  1. Re: England > Johnstone's Paint Trophey > 30th Jan 2pts - Oldham v Chesterfield - over 1.5 corners 1st 10 minutes @ 2.62 Bet365 A little bit of a punt on this one and I will only risk a couple of points. Oldham are a side who rack up the corner count and they have had 7 and 12 in their last 2 home league games. The first leg contained 19 corners with 8 for the home side, while Oldham managed 11 as the away side. The over's line on the corners reflects this though with the line currently set at over 12 @ 2.20 - possibly a bit high when the away side might not do that much attacking. I expect Oldham to come out firing in this game and I will have a little punt that this will bring in at least 2 corners in the 1st 10 minutes.

  2. Re: La Liga - 28-30 January

Thats unlucky mate on both accounts. Real game 6 yellows and the first yellow to Zaragoza was exactly 26 minutes.
The card bet was a winner mate. The card came in the 26 minute at something like 25:10 The market is before 26:00 rather than in the 26th minute. Well done KavkaZ
  3. Re: England > FA Cup > Weekend > 27/28/29 Jan

Fancy Tottenham -1 [email protected]. Pinnacle I know that Harry don't give a fck about anything else rather than a Premier league, but I am also pretty sure that he doesn't want to lose two games in a row. This is actually a trophy what Spurs have won couple of times before. Haven't watched watford this year but from the stats they look pretty weak - this year 4 games from which 3 losses and only 1 win against League 2 side. They are only on 18th place in the Championship, besides that Taylor and McGinn is out for this game. Possible Line Up for Tottenham Friedel, Walker, Dawson, Bassong, Assou-Ekotto, Lennon, Modric, Livermore, Rose, Adebayor, Defoe
Just a small point mate, but I'm pretty sure Adebayor is cup tied. He didn't play in the last round and he isn't in the squad for tomorrow. :ok
  4. Re: England > Carling Cup (Second Leg) > 24/25 Jan

4pts - Liverpool v Man City - Liverpool over 5.5 corners @ 1.80 Bet365 Hoping for a better outcome than my over's shout on yesterdays match Liverpool haven’t had less than 6 corners at home in the league all season. Their lowest being 6 on the opening day against Sunderland. They managed to hit double figures in 5 out of their 11 home league games including 8 against Man City. I expect to see a highly motivated Liverpool side tonight and one who will want to repay the fans after the poor showing against Bolton – I’m not sure If they can overcome this City side, but I will back them to have a least 6 corners no matter what the match outcome.
Job done nice and early after only 33 minutes :cigar makes up a bit for yesterdays disappointment

  6. Re: Major Forum Upgrade - Done

I have just found the settings option at the top of the page. I wouldn't mind but I work in IT.
The settings link right at the top of the page doesn't seem to be visible in IE 7 - thats why I couldn't see it when at work yesterday. They are visible to me through Firefox and IE 8. I'm talking about the links called - quick links, forum actions, PMs, search, notifications, my profile ,settings and Log out. This isn't a complaint and I do realise you have bigger things to worry about, but I just thought I would let you know. For what it's worth I really like the new site and now I have sorted out my control panel I find the navigation much easier.:ok
  7. Re: Major Forum Upgrade - Done

Have been using it on my smartphone today, and both my work and now home laptop. The speed has been fine for me on all 3. The one thing I miss atm is the navigation at the top of the page. Perhaps you could change the Home icon to take you back to the users control panel rather than to the root of PL?? - I found it a bit tricky navigating to the settings drop down on my smartphone. Although there might be an easy way of doing this that I have just missed :unsure Its taking a bit of time getting used to it but starting to ge the hang of it now. :ok

  9. Re: England > Carling Cup (Second Leg) > 24/25 Jan

Quite fancy the overs tonight @ 2.24 - Betfair. Really surprised the bookies favour such a low scoring encounter. The first leg was a pulsating game' date=' and I can remember both sides coming very close to adding to the 1-0 scoreline.... With Palace holding a 1-0 advantage Cardiff have to push early on, and I can't see Palace keeping them out, which means at some point they are going to have to open up. If we can score two in Cardiff, then anyone can.[/quote'] 5pts over 2.5 goals @ 2.24 Betfair I got on this earlier this morning, but it has taken me till now to login and find this thread :p Agree with everything you say really - Cardiff will have to come out at some point, and Palace are more than capable of getting an away goal. At the end of the day this will be the best chance most of these players have of making a Wembley final and they won't want to leave anything on the pitch. The first game was surprisingly open for a first leg and with the away team holding a 1 goal lead I think this match is perfectly setup for goals. The odds on offer only making it even more appealing.
  10. Re: Saturday 21st/Monday 23rd Jan Npower Football League Championship

4pts - Southampton v Leicester - over 2.5 goals @ 2.00 Bluesq Hoping for a good game between two decent footballing sides and one in which I think we should see a few goals. Saints have gone over 4 out of the last 6 home games, scoring at least 2 goals in 5 out of these 6 games. They have only kept 2 clean sheets in that 6 game period so they aren't that tight at the back. Foxes have gone over 5 out of the last 6 away games and scored at least once in each of these games. Leicester are on a run of scoring in 10 consecutive league games. Enough here to suggest goals to me and evens is a decent price :ok
Gutted that didn't come in after getting 2 away goals in the 1st half I know they were missing two of their better players, but that was a poor, poor showing from Southampton. On the other side to that Leicester looked like a decent side and could be a good oustide shout for promotion through the play offs.

