  1. Re: Indian Premier League Usual IPL so far for me. 3 wins followed by four losses, followed by three wins, followed by two losses. But so we progress: - 6pts Kolkata vs Rajasthan | Total Sixes: Under 8.5 @ 5/6 via Stan James Simple one for me here and I'm shooting unders on this very high sixes line. I think we've all pretty much gathered that a Glenn Maxwell assault aside, these pitches seem to be playing very difficult to score on. Unders on runs and unders on sixes have been the way to go here and I'm finally catching on with this bet. KKR don't hit very many boundaries. Their key players don't really score many runs and their bowling is good enough to ensure the other team don't either. There have been eight night games here at Abu Dhabi, the highest amount of sixes seen has been 7. It would be just my luck to get gubbed here in this game but I can't see it happening. I'm shooting unders and letting this one play out.

  2. Re: Indian Premier League I seem to pop up every season for the IPL and then vanish into obscurity for the rest of the year. But alas here I am. Now I don't want to regurgitate everything that I have said HERE but I'll summarise my main thoughts ahead of this years competition. I can't look past Chennai for the overall tournament. Their side to me is the most balanced, they have the best skipper in the business and they've been there and done it before which counts for a lot in this format of the game. I really do not like RCB. They're bowling is futile. Neither Mumbai too. Chennai for me. I seem to always back kKR in some shape or form for this tournament and you might think I'm mad for doing so this year but I can't have this price for them. Their bowling this year has stepped up massively. In the same way that Steyn/Sharma/Mishra led a terrible Hyderabad side to an impressive season last year I really think the additions of Vinay Kumar (very handy seamer), Piyush Chawla, Morne Morkel and Pat Cummins can help Narine for KKR this year. I venture more into trading than backing outright nowadays, I really can't see that price on them sticking around for much longer. I'll back them tentatively with a few to trade later on for sure. As for Top Batters. I like Hussey again this year. He won the whole thing last year, I'm pretty sure he'll play every match for Mumbai Indians and I'm sure he'll be as solid as ever. Virat Kohli needs absolutely no introduction. He's the worlds best batsman for me at the moment and again, at Number 3 he'll get time at the crease and is almost guaranteed runs at the Road over in Bangalore. Skinny odds, but fuck it, that'll get smaller as well. Narine, top KKR bowler is an easy one. Not sure how that is 15/8. Similarly, I like Mitchell Johnson for KXIP. My only concern with that is his fitness levels not holding up but even still, dude is arguably the best pace bowler in the world right now. He took the most wickets in the whole competition last year and really and truly, he can afford to miss a few games and still take more wickets than anyone over at Kings' franchise. Speaking of the Aussies, I really really want to back Glenn Maxwell in some style but I'm tentative. He had a very questionnable IPL last year and I'm not sure how much to read into that. I feel in the past 12 months he's come into his own as a player and really found out who he is. Due to him potentially not playing high enough up the order, I don't want to take him on in the Top Runscorer market. I don't fancy him for his Top Franchise runscorer either. I like him in Most Sixes though. My guy deals in 6's and not 4's. He can really hit that thing when he wants to and at 6/1 I like him to rival Gayle who is unbackable at odds-against. Especially with Gayle's new tactic of blocking everything until getting to 30 and then getting out. I haven't decided on pulling the trigger on that yet but I'm keen on Maxwell running the big guy close. – Back Chennai Super Kings at 5.6 – Back Kolkata Knight Riders at 13.0 – Back Virat Kohli at 6.0 – Back Michael Hussey at 19.5 – Back Sunil Narine to be KKR’s Top Wicket Taker at 15/8 @ Stan James. – Back Mitchell Johsnon to be KXIP's Top Wicket Taker at 6/4 @ Stan James. To conclude then, the following are my bets for this years tournament. I seem to have a lot more luck trading t20 games than betting on them outright so you may not see that many posts in here from me as the tournament goes on. As a rule of thumb though, hold fire on opposing Rajasthan Royals at home and be wary of backing the side batting FIRST at RCB. That's fucked me major in the past. Good luck and god-speed my brothers.

  3. Re: Indian Premier League 2013 Nice start Kev. Didn't get time to write my tip yesterday before the start yesterday but as I said in my preview I always like to get on Unders in the Runs market whenever KKR bowl first at Eden Gardens. Stan James had their line set at UNDER 152. Wasn't even close. Today will be something similar. The Chinnaswamy is a pitch prone to high scores and both sides are equally capable of doing so. There is no Malinga for Mumbai today, neither Zaheer for Bangalore beaning both sides two premier bowlers miss out. I will back any side to post a decent score here so as soon as the markets become available I will look for overs on the runs. If any bookmakers go as low as Over 160, I'll bite. Good luck to anyone having a go.

