  1. Re: Sporting Odds. Questions Answered.

I have challenged ozzy before and he claimed that one was him and one was his brother (at a different address I think!!) - so whilst it looks highly suspicious' date=' it may also be legitimate ....... just because names are close, does not automatically mean that they multi regging[/quote'] And I've no problem with that, but it would be nice if someone would come back to us with that type of response when we send them the query.
  2. Re: Betfair ACE WSOP

Hmmm ...... looks like it's a series of 4 qualifiers ...... top 3 in each win prizes - 1st is 3000 Krona, 2nd and 3rd get a subscription to the magazine!!! (So for those of us not speaking Danish, we're effectively playing for 1 prize - though I'm sure we can find a Danish friend to give the subscription to if we win it).
Do we have any great Danes with us??? :unsure :unsure :unsure I'm sure there is someone... it's on the tip of my toungue... :unsure :unsure :unsure
  3. Re: Private PL game on Prima - Tue 14th March

why the time change???? never mind, i won enough for a few more tomorow, night all
Very sorry Morl. The first game finished earlier than expected and Chelski suggested 11:15, so I did. Very sorry. But at least you didn't sit in the lobby for an hour and 40 minutes beforehand waiting for it to start only to find you hadn't reg'd. Someone did that earlier, can't remember who it was now. ;) Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
  4. Re: Sporting Odds. Questions Answered. Thanks Joe. I still think the poker rooms should actively monitor entrants BEFORE a tournament starts and suspend the obvious ones. And name and shame too. And has anyone looked into Ozzy66 and Ozzy88? And what about a response to my question in the final paragraph about whether multiple accounts are illegal or not? Both a legal answer and your view would be appreciated.

  5. Re: Another Newbie !! :welcome If you're female, single and under 25, expect hundreds of welcomes and offers of help... and not necesarily about poker - isn't that right Tipper? If you don't qualify for all 3 (and particualrly if you're male), you'll do well to get 10-15 welcomes. But, never mind, probably for the better. I mean, look at scottsgal, not been back since the millions of offers of help Tipper gave. :spank STOP PRESS: Just noticed scottsgal posted to her own thread about an hour ago. Well, there goes that theory out of the window. But, it did take her a couple of days to get over the initial shock and post again.

  6. Re: Sporting Odds. Questions Answered.

Fair enough... I did think it was somewhat unlikely that there are so many szegeds or czeppys out there but assumed that due to issues with using same IP address this could not occur. (I have had problems before trying to play against people at work (all use common server) on PLAY MONEY tables on PartyPoker and assumed that this technology was being used by all the sites to stop multi-regging but obviously not.)) In which case I will start to compile a list...as long as I get paid for it!!:loon Cheers Blade!
to answer your comment first tweetypie, although you can multi-reg, you generally can't play more than one user at a time (that's how the IP address block works). So, what these players do is play very, very loose and play any 2 cards. If they hit they quickly accumulate a large stack and then probably start playing tight. If they lose, no problem, just log in as one of the other users and start again. As Joe suggests, it is not always that easy because they may have registered the account on different computers which possibly gets around the problem. Similarly for registration of debit/credit cards... they may use different ones for different accounts (don't know whether you saw the thread about the cheat on either Party Poker or PokerStars who won a tournament in this way... but was found out and had the winnigs - all $140k of it - taken off him. A very expensive blunder! I would like to ask Joe (if he reads these posts) why is it so difficult to trace Hungarian multiple accounts? Why are they any different to accounts from any other country? And with regards to it being difficult to know whether there are multiple accounts in a tournament, it's not that difficult to spot obvious ones. If you sort the entrants in name order, there are ALWAYS a number of very obvious multiple accounts that can be easily picked out by a quick scan. As Mr. V said, many of us have sent numerous cases of probable multiple accounts, but they don't always seem to have been actioned. Case in point is Ozzy66 and Ozzy88 (I think they were the 2), both from Swansea, which look very suspicious. I highlighted these 2 accounts some weeks ago, yet the player(?) is still there. Now, either SO (or whoever does the policing) haven't done anything about it, or they have looked into it and can't tell or don't believe it to be a multiple account. The problem is that we are never informed either way, hence why we think very little is happening with regards to the suspicious accounts. In my view, where they DO find multiple accoutns in use, as well as being suspended, the players should be named and shamed, just like the $140k chappie was, and also notify all other poker rooms. This is the only way they will ever stop this sort of thing. Having said all that, I must ask the question... are multiple accounts illegal? And if so, why? Yes, I agree it givies those players a bigger advantage over others, but so long as they pay their money (and I know freerolls are free!) then what is the problem? It is no different to playing a number of hands on a blackjack table. Must add here that I don't agree with multiple accounts, but unless the poker rooms can do something better to stop them than they are currently doing, then those players who do stick to the rules are at a big disadvantage and registering multiple accounts all of a sudden becomes an almost worthwhile prospect. PS Can't be bothered to re-read what I have written (too long), so you'll just have to put up with any typing and/or grammatical errors. :D
  7. Re: Sporting Odds Ace Tourney

