  1. Re: Midweek > League 2 > March 5th/6th

4pts Southend v Crawley - over 11 corners @ 2.05 Bet365 It has to be said I haven't been that successful in my corner markets bet recently. I lost out by one on the Crawley match last week. However this game fits into my selection criteria so I will push on with another play. Southend have gone over this line 3 out of their last 6 home games. Managing 10,11,6,5,9 and 6 themselves. They nearly covered the line on their own in the last 2 home games, and have gone over 2 out of the last 3 with the other match having 11. Crawley have only gone over this line once in their last 6 away games. However they have contributed 7,5,11,8,3 and 6 corners in these matches. In Crawley we have an away side who should contribute largely to this line If we have an average corner count from both sides then we will see this come in. At odds above evens I have got to have a play.
10 corners = Loss We didn't get a corner until the 29th minute which was a bit of a killer. We then got 7 before the 60th minute and it was looking good. However the sending off killed the game a bit and we only got 3 more in the final 30 minutes.

  3. Re: La Liga - 3-5 March

3pts - Real Madrid v Espanyol - Corner Handicap Espanyol +3 @ 2.00 Bet365 Even though they are beating all before them and normally pretty heavily, they aren't really dominating in terms of corners. Maybe this is because when they are getting near the opposition box they are simply scoring. Real Madrid last 6 home games have managed 6,14,3,4,10 and 3. Take out the two standout numbers of 14 and 10 and the plus 3 handicap is looking very big. Espanyol last 6 away games have managed 2,4,4,4,4, and 6. I know they will see less of the ball and this is against Real Madrid. However if Espanyol can have an average match and get around the 4 count then this could be enough to see this bet home. This bet could go horribly wrong but I see some value in getting a +3 start for even money and will have a small play.
It finished 9 - 3 to Madrid so 9 -6 with +3 handicap. Madrid got 3 or 4 in the last ten minutes to screw this one.

  5. Re: Fulham v Wolves > 4th March

5pts - Fulham v Wolves - BTTS @ 1.80 Bet365 Fulham have only failed to score at home twice all season. Once on the opening day against Villa, and once against Man Utd. They look to be clicking under Jol and the new striker Pogrebnyak has hit the ground running with a couple of goals. However they have only kept one clean sheet at home in the last 6 games. A 2-0 win against a pretty toothless Bolton side. Wolves have a good scoring record away from home and have scored on their last 6 away visits. These matches include goals against Man Utd, Arsenal, Spurs and Newcastle - so that is 4 out of the top 6. They also came back from 2 -0 to draw 2 -2 last time out so they are playing for the new manager. However they have only kept one clean sheet away all season against Villa. I expected the odds on BTTS to be around 1.70 so I'm very happy to take the 1.80 on offer here.
5 - 0 = Loss Wolves didn't manage a shot on target until injury time. You have got to fear for them after a performance like that.
  6. Re: Weekend > Championship > March 2/3/4

4pts - Cardiff v West Ham - over 2.5 goals @ 2.08 Betfair Cardiff have gone overs in 5 out of their last 6 home games - scoring 3 goals themselves on 3 occasions and only keeping 1 clean sheet. Won 3-1 in their last home fixture West Ham have gone over 4 out of their last 6 away games - only failing to score once themselves and only keeping one clean sheet. Won 1-4 in their last away fixture
0 - 2 West Ham = Loss After a terrible first half from both teams we had more than enough chances for the 3 goals in this match. Although Cardiff were still poor they hit the woodwork twice and Maynard missed a couple of great chances for West Ham.
  7. Re: Weekend > Championship > March 2/3/4

5pts - Blackpooll v Hull - Corner handicap Blackpool - 1 @ 1.95 Bet365 Hull are a well organised side under Barmby and they have the tightest defence in the Championship. I think it will be hard for Blackpool to break them down tonight, but I expect them to be on top for large periods of the game and I think they can cover this corner hanicap in the process. Blackpool have managed 3,6,11,11,6 and 8 corners in their last 6 home games. In these matches they would have covered this handicap 4 out of 6 games. Hull have managed 3,5,3,5,3 and 2 in their last 6 away games. In these matches they would have only beaten this handicap once in 6.
9 - 5 to Blackpool on corners. A nice win to start the weekend with. Well done to all other winners.

