  1. Re: Arsenal v Newcastle United > Sat 29th December

This will end in a Arsenal win, too much strength on the pitch, full of goals today imo. Not much time so 100 points Arsenal 1.48 Arsenal HT/FT 100 points 2.24 Arsenal to win both halves 20 points 9/4 Arsenal -2 goals 20 points 3/1 gl

  3. Re: Everton v Chelsea > Sun 31st December

Yeah its possible. If that is the deciding factor and Torres is to be expected feeling ashamed and angry then Chelsea will not get anything from this match.. Will call Torres later in the evening on how he feels beeing a sissy lol 27/09/08 Torres scored two goals @Everton. Wonder if he got hate there too? Any Everton supporters remember that? probably not cause he was just into the league so there couldnt build up for hate already.. but looked like a lady boy then too ^^
Why doesnt SAF like rooney playing at goodison, is it because he supported them as a boy, or is it because he gets the height of abuse? And to which he knows he wont get the 100% rooney turning up. Will he play RVP at Arsenal on the 27th April...I doubt it. Players who are getting 90 mins constant abuse, they need to be deaf or the skin of a elephant not to react, and concentrate on the game, The closest I have ever seen is Steve Gerard when he went to Man utd, and EFC....But there aint that many around.. And Fernando Tores is most certainly not one of them.
  4. Re: Everton v Chelsea > Sun 31st December

Everton conceed in the last 14 games. Their defense isnt watertight at all. They will be punished for that one time. This Chelsea offense and their various threats is the biggest test this season. Chelsea is a much different team to the team that faced everton the last years. I wouldnt bet on Torres beeing too down on chants. Pro players tend to grow on this kind of stuff. And how any waiter chants will influence this game is beyond any reasoning. Much more influences has this fact: Rafa Benitez has won five and drawn one of his last six Premier League meetings with Everton. He surely knows how to beat Everton. Benitez clearly had as first goal to tighten up chelsea and find after that a balance to the offense. He clearly achieved that. In almost all of the games vs. big name opposition the last two years Fellaini was instrumental. He is a big miss for Everton. Anichebe in no way has the influence on the game from the midfield where Fellaini often drops into. He has not the drive to influence the whole pitch. Darron gibson has fitness Problems. Everton looks very short on options from the bench. If Gibson isnt 100% fit and Hitzelsberger might need to play then Everton will have big problems containing Chelseas offense. Baines and Piennar is the big threat for chelsea and almost all attacks from Everton are going down that wing. Im not yet sure how Azipluceta will cope with that and if the chelsea right side can push back baines. Im guessing that Benitez will play Victor moses who is more of a wide player then oscar, thus giving more threat to Baines. That would also play into his habit of rotating at some positions. Will Everton loose once this season at home? With their defence not watertight I think so.. A inform Chelsea team will try to do that.
With respect, unless you have been in that old wooden stadium, when the players are on top of the crowd, with the crechendo of noise, No one can keep their cool in that environment, Tores will spit his dummy out in a empty ground if things dont go right...And last season he completely lost it, so I dont expect anything different..so IMO if he plays they are down a man, Just my opinion that if that crowd have it in for you, You will lose the plot at some stage. It does worry me that anyone can say that players especially away players at certain grounds are not influenced, so the game cant be influenced...Strange very strange...How in the hell do you think Celtic have reached the last 16, with such a mediocre side?..Barcelona with all their talent, bottled it.
  5. Re: Jump Racing 28th December 2012

1.25 Leopardstown - 2pts win Monksland @ 4/1 (Bet365) Although Zaidpour got the better of Noel Meade's charge last time out I think there is sufficient reasoning to believe the form can be turned around this afternoon. That was over 2m4f at Fairyhouse and although the winner has been successful at three miles, I firmly believe Monksland to be a better horse with his stamina tested further. He goes very well on deep ground and proved at Cheltenham that he has a good deal of stamina when staying on well (without threatening) over 2m5f whilst finding the ground on the lively side. His dam had form over three miles and the way he ran at Fairyhouse suggested the race was run more to suit the possibly speedier Willie Mullins horse. My selection was under pressure before that one but kept on really well under pressure in a race where they didn't go much pace. It was a small field with little pressure on the front end and that looks different today. There are quite a few horses who like to go forward and a stronger test looks to suit the Meade horse so with this considered, and a 2lb swing in the weights, I reckon the form can be overturned. I do respect the fact that Zaidpour was having his first run of the season there but it's worth noting that his two previous runs when coming back off an absence saw him win by 12l and 8l so it's not as if he's usually very rusty so may not improve a huge amount for the run. So long as they go a decent gallop I think I'd rather be on the Meade horse at the prices.
    N1 well done
  6. Re: Everton v Chelsea > Sun 31st December

