  1. Re: Stop the winning streak This is a pretty good idea actually and could make an interesting and successful system. Is there a stringent set of rules you apply to find your selections or is it based solely on what you think is going to happen? Also is there a minimum price you would accept or do you take any odds?

  2. Re: Cricket: India vs New Zealand - ODI Series Last ODI starts at 0900 GMT and I been reading a few previews of the final match. New Zealand have effectively been battered on this tour, they haven't won a single thing and to be honest I don't really know if they will. In the previous ODI New Zealand came hard and actually thought they were couldn't really blow a match where they scored 315/7 in the first innings, yet somehow they did and I think that will completely knock the stuffing out of them. I think that was their best chance of getting a result here and with them 4-0 down, I expect India to complete the whitewash. 2pts - Zaheer Khan (Player Performance) 30 & Over @ 5/6 I think this line is ever-so-slightly low. I'd say Zaheer Khan is a pretty good bowler and isn't completely useless with the bat. He will be given the new ball tomorow and only needs to take two wickets for this to come in (which he did in the 3rd ODI). The only major issue I have with this bet is the fact that Indias top-order are in such good form at the moment that they may not lose enough wickets for Khan to come in! Nevertheless 30pts is a low enough for me to take, I wouldn't have gone near this if it was near 40 but hopefully he does the business with the ball. 3pts - Highest Opening Partnership - India @ 4/6 India have taken this every single time and there seems to be nothing that can stop Gambhir and his opening partner score runs. Parthiv Patel will open with him in this match and will look to cement his place in the side ahead of the world cup with another confident performance with the bat after his 53 in the last match. Despite NZ putting up a fight in the last match with an opneing stand of 62, the rest of NZ's series opening stands have gone 32, 2 and 14. Not that brilliant. Another India win here for me. GL any punters :hope

  3. Re: Cricket: Sri Lanka vs West Indies - ODI Series + Twenty20 International 1pt - Sri Lanka Top Series Batsmen - Kumar C Sangakkara @ 3/1 This is my first venture into a Top Batsmen market however I am quietly confident of this one coming in. Sangakkara is a class act as a keeper, a class act as a batsman and a class act as a captain. He has held down the #3 spot in the Sri Lankan side for ages now and is one of their most consistent performers. I expect him to perform just as well as he did in Australia and in the Asia Cup in his home Sri Lankan conditions against a fairly unspectacular West Indies bowling attack. The odds aren't spectacular but I think this market is going to be won by either Sagakkara or Dilshan. I'm going to stick with the former.

  4. Re: UEFA Champions League > Tuesday 7th December Man Utd: Amos, Rafael Da Silva, Ferdinand, Vidic, Fabio Da Silva, Nani, Carrick, Anderson, Park, Berbatov, Rooney. Subs: Kuszczak, Giggs, Smalling, Hernandez, Fletcher, Obertan, Macheda. Valencia: Guaita, Miguel, Ricardo Costa, Dealbert, Mathieu, Pablo, Banega, Albelda, Jordi Alba, Dominguez, Aduriz. Subs: Cesar, Maduro, Soldado, Mata, Feghouli, Costa, Isco. Fergie is seemingly putting out his strongest team available and has been quoted pre-match that he really wants to top the group. Interesting to see Valencias team minus Soldado and Mata in the starting line up as well maybe suggesting that they're content with mere qualification. The intent is there for United and they are formiddable at home in the Champions League. Manchester United AH (-1) @ 1.875 all of a sudden seems rather appealing. Will stick a few units on that.

  5. Re: UEFA Champions League > Tuesday 7th December Bursaspor vs. Rangers Bursaspor are bottom of the group with 0 points from a possible 15. Rangers have already secured 3rd spot and with that, A Europa League place. Using that logic, they, in theory have nothing to play for. There have been rumours flying around that Walter Smith may rest Kenny Miller blah blah blah further supporting the fact that this is a dead rubber to them. Similarly Bursa on the other hand also have nothing to play for however, I'm sure they will not want to leave the Champions League without any points. Now using the facts that I have just mentioned, its almost impossible to back a winner. However Rangers really aren't that great going forward and have won just one of their last 17 Champions League away games. Bursa will be at home in front of their fans playing for nothing, probably looking to just express themselves. Bursaspor to Win & Under 2.5 Goals was priced at 4.00 with Bet365 however I am not 100% on the result. For that matter I shall back: Bursaspor to Score First @ 1.66 FC Copenhagen vs. Panathinakos The Danish side will become the first team in Danish history to reach the knockout stages of the Champions League with a win here, at home infront of thousands of their fans. They've actually been quite impressive this season in the Champions League and will definitely want to avoid falling short here with history awaiting them. Pana have been diabolical this year. They're bottom of the group with nothing to play for having not scored in their last three Champions League games. They have left Georkas Seitiridis and Sidney Govou behind in Greece too for reasons I am not 100% sure about. The manager has been quoted in saying he wants to take this game seriously but I just think Copenhagen have the ultimate motivation in this tie and won't be stopped by a weak Panathinakos team. There isn't really any value in the straight Home Win at 1.50 so I will take the AH (-1) market to get some cover on a narrow win. Copenhagen AH (-1) @ 1.90 Some tough fixtures today actually. However, those are my picks, they pay 3.15 in a double. Get involved. :hope