I think what he is saying is that there are tournaments with nice added bonuses that are only available to enter if you have enough raked hands. Therefore only cash players can enter these as you cannot get raked hands at most sites by playing STT/MTT's even though the rake you pay [to enter the tourney] probably more than covers enough that would have been needed to get the raked hands. In that respect, yes I agree, tourney players can be hard done by.
Finally, someone who understands what I'm saying. :clap
  8. Re: Sporting Odds Ace Tourney

pro............ you have a raked hand in tourneys... not sure if it is one rake for the whole tourney or for the hands you play in that tourney......sorry mate but youare barking up the wwww.rongtree.com here
Thats is not true on most sites.
  9. Re: Sporting Odds Ace Tourney

So cash game players can play tournaments but tournament players can't play cash games? Don't sure I agree with that mate:unsure
FFS - you're missing the point.. THERE ARE TOURNAMENTS FOR CASH PLAYERS ONLY, BUT NONE FOR TOURNAMENT PLAYERS ONLY... CASH PLAYERS CAN ENTER ALL TOURNAMENTS. Comprendez???
  10. Re: Sporting Odds Ace Tourney

I think it's reasonable enough!!! At the end of the day they are a business, not a charity and they make more money from Cash Games than tournies....... You could argue that incredible promotions like Champions League include tourney players and exclude cash game players ......... In fact I would say that tournament players receive a LOT of promotions that cash game players don't.......
Firstly GaF, I think you missed the point. I get tons of emails daily about promotions that require me to play raked hands, i.e. players who play cash tables, which I don't do. However, there are NO promotions for tournament players that exclude cash game players. For example, there are freerolls only for players who play cash tables (raked hand requirement), but there are no freerolls for tournament players only - they are open to EVERYONE. Similarly, cash game players get cashback/rakeback or whatever you call it. Tournaments with added $$$ (including the Champions League) are not for tournament players only - they are open to EVERYONE just the same. A cash game player pays no more or no less than a tournament player. And secondly, Danno may be a tournament player, but the promotion said you had to play 1000 raked hands within a certain time period which he said he might try; I didn't read it as he was a tournament player and the promotion was not for him. One day GaF, maybe not his year or next, but ONE DAY we may actually agree on something. STOP PRESS: Ok, I've seen his later post now. But my arguement still stands! :tongue2
  11. Re: Private PL game on Prima - Tue 14th March

err...thats not the only prima site you can do that on, The Pro :D
Isn't it? Not found any others where you can do that cos most are american and they tend to use 3rd party 'bankers'. Which other ones are there where you can withdraw direct?
  12. Re: Sporting Odds Ace Tourney

I got the mail but didn't get the one about the $20 so I guess i get a crack at this instead.
Never got either of the emails. Come to think of it, I never get any emails from SO. But, I don't play cash tables, so I don't give a damn really. I think it is very unfair that only those who play cash tables get all the promotional offers. Tournament players have to pay an entry fee, i.e. lining their pockets, so it is about time us tournament players got a chance of getting something back. Makes me puke! :puke