*Everton WIN @ 3.05 Betfair* Not sure why everyone seem to fancy Chelsea. They have lost on their last 3 visits to Goodison, the Villa result was a freak result, and the win at Norwich was a good win, but also was expected, this is going to be a huge test for Chelsea. Anichebe is in cracking form, and he will be able to fill the gap of Fellaini being out. I don't see how Everton have a long list of players out, Fellaini, Coleman, Hibbert and Mirallas are out, in fact he has a relatively strong squad of players to choose from. Everton are unbeaten at home this season also, 5 wins and 4 draws. A win for Everton will move them above chelsea into 3rd, and it is one of the most intimidating stadiums in Europe to travel to, as Everton have great supporters. Benitez is doing well at the moment for Chelsea, but I am not sure so much squad-rotating is going to work out in his favour in the long run, and the fact he was Liverpool manager, he is in for a horrid time from the everton fans.
How right you are, Tores and Benetiz will get torrents of abuse, like no other ground they have been to or will ever visit, In fact last season there,,, Tores lost his rag completely with the abuse he got with all the "lady boy songs"...which completely put him off his game, Job done by efc supporters, and they will target him again, As for Benitez, wait for the "spanish waiter songs". All tickets are sold, a full house, this place will be rocking. 6/4 is not a good price chelsea imo gl
  7. Re: Do I Need To Offset or Hedge? First of all nice picks. You have a £5 treble, yes as we stand right now on BF, 1.46 Man u,,2.5 cardiff, 3.6 Sheff. Its difficult with multiples, when not 1 has come in yet, and its far to early, I would not lay any of them at this stage, I would get my thinking cap on and do some hours work into who can possibly upset this bet, You will get some tasty prices for those teams that can win these leagues, a total of about 6 or 7 imo, and have a single on all to cover your liabilities, and maybe able to see some profit if one was to let you down. You could wait, till mid march, till the picture comes clearer, and by then IMO the profit will look decent in any circumstance, I think your in a strong position at the moment, which will only get stronger. GL

  8. Re: Manchester United v West Bromwich Albion > Sat 29th December 1.31 Man utd, Given their very very leaky defence lately, Its only so many times you will get away with it, by finding the onion bag at the other end, No bet for me against a team, who can and just might score two here, Man Utd may run out of ideas to get past them. The 10/1 tho of Draw no bet WBA appeals at the price....October 2010, 2-2 scoreline, Man utd were 1/6 that day.

  9. Re: Stoke City v Southampton > Sat 29th December MEDIOCRE prem league teams....They all are on their day. Mancity CHAMPIONS last 3 at home Reading EFC Man u.....WDL...2 out of 3 way odds on No trashing... all 3 odds on I wont go on, you will find examples with all teams in this league. In this case i dont think their will be athrashing, but at 4/5 stoke r the value here.

  10. Re: Stoke City v Southampton > Sat 29th December SOLID: The Potters have the best defence in the Premier League (14 conceded), and the fifth best throughout Europe. STOPPER: Asmir Begovic has nine clean sheets to his name this season; more than any other top-flight stopper DEFENCE Ryan Shotton and Mathew Upson will come in. RS 8 league appearances this year, MU ex England international, with 14 league appearences for Stoke last season. Im still not thinking southampton with scoring 1.3 goals per game and conceding almost 2 per game, are stopping Stoke. Stoke have a real thirst up front at the moment, and can se them scoring at least 2 here, I dont see them conceding 2, against a very very average side. GL all

  11. Topaz Novice Chase (Grade 1) 2.25 LEOP BACK IN FOCUS. 3 miles in soft heavy ground, going left handed, is just about ideal. No doubt a chaser to follow over 3m plus however, he is a fair bit better given the underfoot conditions, there is nothing in this race for me to worry about. I will go out with a bang here as one of my last bets on horse racing. I fully expect him to be close to evens come race time. 6/4 williamhill, boyles,365. 100 points win. gl all

  12. Re: Everton v Chelsea > Sun 31st December

He probably will but their injuries are mounting up now. Who was it that was playing through injections? Wasn't it Miralles? That's the thing' date=' Moyes may get the players on the pitch but its how much he's going to get from them long term. How long they'll last in a game and whether getting them to play through the pain will work for them longer term.[/quote'] Yep m8, Playing thru cortezone has and will keep going on, not just footy, most sports, keeping it masked until they can fit in the operation, So many players would be out of the game for long periods if they did not apply injections...
  13. Re: The 200/1 Premier League Thread, and why PL members should take advantage.

True :ok I've just never done it, and from a completely theoretical point of view it wouldn't really matter if I had a gazillion pounds tied up on Laying Spurs @ 33/1 because of the reality of them winning the league being close to zero. I suppose you have to think about liquidity too but it's the EPL.
It was just a suggestion, to IMO what is free money, given that I expect the price to crumble post Man utd game, They have beaten them this season, so nothing to fear. And every now and then the impossible happens, this could be one of them. As we seen yesterday, Man Utd have been leaking goals, there will be games were they dont claw it back, and 2 or 3 of them, were all back on the roundabout. That why the EPL is the best, and most unpredictable, EVERYONES TRYING. GL all
  14. Re: Sunderland v Tottenham Hotspur > Sat 29th December