  6. Re: UEFA Champions League > Wednesday 8th December Arsenal vs. Partizan Belgrade. I really feel to go all the way in with Arsenal as I feel they're going to dish out a crushing victory in this match. We all know that Partizan are not playing for anything and come to the Emirates against an Arsenal team that MUST win this game to progress. Depsite Arsenal only winning by one goal on the weekend, they played imperious football at times and I'm pretty sure a fairly weak Partizan team will have no match for it. Arsenal have plenty of time to prepare for their visit to Old Trafford on monday and as someone mentioned earlier, a convincing victory here could go a long way in sending out a message to United. Arsenal don't really have any fresh injury worries to deal with and will definitely want to give people like RVP, Walcott and others returning from injury as much game time as possible. It's rare that I speak so confidently about a result but I really cant look past an absolute tonking here. Arsenal on a normal day will despatch of Partizan without too much trouble so I hope they do this when they need it. Obviously the bookies have given very little value on the Asian lines with Arsenal -2.5 @ 1.95 on Bet365! However, I have found a few gems and am willign to stick a few units on these. Arsenal to Win Both Halves @ 1.72 Arsenal 1st Half AH (-1) @ 1.75 Incidentally I also like the line on Over 2.5 between Braga and Shakhtar so may consider backing that at small stakes nearer the time. The current line on that is at 2.00 which I fully expect to come in nearer the time. The Arsenal odds will no doubt come in over the next 48 hours too so will be taking them soonish. GL all :hope

  7. Re: Cricket: The Ashes 2010/11 Broon and Manuel I wish you the best of luck on your punts. Personally I dont think you have a great deal to be concerned about at the moment. We saw on the first day of this test and in the 1st test itself that this Australian batting line up isn't the greatest and the England bowling attack definitely has enough in their armoury to get ten wickets before stumps tomorow. I don't know if you were watching earlier today when Bumble got the third eye graphic about the current Australian tail too. It doesn't speak volumes. My fingers are crossed for you both. I know its early but Kev your session runs shout sounds like a good one. Four consecutive maidens to start this session and Swann is making this ball chat. GL all.

  8. Re: Cricket: The Ashes 2010/11 2pts - Overs at Fall of First Wicket - Under 13.5 @ 1.83 First bet of the day for me. We've already seen that Watson is not content with just blocking and prodding this morning having already seen a thick edge and a streaky flash through the gap at gully. I'm pretty sure Anderson and Broad are going to continue to tempt him with the drive and bowl wide outside off stump for him. Anderson is getting a tiny bit of lateral movement too which I'm sure he'll relish so I'm hoping he'll get a breakthrough early on. Still not 100% convinced on Katich too. As I write this, I have 9 overs for this to come in. :hope

  9. Re: Cricket: The Ashes 2010/11 Pietersen is playing majestically at the moment. I'm hoping to god the figure of 158 scares the fxck out of him again or he gives his wicket away before 170 but unfortunately I really cant see it happening. Collingwood looks good too. Really tough times ahead for Australia man Doherty is bowling awfully.

  10. Re: Cricket: The Ashes 2010/11 2.5pts - Wickets Lost After 400 runs / Under 3.5 @ 1.61 Not that much reasoning needed here. I expect England to continue with their progress today and push on, ensuring all batsmen get time at the crease and to psychologically frustrate Australia as much as possible. Only 75 runs needed for this to happen and two partnerships to do it. Expect that to be done near enough in this partnership alone. I also got on Spooner's tip. Saw it abit late though so got Pietersen Runs / 120-170 @ 2.87. GL all :hope

  11. Re: Cricket: The Ashes 2010/11 Cook to Score Over 87.5 @ 1.61 :D Wickets lost for 150 Runs (England, 1st Inns) - Under2.5 @ 2.00 :D Also went on very small stakes on Pieterson to Score Over 61.5 @ 2.10. I touched on it earlier, he's due a big innings and personally think he'll relish this flat wicket and toiling bowlers. He's been waiting an awful long time to get out in the middle and this is a perfect opportunity for him to silence any long lasting critics and get some runs on the board.