  4. Re: Indian Premier League 2013 Good luck everyone getting involved in this years IPL. I am not entirely sure what just happened to auto-save but I just lost a 500-plus word post with my tips ahead of this years competition. I really can't bring myself to do all the formatting and re-typing again so if you fancy a gander at my tips, head here. Let's hope Wednesday is the start of a great few weeks of cricket. Fingers crossed this is another profitable tournament from everyone.

  5. Re: ICC World T20 2012 An up-and-and down sees me at -0.72 so far. Hoping New Zealand win today to bring in that outright. One for the afternoon game: - 5pts England to beat India @ 11/10 [bet365] I honestly feel like England can take advantage today and go through this group stage 2/2. Dhoni has hinted at rotating his side today after already picking up a win in their first game and an un-balanced Indian side with some players who haven't played competitively in a while could come unstuck against a pretty solid England. The opening position has been a problem for India for a while. If they play five bowlers it'll make the batting lighter too so I fancy England to handle them today at odds against.

  6. Re: ICC World T20 2012 Bit too greedy yesterday, negated the decent start I had. Going to definitely swerve the early game. Good luck to you Sri Lanka backers. One for the afternoon: - 5pts Total Boundaries: Over 34.5 (Australia vs. West Indies) @ 5/6 [WillHill] This pitch at the Premadarsa can produce high scores. The boundaries aren't the longest, the outfield isn't the quickest and with the explosive talent on show here, overs has to be fancied. There were 31 boundaries when Ireland played Australia. In that match 123 played 125. England yesterday against Afghanistan had 36 and that is with Afghanistan getting skittled out for 80. There were also 34 when India played Afghanistan too and to be honest, neither of those games featured the all round firepower expected to line up today. Both teams are good enough to post decent scores here so the threat of a complete collapse isn't that great. Both teams (West Indies especially) will be looking for the win too so I see a potential high scorer and a slew of boundaries. Overs for me.

  7. Re: ICC World T20 2012 Three I like for England's first match too. - 5pts Player Performance: Craig Kieswetter 40&Over @ 5/6 [bet365] Like Mushfiqur Rahim, I see favourable returns for Craig Kieswetter. I won't go into too much detail as it's pretty much the same as above but Finn, Dernbach and Broad should provide enough pace to get the edges appropriate for Craig whilst Patel, Briggs and Swann provide stumping opportunites. He can feast on the modest bowling at the top of the order too to bring in the single pointers. Overs here. - 4pts Highest Individual Score: 50-74 @ 11/10 [bluesq] Decent pitch here at Colombo, it's conducive to some decent scores. Ireland bombed out to the Aussies but India posted 159 here two days ago and I think England can do the same here if they bat first. The scare here is if Afghanistan bat first and get skittled out cheaply but as we (agonisingly) saw earlier, even if that's the case, there is still scope for a 50. Afghanistan surprised many with their performance against India too so they should be filled with confidence to at least make this match competitive tomorrow. I reckon we'll see a top score closer to the Half ton than a full ton so I'll play here tomorrow. - 4pts Total Sixes: Over 6.5 @ 5/6 [WillHill] The boundaries here are clearable. India hit four here two days ago, Afghanistan themselves hit four too. England have players in their ranks to do the same. Hales, Morgan, Kieswetter, Wright and Buttler can all clear this with ease and with the modest bowling offered, I reckon there will be some about tomorrow. There hasn't been that many in the tournament so far admittedly but tomorrow could open the floodgates, I'll play overs here with clearable boundaries and big hitters expected to line up.

