Captain Sharpe has maintained a fair level since winning at Newton Abbot but is 18lb inferior to the selection on official figures.

But for the mighty Big Bucks, he would have won the World Hurdle and Liverpool Hurdle last season and he barely put a foot wrong when making a winning start to his chasing career over 2m 5f at Cheltenham two weeks ago.

The Warwick bumper winner was well held by the smart Plenty Pocket on his hurdling debut over 2m at Kempton but was well clear of the third and should prove too good here, especially as this longer trip looks in his favour.
