Re: My forum clock is an hour behind Out of interest Paul - what time zone is your PC set to? Is it UTC with DST active?
-
Re: My forum clock is an hour behind I'm not sure what you mean Paul - I can "fudge it" so that I get the correct time now, but not with the correct settings and not with something that will be right when the clocks change again in 6 months time. And putting in settings on my profile that "fudge it" wont give the right time to everyone on PL seeing the wrong time who isn't "red and bold" Anyway - password on the way :ok

Re: Full Tilt Poker Are Recruiting! Will you not wonder though every time you are outdrawn?
-
Re: Full Tilt Poker Are Recruiting! Interesting - looks like another step closer. But who would play on a poker site run by someone whose football club was relegated for match fixing and who was jailed for 2 years for "complicity of corruption and subornation of witnesses"? He's going to have major trust issues, even after everyone has withdrawn their money.

Re: My forum clock is an hour behind I tried changing my settings, then changing them back, logging off and relogging on, but its still the same :unsure I imagine it would work if I manually changed the DST settings every 6 months as H suggested, but that cant really be the right solution can it? It will work, but not for, what I imagine is a not insignificant number of users, who are impacted but dont change it manually every 6 months. I hope there's no objection - I'll put a poll in GC to try and gauge how widespread the problem is and if it really is just a very small number of us, or more widespread. If Paul/the mods dont want the poll up there for any reason, feel free to remove the thread I create :ok

Re: My forum clock is an hour behind
My Control Panel shows "(GMT) ... London" selected along with the option "Automatically detect DST settings". My forum times are 1 hour out. What should my control panel settings be? :unsure Do I have to pretend to the forum that I'm in Paris? What settings people have in their own user panel is their own business. ;) -
Re: Spending Pokerstars FPPs They have "April 1st Specials" with items such as "Three Course meal in a Pill" but the final line says "Purchase this item for 2,000 FPPs and your account will be credited with $32." I think that part is probably genuine. If you do the maths for that, then it works out at $1.60 per 100 FPPs, which is identical value to the "$4,000 for 250,000 VPPs" which is offered to Supernovas - this looks like an opportunity for the non Supernovas amongst us to cash in at the supernova rate - if you want cash for your VPPs, and if you are not likely to get Supernova, then this looks like great value! Also available at same value for: $8 for 500FPPs $16 for 1,000 FPPs $24 for 1,500 FPPs I've just bought one and my account was credited instantly :) But looks like you can only buy 1 of each! :(

Re: Micro Millions- Pokerstars Also - if you have tckets - if you view them (Requests/Tournament Tickets) then it lists all tournaments the ticket is vald for - double click on the even you're interested in and it opens up the lobby.
-
Re: Micro Millions- Pokerstars I can see it there - have you got filters on or something? Anyway - tourney number is 538627535 (You can push CTRL and T to type number in directly)

Re: Pokerstars Zoom now LIVE HEM2 Released their Zoom support version today. I understand PT was ahead of HEM (by some way). Suggestion seems to be that PT3 supports it: https://www.pokertracker.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=38833&start=30

Re: Daily MTT Winnings March 2012 I've not posted in this thread for a while :) Pretty frustrated - got to the money in a pretty healthy position, was dreaming of what may be, and then fought a failing internet connection for the rest of the tournament and left wondering what might have been :(

Re: PL Exclusive - Stan James Bet and Play Promotion - Free $10 tickets
Sorry to nit pick - but this is advertised on their web site for anyone - its not "PL Exclusive" is it?PL Exclusive -
Re: not a great start to 2012 We've gone from measuring 32 MTTs and saying "Don't worry about it - its a small sample" - to looking at 1 hand??? Come on Al!! :spank:spank:spank:spank:spank I've just checked my database and I've lost, on cash tables, with Aces 23 times this year! The total cost of those 23 hands to me is a loss of $1,267.22!! Does that make you feel any better? But its ok because the rest of the time I've had Aces, I've made $3,119.48. :nana :nana And I GUARANTEE that its the same pattern for you (unless you're playing them absurdly passively or something) We all have our aces turned over. It's not a problem. It's not running bad. It's poker!

Re: Pokerstars Zoom now LIVE
I mean overall, in your Zoom Lifetime - not just within a session :unsure If you dont play thousands of hands, then the cost of a blind or two will be totally insignificant compared with what is normal poker variancei am not one for thousands of hands the blinds could be crucial for the bit player -
Re: Pokerstars Zoom now LIVE I never understood what was wrong with "random" - byt the time you've played a few thousand hands, then it's pretty irrelevent isnt it whether its sequential or random?

Re: Zoom (Pokerstars equivalent to Full Tilts Rush Poker) This went live today. But only NL2 and NL5 for the moment.

Poker Books
in Poker
Re: Poker Books Only 1 answer in my opinion: the Harrington on Holdem series (or the first 2 volumes at least) - they're old now, but still essential reading if you dont know the theories that they talk about.

Re: Where are you playing Sunday 11th March I've got A $215 tournament ticket on stars that I was saving up for tonights 6th anniversary game ... however I'm a bit under the weather at the moment and had a rough night last night - no way I can play my A game :unsure Dont know what to do. - I could play it anyway - afterall, I'm not going to be playing all night am I? ;) - I could play the Sunday Warm Up that starts in just over an hour, so I presume even if I win it ;) then it wont finish too late :) - I could just save the ticket for another time :unsure I really cant make my mind up - smart decision is probably to leave it - but the nagging voice in my head is telling me that tonights game will be pretty fishy with loads of tickets having been given away (and more bad players than usual probably having sat'd in) - lets see which voice wins ;)

Re: Upgrade - Outstanding Problems/Issues? On the main forum page: http://forum.punterslounge.com/ is it possible for the date and time of the last post to be displayed for the sub forums? It can be so easy to miss posts in forums of interest in sub forums that can go days without posts.
