Some really good poker. :clap I enjoy playing these MTT's against other PL'ers only... it's the only MTT's in which I ever make any profit! :rollin Started with $17 or so last night, now have $26. :ok

    ha ha. I understand thepro19. Just trying to get myself back into the groove. gave up for a while after a particularly harsh out when about to get to a major world tourny. I have sulked in the lower leagues ever since.:cry

    Re: canbet $10 That's why i don't bother with these tourneys any more. It's amazing how desperate some are to win 50c. My advice to them is... go get a job!

    Quite easy really GaF. If you have something like 379Q in your hand and all different suits, then that is just about the nuts. And then just watch your chips roll away. ;) Seriously, Omaha is a good game. A little more luck, but can also be very skillful. You are dealt 4 cards and you MUST use 2 of them. Any 2 will do, but you must use 2 of your hole cards and 3 community cards. Generally a pair is not good enough. Minimum 2 pair to win, but generally loads of trips, straights, flushes and sometimes even full houses. Holding AAAA or AAA? in your hand is actually very weak because you cannot improve much because you're holding the cards that can best improve your hand. With Hi/Lo, there is 2 ways of winning... the strongest hand just like in ordinary holdem or omaha, and the lowest (weakest) hand also wins. The lowest hand is A2345 (I know that is a straight, but it is considered the lowest hand). The lowest hand must have no matching cards and all cards of the 5 must be below an 8. There isn't always a qualifying Lo hand, in which case the Hi hand wins the whole pot, otherwise it is evenly split between Hi and Lo. Clear? As mud? Hope we can play it some time... it is a fun game. Used to play it every Friday night on Check n Raise during their beta testing days.

I have tried various ways of playing online, but canoot find any way to beat these players. In live MTT's I have no problems and have done very well on a number of occasions. I think the reason is because I can see the players and can therefore get a better read on them. Sure, there are tells in the online game (the main one being when people takes ages and then bet... you can be sure they've hit something really good - and they think they're really clever by taking time to play!), but it's not the same as looking someone in the eye. And as for being easy to be taken off hands, that may be true sometimes, but it all depends on what I have, how lucky I feel, and if I want to get involved or not. Anyway look forward to another game sometime... how about 9pm this evening???

    just played the $30 MTT on SO...... orgami man as usual...... let the idiots knock each other out!!! Waited and waited... got JJ....someone raised to 750...I called.......300 left! should have gone all in but wouldn't have changed a thing.....q high flop....he put me all in........ i called and he turned over 10 10......to hit a 10 on the river!!!!!!!! Same old story!

    yep ,it sounds like a good price tipper ,any idea on entry numbers this year so far? i think its going to be a huge number as they reckon 1st prize will be $10 million plus, so im not so sure(he'll probably get knocked out by a hungarian all in with a 72 off:rollin :rollin :rollin :rollin )
    Hungarians can't afford the entry fee - they only just about manage $1.

    Hmmm! In one of my drunken moments I entered a $10 + 1 MTT on Europoker!! Just reached the 2nd break and the good news is I'm in the money - the bad news is there's still 238 players left!!! :loon :loon :loon Edit - AQ beat by K8 when he hit the flush!! Out in around 130th!!
    In the money with 238 left!!! How come?