  8. Re: ICC World T20 2012 Levi finished on 50* would you believe. Robbed me of a nice full house. Kallis took the MOTM though and Ashwin did me good the other day so it's been a good start. Two to begin with tomorrow: - 2pts Bangladesh (vs. New Zealand) @ 2/1 [bet365] I have New Zealand to win the group in an outright which might negate this bet a touch but the odds here have drawn me in. I've been reading that the New Zealand camp have come down with a Sri Lankan remix of Delhi belly which has run through a few key players. This has obviously hampered their preparation and a few might not be match fit for tomorrow. On top of this, there is rain about. Now rain may reduce the number of overs available tomorrow which turns this into a bit of a lottery. In an even shortened game, anything can happen so at 2/1, I'll play and see if Bangladesh can exploit the Kiwis early up. - 4pts Player Performance: Mushfiqur Rahim 26&Over @ 5/6 [bet365] Mushfiqur Rahim has been one of Bangladesh's best players for a few years now. Skipper of the national side and arguably their most reliable batsman to go with it. He can honestly bring this line in with the bat alone but it's his keeping which attracts me here. I've been surprised with the bounce and the carry so far in these Sri Lankan pitches so keepers are always been in the action. Bangladesh have a few spinners in their ranks too so a stumping isn't too far away either especially in a potentially shortened game where batsman seek quick runs. Overs for me.

  9. Re: ICC World T20 2012 Two for today's match. - 3pts Highest Individual Score: 25-49 @ 11/4 [bluesq] I was going to shoot Under 55 in this highest individual score for this match but I saw this and thought it'd be more suitable. If Zimbabwe bat first I honestly cannot see them clearing 130. If that's the case then this should be calm. As Sri Lanka showed earlier in the tournament though, they can bat first, put up 182 and still not have any player hit a fifty. I really can't see a Zimbabwe player hitting a fifty and despite not being that great, I don't think theyre useless enough to not keep taking SA wickets if that needed to be the case. I'll shoot unders here and see what happens. - 1pt Man of the Match: Jacques Kallis @ 7/1 [bet365] If Zimbabwe bat first and get skittled out cheaply, it puts SA's top three in the firing line to top score and thus be MOTM. SA bat first and Kallis' mix of batting and bowling puts him right up there. If he stays within 10-15 runs of the top batsman but snags a wicket or two with the ball, he'll be right in the mix for this 7/1 shout. I'll play.

  10. Re: ICC World T20 2012 Not even I am tempted by the 18/1 on Afghanistan here! One for the second match: - 7pts Player Performance: Ravi Ashwin 32&Over @ 5/6 [bet365] I wanted to take Ravi Ashwin as the top bowler here but as far as I'm aware, the market isn't available in t20 cricket. Just like Mendis earlier on today I feel that the Afghanistani team will be mesmerised by his spin. They won't have played anything like that before competitively and I see an easy chance for two wickets later today. I am not that bothered about him making up points with the bat, I'm genuinely confident he'll do the business with the ball and I am willing to play fairly strongly early doors. Ashwin to take two wickets at Ladbrokes is 4/6. I'll play him at 5/6 here with him maybe only needing one. Confidently too.

  11. Re: ICC World T20 2012 Not heavily involved with the first of tomorrow's matches. - 1pt Ireland to beat Australia @ 7/1 [bet365] Limasiere tempted me into this bet I can't lie. He has outlined a much more detailed post earlier in the thread about this bet and I can only concur. I really can't be having any side at 7/1 in any T20, especially a side CAPABLE of a shock like Ireland are. Ireland are not useless by any stretch. They will go into this match completely carefree and with no pressure whatsoever. They will go out on that pitch and express themselves freely without the prospect of scrutiny or expectation. That alone is enough for me to take them against an Australian side that doesn't convince me. Bailey as a captain? Dan Christian? Brad Hogg? Really? These are good players but to me they're not world-beaters. They're a genuine batsman short in the middle order and Starc and Cummins are raw bowlers. Capable of great things but highly inexperienced. I will throw away a point to see what Ireland do here. Definitely. - 2pts Paul Sterling Sixes: Over 0.5 @ 7/4 [Ladbrokes] I mentioned before that Ireland will come into this match completely carefree and will express themselves however they please. This is something I expect Sterling to do and he only knows one way how. Less than three days ago he hit 71 off 41 including five sixes against a competent Bangladesh side so I think he can clear the ropes at least once against a raw pacey Australian side. They should offer at least one loose ball for him to get his teeth into. At nearly 2/1 I'll play he continues his hot streak with the bat with an early maximum.

  12. Re: ICC World T20 2012 I'm going to swerve the first match. I was ready to pull the plug on Under 6.5 sixes but as with any mismatch, the thought of the stronger side batting first and running riot scared me. I'll go safe and see how this pitch plays out. Best of luck to anyone who decides to play. Let's make this a profitable tournament.

