calm under pressured situations. That along with wards counter attacking pace absent we may struggle going forward at times. This said lafferty works hard up front and is dangerous at the best of times. Romania will be looking to impress new coach and will be under a lot of pressure. I think we will defend quite well and the game will have little goals. Can see us frustrating Romania here and can see a 0-0 or 1-1. Under 1.5 goals @ 13/8 N.Ireland double chance @ 7/5
If you also see 1-1 possible, don't bet on under 1,5. I would choose N. Ireland+0,5, +0,75 or +1 instead
  6. Re: Ligue 1 Orange > November 7th - 9th

Won both bets with Lyon and Reims today. Grrrrr so annoyed with the PSG match though. As a Marseille fan' date=' bitterly disappointed. They should never have lost that game, arguably played the better football. Anyone who is reading this and backed PSG, you are jammy bastards! And yes, this is sour grapes haha.[/quote'] What about the red card? Was it for merit?
  7. Re: Bundesliga > October 31st - November 2nd Any thoughts about Leverkusen away in Hamburg? The home side is the worst goal scoring team in the 5 traditional top leagues in Europe and Leverkusen is preparing for a CL encounter with Zenit. Will they gather steam and confidence or will they rest their players a little? 1,98 is a good price on a goal scoring machine like Bayer 04, it seems

  8. Re: Ligue 2 > October 31st - November 3rd

Nice touch that eh! Decent odds on the over too
Now thinking about that, wasn't it undervalue to bet on over on a scoreless match in the 20th minute in Ligue 2? Do you have a stat that how many matches go over2,5 after a goalless first 20 minutes? Or you feel it is irrelevant that they don't score early? I'm much interested about your opinion after you saw the highlights of the game.
  9. Re: Ligue 2 > October 31st - November 3rd Meatman, I've got quite a story to tell about this night in Ligue 2 :) I was at work and was eager to see your picks, but the internet was down for a while and didn't manage to actually play those two bets ( I saw them about 5 minutes before kick-off). So in the 21st minute when I managed to load Pinnacle and saw that the over2,25 line was priced at 3,25 :D then I took that :D As I never do live bets which contain the draw whils still 0-0 (like it was the case now) and the odds was a joke, too, I gave up on backing Tours away, I said so is life, fuck it, I just didn't arrive in time for that. This way I won with a much better line for the over and avoided the risky loss :D Perfect day!