  11. Re: Upgrade - Outstanding Problems/Issues?

This is garbage, I am well out of date: http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_stats.asp
I work in IT myself and we still roll out all new kit with IE. In general the standard users don't like change and they are quite happy with IE. However the main reason we run IE is we have several bespoke web based Apps that have real issues running in anything other than IE. IE - is still going strong :unsure
  12. Re: Spurs v Man UTD > 4th March

Any Spurs fans with a view on what will be the impact of Parker being suspended for this? Does Sandro offer adequate cover??
We missed Parker for a few games this season with a knee injury and a combination of Livermore and Sandro came in and did a decent job (having said that we weren't playing Man United) Modric is the man who really makes us tick in midfield and I would be more concerned if we lost him. IMO Sandro should be able to come in a do a good enough defensive job that Parker missing won't be too much of a loss. However having said that I wouldn't be touching us with a bargepole. Are record against United is awful and IMO this isn't the game we wanted on the back of the NLD performance. On the flip side we may well see a bit of backlash, but I will give this one a swerve.
  13. Re: Midweek > League 2 > Feb 27/28

5pts Morecambe v Daggers - Morecambe win @ 1.80 Bet365 Morecambe have been in good form of late winning their last 2 home games without conceding a goal and drawing their last 2 away games 1-1. They only sit 7 points of the play offs. I think they will see this game against the bottom team as a perfect opportunity to put points on the board and close that gap Daggers drew 0-0 against lowly Plymouth at the weekend, but prior to that they had lost their last 3 away games. They haven't managed to score more than one goal in an away game all season and have only kept 1 clean sheet in their last 13 away. This tells us all we need to know about their struggles and why they currently sit bottom of the pile I think Morecambe are a decent enough price here and I will go halfway with 5pts.
Loss 2 - 1 win for Daggers and a well deserved win by the sound of things. A few surprising results around tonight, so well done to all winners.

  15. Re: Midweek > League 2 > Feb 27/28 Cheers mate, well done on your Shrewsbury shout. Tbh I was probably a bit greedy and I should have taken the Asian handicap line on over 10 @ 1.85. At least that would have meant a refund. Maybe that will teach me for next time.....but I doubt it. Anyway onwards and upwards :ok

  16. 4pts Over 10 corners @ 2.00 bet365 Shrewsbury have gone this line in 4 out of their last 6 home games. Managing 12,9,8, and 10 themselves along the way. Crawley have only gone over in 1 of their last 6 away games. However they have managed 5 or more corners themselves in 3 of these 6 games. If they manage 5 again tonight then I think we will have enough to cover this line.

  17. Re: Premier League Darts - Week 2 6pts - Whitlock v Wade - Wade highest checkout over 102.5 @ 1.83 WilliamHill Great stuff in here last week guys. One that I really like the look of tomorrow and I am will get involved with a decent bet Even when not at his best in a leg Wade is more than capable of punishing his opponents with big checkouts. He managed a 126 and 121 in the 5 legs he won against the hammer. With the scoring power of Whitlock I think Wade will have to check out similar scores tomorrow just to stay in the game. Last week Wade finished with a three dart average of 91.20 compared to Whitlocks 95.80. I'm a big Wade fan and although I won't back him to win tomorrow I think he is capable of giving Whitlock a decent game, and I will back him to cover this line along the way.

  18. 4pts - Player performance 40pts and over - SCJ Broad @ 1.83 Bet365 Deliberated over this for a while, but decided to get involved. Broad was bowling as well as I have seen towards the end of the test series and I fancy him to carry that on today. Undoubtedly the pitch will be more suited to spin, but this was also the case in the test series. I think Broad is doing enough with the ball to trouble the Pakistan batting line up and I think can take a few wickets today. Unfortunately, due to the poor quality of England's batting I can also see him getting more than enough over to contribute with the bat - and again he showed in the test series he can score runs in these conditions. You can also add the chance of the odd catch as he has managed 18 is ODI career so far. While I don't expect him to cover this line on either discipline alone. I do think we have enough scope for him to get over with all three.
Perhaps I should have deliberated a bit more. That was a shocking call Well done to all the winners

  20. Re: Blackburn v Newcastle > 1 Feb 4pts - Blackburn v Newcastle - over 2.5 goals @ 2.00 Bet365 Seems to be a fairly popular bet on here, but I will just add my thoughts. Blackburn have gone over in their last 4 home games. Scoring and conceding at least one in each game. Newcastle have gone over in 3 out of their last 4 away games. Conceding in each game and only failing to score once. Blackburn have the chance to climb out of the bottom three, while Newcastle could rise to 5th place. Both have plenty to play for and I expect a decent open game and one that will hopefully see at least 3 goals.
