  1. Re: BBOTD > Tuesday March 18th 4.40 Exeter - Boss In Boots - 1pt win 5/1 Ladbrokes It's not a very strong handicap here and a few have chances. Boss In Boots appeals to me as a likely winner. The Seamus Mullins trained gelding is a course and distance winner here off 98 in December and is only 6lb higher at present. He's coming off a nice little break here after pulling up in deep ground at Kempton last time, arguably he looked like it was needed after the prior Ascot run. If going well fresh he's a big player. Bedouin Bay should outrun his price as well, little reverse forecast for me.

  2. Re: BBOTD > Monday March 17th Kempton 2.20 - Welease Bwian - 1pt win 7/2 Bet365 You have to say there's a few with a chance in this handicap sprint at Kempton but I like Stuart Williams trained gelding Welease Bwian. He's a consistent type and hasn't been beaten by more than 5l in nine starts. He went close here last time and he's placed on seven of his last eight runs. The race he didn't place in was a much more competitive one which was a class three, he was only 3 3/4 off that day. Usual jockey Adam Beschizza is back on board and he should go close.

  3. Re: Australian Grand Prix Can't wait for this. Qualifying was thrilling this morning! No bets for me at present, but I agree with BH that Hamilton should win. The main danger is probably his team-mate Rosberg. Can't rule out Vettel for a podium if the car is reliable.

  4. Re: BBOTD > Saturday March 15th 3.25 Newcastle - Satanic Beat - 1pt win 5/1 Stan James BOG There's a few interesting runners in this handicap hurdle. Fisher was way off on his British debut, but boasts some interesting form in Ireland. Dumbarton should be better suited by today's course and ground than his last couple of races. Cricus Star went close to sealing a hat-trick last time but was found just wanting and Cool Sky was encouraging on his handicap debut last time. I like Jedd O'Keefe's runner Satanic Beat at the prices though. The gelding had some decent form on the flat before being switched to hurdles and went very close at Sedgefield last time out. That race has worked out pretty well. Travis County won that day and he already had form in the book, Pinerolo has since won twice including an 11k win and Trust Thomas has placed a couple of times. At a mark of 114 this runner could be well weighted and should hopefully be thereabouts.

  5. Re: Daily Racing Chat Thread James Doyle :clap Great ride on Serenity Spa in the 2.30 at Lingfield. Was uncharacteristically very keen for half the race, Doyle got the front-runner in behind Queen Aggie and managed to calm the filly. Came through and won nicely at the end.

  6. Re: BBOTD Friday 14th March 2.30 Lingfield - Serenity Spa - 1 pt win 13/2 BetVictor BOG Tony Carroll's filly Serenity Spa has some of the best form in the race and looks to be in with a shot off an enticing mark of 72. She was fourth over course and distance two starts ago, that was arguably a better race and a couple have went on to win since. She should be tuned up after two starts in January and the jockey booking is an eye-catcher as James Doyle takes the ride.

  7. Re: BBOTD > Wednesday March 12th 2.30 Southwell - Mishrif - 1pt win 9/2 Bet365 BOG A fairly competitive handicap here and I like John Jenkins runner. Mishrif is up 9lb from his last win which was at the track in December. He takes a step back in trip here and it should play into his hands. He's had a break since a 1l defeat here last time and with Tylicki on board he has to be in with a good chance.

  8. Re: BBOTD ''Comp'' Tuesday 11th March 2014 ----Its Time 2.20 Sedgefield - Uppercut De L'Orne - 1pt win 9/1 Paddy Power BOG I think we should see some improvement from this Donald McCaine trained gelding in this tight handicap. He actually jumped fairly well on his chase debut at Carlisle in the mud last time out, just getting very tired towards the last few jumps. If he improves from the experience then the better ground and shorter trip could be of benefit.

  9. Re: BBOTD > Monday March 10th 4.10 Stratford - Tidal Way - 18/1 Coral 0.5 EW It's a fairly competitive handicap here and I rate a few, I'll side with Charlie Longsdon's gelding though. He's creeping back down to a winning mark and should be in with a chance if showing his true form. He has the ground to suit here, he's went well at the course before and jockey Kielan Woods has rode a couple of good priced winners in the last week or so. The yard had six runners yesterday, three won, two placed and one pulled up.

  10. Re: BBOTD > Sunday March 9th 5.00 Naas - Panther Claw - 0.5 pt EW 16/1 William Hill BOG I quite like both the Gigginstown Stud runners here though I'll take a chance on the outsider. Panther Claw could be on a decent mark at 126 and is used to running in top quality races unlike some of todays rivals. Around this time last year he won a race similar to this and ran very respectably in the Irish Grand National at Fairyhouse. His only run this year was at Gowran Park and he ran well enough to make me think he's in with a chance here.

  11. Re: BBOTD Saturday 8th (KO Cup today as well)

Sandown 3.50 - Gaillimh A Chroi - 1pt win 8/1 BetVictor BOG There's obvious risk attached to these races as so many of the horses are completely unexposed. I do like this runner though and based on her win at Gowran Park last time, she's a quality horse. She pulled away so very nicely after traveling at ease and it was thoroughly impressive. The shorter trip looks to be her forte. Noel Fehily a positive booking.
What a lovely horse. Great battle with Tara Mist. Definitely one to watch jumping.

  13. Re: Ligue 1 Orange - March 7th - 9th

One of the worst Marseille performances I have seen in a long time. They could hardly create a chance all night' date=' no joke. Nice fluked the win a bit from a free kick but they played really well and for sure deserved at least a draw. This was one of my poorest bets for quite a long time, I completely called this game wrong. Marseille missed Gignac way more than I anticipated[/quote'] By seeking and blundering we learn :ok