  12. Re: England > Weekend > Barclays Premier League > 21-22 January

4pts - Everton v Blackburn - Blackburn +1AH @ 1.92 Bet365 Everton look way to short to win this IMO and I think we have great value on Blackburn with the plus handicap. Everton have injuries in key positions and even when at full strength they aren't a high scoring free flowing side. Everton have only managed to win one home game by more than a goal this season, and that was their 2nd home game against Wigan winning 3-1. Blackburn have really improved of late and have only lost by more than 1 goal once in their last 7 away games. They have also scored in every away game this season, if they can keep that up then Everton are going to have to score at least 3 to see no return on this bet. Something Everton have only done once at home this season again in the 3-1 win against Wigan. Happy to be on Blackburn at this price and hoping for a minimum of stake returned.
Happy with that as it went pretty much as I thought. Blackburn kept up their scoring record and a poor Everton side never really likely to score 2 let alone 3. :cigar

  14. Re: Snooker: 2012 Masters

3pts - Selby v Lee - Selby -2.5 @ 2.10 Bluesq As the defending champion last year, Selby was sent crashing out in the 1st round to Mark King. I think he will want to make amends for that today and I'm hoping to see a clinical performance in which he will prevail no worse than 6-3. In the last four meetings between the two they have been very one sided affairs with Selby winning, 5-2, 10-7, 5-1 and 10-3 in the final of this event back in 2008. Selby comes into the tournament on the back of a good year, reaching the final of the China Open and winning the Shanghai masters. To be fair Lee has also seen a resurgence in form and has done well to claw his way back into the top 16. However I think Selby will have too much class for him today and I will take him to cover the handicap.
How did this not come in ???? :@ :@ :@ Selby was at the table twice with two breaks of over 50 and failed to finish the frame. He then followed in the brown with only the blue, pink and black left, but of course he then managed to compose himself with a break of over 70 to win the next frame and only win 6-4. :wall :wall :wall

  16. Re: Snooker: 2012 Masters Higgins v Stevens - 4pts over 9.5 frames @ 2.00 Skybet Higgins v Stevens - 2pts Stevens win @ 2.75 Skybet I fancy a close game between these two and its one that I think Stevens has a decent chance to win - certainly better than the odds on offer IMO. Stevens has already beaten Higgins twice in the premier league this season and has showed signs of getting back to his earlier career form, which has seen him get back into the top 16. Higgins on the other hand hasn't had the greatest of seasons so far, going out of the UK Championship to Stephen Maguire with his best ranking event the QF of the Shanghai Masters. In three meetings between the two last year Stevens holds a 2-1 lead although these wins were both in the Premier League format, with Higgins winning 5-3 in the Welsh open. I dont see either player winning this any better than 6-4, so I will take the over's on frames and a little nibble that Stevens can come out on top.

  17. Re: Cricket: South Africa vs Sri Lanka ODI Series Two of my favourite bowlers in world cricket on show in this match and I fancy both to be amongst the wickets. In what is expected to be not too a high scoring game I think we should see plenty of wickets fall for both sides. If that happens then for me these two look the most likely guys to take them. 2pts - 4 wickets or more - Malinga @ 9.00 Bluesquare Sri Lanka welcome back their best bowler in this form of the game and someone who will fire in the yorkers at the beginning and death. In 4 ODI's v SA he has managed two previous 4 wicket hauls - with 4 wickets in consecutive balls in the world cup in 2007. To have any chance in this match Sri Lanka will need him to fire and with the odds on offer I will have little play that he brings in at least 4 today. 2pts - 4 wickets or more - Steyn @ 7.50 Bluesquare Surprisingly to me Dale Steyn has not been as destructive in the ODI game as in the test arena. In his two previous matches v Sri Lanka he has taken 3 wickets in the one innings @ 3/47. He has managed 4 wickets or more 5 times in 57 ODI matches. However I just fancy him to carry his good work from the Test game into this series and I will have a little nibble on him taking at least 4 today.

  18. Re: 2012 PDC World Darts Championship

5pts - Hamilton v Whitlock - over 20.5 180's @ 2.00 Sportingbet I think this is a great price for a line I think is too low. Other bookies have this set at over 21.5 180's @ 1.83. I think this is a match that should have enough legs to see both players contributing a large chunk towards this line. Both score heavily enough to hold their own throws and if we can get 8 or 9 sets then I think we should see this covered. Hamilton hit 11 in 7 sets v Huybrechts, and 6 in 4 sets v Chisnall Whitlock hit 8 in 6 sets v Anderson, and 12 in 7 sets v Van Gerwen If we get the match I'm hoping for then this line could well get smashed out of the park. :ok
Job done on the 180s going into the final set :cigar A great game of darts, and fingers crossed the next one could be even better.

  20. Re: 2012 PDC World Darts Championship

4pts - Painter v Part - Painter 180's over 5.5 @ 2.00 Skybet In a match that I expect to be pretty close and contain plenty of legs. I think this is a decent price for a line I think Painter can cover. He managed to hit six 180s in his first round match in 4 sets against Monk. He only hit three 180s in his second match in 7 sets against Walsh - however he did 25 140's in this match so he was scoring well. I think Painter will need to raise his game in this match and I think he can do it and bring in the required 6 x 180s here. :ok
Job done in 9 legs of darts :cigar

Dunno about anyone else but I'm going right off Newton during this match' date=' love to see Pipe win this although fair play to Wes on the 170.[/quote'] Yeah, really disappointing from Newton. As they said in commentary he wasn't complianing when he was winning 2-0. Good shout on Pipe Kev :ok