Think this one is going to be a draw. Tottenham will not have the spaces they had with Villa, while Sunderland will mainly look to not lose this one. Would be a fantastic series for them. Despite having some great results recently, Sunderland looked to me they prepared every time for not lose the match and a draw would have been enough in every of these games. I think this strategy "will work" this time. The wins were like some big bonuses!
I disagree, Spurs hve to many locksmiths to pick there way thru such a thin defence, IMO they will not stop them scoring two min..and Sunderland scoring two is just not going to happen, 1 at the very best. Selctions later GL
  15. Re: Stoke City v Southampton > Sat 29th December

I am totally baffled by this price of 1.83 for a home win. Stoke and Everton are the only undefeated teams at home in the premier league. Both winning 5 and drawing 4 games. Stoke are the only undefeated team in the premier league at home in the 2nd half. They have conceded 1 goal in 9 second half games at home (only Chelsea come close with 2 in 9) Saints have not kept a clean sheet away from home this season losing 6 of 8 games. 1 Win against QPR and a draw last out with Fulham. At home they have managed 2 clean sheets in 10 games, for a total of 2 in 18 games. Stoke have scored in 7 of 9 home games and I expect them to score in this game. After that it's close up shop and bring it home. To me this is a 10 unit banker . Stoke home win.
Not much to add here, at around 4/5, on the back of a BIG win, does anybody realy beleive saints can come here and get anything. You may say stoke will think they should roll them over and apathy will set in, That may be true for alot of teams, but not Pulis. This has BANKER home win written all over it, the 1.83 with coral wont be there for much longer, and has to be the anchor of the day in no uncertain terms. 100 points win Stoke City gl all
  16. Re: The 200/1 Premier League Thread, and why PL members should take advantage.

This isn't my area of expertise as I don't trade but why wouldn't you just wait until their price hits the 33/1 or lower using your judgement' date=' and just LAY the fcuk out of them?[/quote'] Say we had £20 at 200/1(3980 profit) for arguments sake...When they hit 100/1 on the exchange, and they will. You then trade/lay your initial lay out,,ie £20, you have lost/won nothing at this point, but you still have £2000 to play with as a free bet for spurs to win the league. Then we wait, if and when it does reach 33/1, you start trading for your profit, an instant profit of £60 or so, and the lower they get, if you wait the higher you receive. The voucher of whatever amount at 200/1, is guranteed money IMO. I have backed them at over 200/1 before yesterdays game, I just thought I would put it up for those who like this sort of bet, and see it as profitable, and who knows they might just do it in a season were no one seems to be dominating, It all could come down to a string of 7 or 8 wins on the bounce, and I know spurs are a side capable of doing that. 17. Re: Everton v Chelsea > Sun 31st December

If i was a neutral here I would be all over Chelsea for this. I can't see Gibson's ban being overturned and although he isn't the Irish Zidane, he is a good midfielder and keeps us ticking over nicely. He has been excellent since joining and while I'm not sure about RIO's reasoning for the Wigan game, he will be a big miss. Anyway, he joins a list of regular starters who will miss out here through injury or suspension so Moyes won't be left with many options in the centre for Chelsea The midfield at the moment is pretty weak and it showed against Wigan as at times they were able to go right through us. This is a big worry against Chelsea and I think we'll struggle in that area big time. I thought with Fellaini being out Jelavic will start firing and while I was slightly correct in that he is finding more space and getting more opportunities, he looks way off the pace and I think in dire need of a rest. I'm not really sure were a goal is going to come from for Everton in this. Not really any need to go into any detail about our defence really. We don't keep clean sheets. I hope I'm wrong but I think the best we can hope for is a point here, but an in form Chelsea side should really take all 3.
I did say, that their worry was WIGAN n Chelsea, and if they get 4 points that will be seen as a great victory, Once the FA cup game passes, he will have a 100% squad to chose from, Plus which rabbit will moyes pluck out the hat in January....I hope its two for their sake, 1 being a goalkeeper, which is paramount IMO. I will look at the game later M8,,GL
  18. SPURS are 200/1 with Victor, Bluesq, 888 and 188 and Betfair, 150/1 most other places to WIN, yes win the Premier League. I for one think this is great value, but outstanding value to trade on, In five games from now alone they will be in double figures, and could drop like a stone once the play Man utd, depending on other results. Next 5 games. A. sunderland H.Reading A.qpr H.man utd A.norwich EA will miss the last 3 of these, and possibly the next 1 or 2 if TOGO hit the semis n final, but that it, The full back BAE, wont be going anyhow.(and he may be back within a month or so) Spurs are hitting a rich vein of form, with their best player(and best player in the prem) having a mid season break of his own, were ever you look they now have cover on the park with players coming back from injury. The min from the above games will be 11 points, which will drop their price to under 100/1, you could take your 100% profit then, or carry on the ride. If they turn Man utd over after 2 wins before that, expect no bigger than 33/1. The above for me is outstanding value, and who knows if results go their way over the next few months, they may be lifting a prem league title. And we are all quids in.(free holidays on the enemy:cow) There is only one stumbling block IMO, that is their manager, If they are in a challenging position, I hope his nerve does not go, and starts to tinker, anyhow thats a long way off. For now get the value, and lets hit them square in the nuts. GL all