  12. Re: Cricket: The Ashes 2010/11 The temperature out there has reached 36 degrees. its fxcking hot out there and this is looking like its getting worse and worse for the Australian team. I was just watching Bollinger walk back from his last ball and he looked like he wanted to pass out. Unless one of these two make a serious, serious mistake sometime soon, I expect these to maybe both hit centuries. About twenty minutes ago, I got on Cook to Score Over 87.5 @ 1.61 and as it stands, it looks like a decent shout. I have a massive feeling that Pieterson is due a monster innings soon and this looks like a great chance for him to do the business when he comes in next. I'd be looking at Pieterson to score a 50 and a Century very early on when he comes in. Harris and Bollinger haven't really looked that threatening since the first couple of overs and Watson has been god awful. England looking good here.

  13. Re: Cricket: India vs New Zealand - ODI Series 2pts - Kyle Mills - 34 & Over @ 1.83 Okay so in the 1st ODI, he got three wickets and hit 32 with the bat. Impressive all round performance, especially for a number 10. In the last match he didnt fare that well. Well tbh, no-one did, Gautam Ghambir just wanted to destroy anything in his path. I feel however, that this isn't a bad line for an opening bowler. New Zealand need to win this to have any chance in this series so I expect them to at least try and have a bit of a go. Two wickets here and this is sorted. I don't think thats out of Kyle Mills reach. He hit 13 with the bat in the last match too so he's not completely useless. Might save me if he only bags one wicket.

  14. Re: Cricket: The Ashes 2010/11 I've continued my success on the Ashes. Yesterday for some reason when Australia were 94/3 at Lunch, Bet365 were doing Australia to score Under 373.5 Runs @ 3.00! I went in with 8 units. Comfortably came in. I also backed Michael Clarke to Score Under 52.5 Runs @ 1.61. He went two balls later to Anderson :eyes Will update later with my bets for this evening. I think England will ensure they get a big First Innings lead so will be looking at England to make big runs.

  15. Re: Cricket: The Ashes 2010/11 This match is going to end in a Draw so I am going to bed. Every single thing that I have called and posted on in this First Test has come in, however I have only placed money on 1 thing. Suppose its not necessarily a bad thing though. I had 2pts on England DNB before the match started so that stake should come back in too. Alastair Cook to score 200 or More @ 2.10 - This was comfortable and was a fxckin good price too. :) Jonathon Trott to score Over 116.5 @ 2.20 - He has looked in very good nick this morning so that should follow soon. Well done to any profit returners this past week. :clap Bring on next friday!

  16. Re: Cricket: The Ashes 2010/11

3pts Day 5 Session 1 Runs - Over 96 11/10 Stan James 2 and a quarter hour session 1st up so we should be looking at around 32 overs at least in this session. There's nothing to stop England scoring this morning. The wicket still looks good and the ball is wearing old now. England will dig in for maybe the opening hour but as the draw becomes more secure we'll get more expansive and look to put them in. Cook's looking ultra good and even a wicket to fall wouldn't be a disaster with Pietersen a naturally quick scorer next in. Big ground, tired bowlers, lots of gaps and for me it'll equal more than 96 runs in this opening session.
This is going to come in comfortably. Good shout :ok
  17. Re: Cricket: The Ashes 2010/11 I am looking for some in-play markets here and I can't really see anything worth backing. Alastair Cook to score 200 or More @ 2.10 w/ Bet365 is interesting but I'm not sure he'll stick around for that long. He's looked solid this morning but its abit too much of a risk for me to stick anything on. Jonathon Trott to score Over 116.5 @ 2.20 is another one. To be truthfully honest I think this is a better and more safer option and I may go in with 3pts however, I shall wait to see how Mitchell Johnson does in the beginning overs of his spell. We know he is hungry for some wickets and could come in with some mad pace which we know he is capable of.

  18. Re: Cricket: The Ashes 2010/11 The way I see it now is that the match is England's to lose. There are three sessions left and England are leading by 89 with 9 wickets intact. I predict that they'll just ensure that they don't lose the match today and give themselves a small chance of a victory. They will probably step up the run rate a touch and declare about two thirds of the way through the middle session, then put Australia in with about 10/15 overs to spare before tea in a small attempt to bowl them out in a session and a bit. However, I don't know though if England will up the scoring rate from the beginning to ensure an unassailable lead is set for Australia (probably around the 300 mark) or if they'll just be content with scoring slowly for a while to play for the draw. It's for that reason that I am staying away from all bets on this day. I just dont know what Strauss' and Englands motives will be and am not willing to guess anything.