  13. Re: ICC World T20 2012 - 2pts Top Afghanistan Batsman: Mohammad Shahzad @ 7/2 [WillHill] I only expect Afghanistan to play two matches in this competition. The batsman at the Top of the Order will more than likely get more time than the others to shine and that’s where Mohammad Shahzad comes right into my line of sight. He hit two fifties against England earlier on in the year for an ICC Associates XI. He also noasts a decent t20 average of 31 which trumps every other Afghanistani player. If he tees off in one match, he should take this market. I’ll play on his side. - 1pt Top Australian Batsman: Mike Hussey @ 5/1 [bet365] I already have a bet on Warner but if that fails then I think this will succeed. Hussey is effectively the Kallis of Australia. He’ll play every match, has a wealth of sub-continent T20 experience and has the ability of scoring steady 30s and beyond which is key to top tournament scoring. He looked good in his warm up match too, I think he’ll lead this suspect Australian middle-order and thus the whole Australian squad. - 1pt Top Bangladesh Batsman: Shakib al Hasan @ 4/1 [stan James] Shakib has been Bangladesh’s best player for a long time now. Tamim Iqbal will probably get the favourite tag for this market but he’s far too inconsistent for me. Shakib genuinely always produces the goods. He bats high enough to get the time needed to excel and he has the temperament to bat at 100.00 or 130.00. Wealth of sub-continent T20 experience at the highest level too. Shakib is my man for Bangladesh at 4/1.

  14. Re: ICC World T20 2012 - 1pt Top Tournament Batsman: David Warner @ 25/1 each-way [Paddy Power] - 1pt Top Tournament Batsman: Jacques Kallis @ 25/1 each-way [Paddy Power] Okay so my criteria for my Top Batsmen selections were as follows:

    • Has to play in a team with a strong chance of being present in the Semi Finals.
    • Has to Bat in the Top 3.
    • Has to be able to score runs relatively quickly
    • Will more than likely play every match.
    • A player with decent T20 experience

To be honest, quite a few players fit those criteria but I whittled it down to the two I liked the most. I cant see either team winning the whole thing but Australia should be good for a decent Super 8s run and SA might turn it on and make the semi’s. Warner we all know can turn this tournament upside down if he wants to. I can’t really see a him going all tournament long without hitting a score of above 70 which will put him in decent stead. Kallis should bat three for SA and his everpresence and his ability to score steady 30s again will put him up there with the leaders in this market. They should reach the semi’s too so I see 6 games for both players at the very minimum. - 1pt Top Tournament Bowler: Lasith Malinga @ 10/1 each-way [stanJames] - 1pt Top Tournament Bowler: Sunil Narine @ 16/1 each-way [skybet] These two almost pick themselves. Malinga on home turf should wreak havoc at least once in this tournament. Narine on these slow, low turners should provide some problems for a lot of batsment too. He has been around for some time now but he hasn’t played against every single country, especially in this format. He looked a fine bowler at the IPL this year for Kolkata so the experience gained there should see him go well here. I already have said that I exepct the Windies to go well here so he should get a decent amount of games in. The same goes for Sri Lanka.

  15. Re: ICC World T20 2012 I'm back for this World T20. I'll outline my outrights in a few posts. - 1pt West Indies to win the World T20 @ 13/2 each-way [Paddy Power] Probably reaching a bit here with the Windies but I honestly feel like this could be their time. When you look through their starting XI, you see a lot of talent. Twenty20 cricket is one of those games where one person having a stormer can really turn the game in your favour and when you pack Gayle, pollard, Samuels, Sammy, Narine, Rampaul, Russell and the Bravo Brothers you feel like that day may come moreoften than not. They should beat Ireland in their group and that should see them through to the Super 8’s. Man for man, they aren’t better than some other nations here but if they get off to a good start, the confidence should see them perform well. I wouldn’t write them off so I am going with the Windies over the next fortnight. - 2pts New Zealand to win Group D @ 11/4 [stanJames] I was researching these a few days ago and I liked the look of it. New Zealand really aren’t that bad of a side. They’re always one of those teams that are never really threaten to win but are steady quarter-final/super8 contenders. Their group consists of Bangladesh and Pakistan with Bangladesh being their first match. If they win that, which I wouldn’t put it past them doing, they should be sweet going into the last match against Pakistan. They have the players in their ranks to secure a decent NRR too so I am siding with NZ to take Group D. Decent price too.

  16. Re: Indian Premier League 2012

WIN - 1pt Tournament Winner: Kolkata Knight Riders @ 7/1 [General] LOSS - 2pts Top Tournament Batsman: Virat Kohli @ 8/1 ew [General] PLACE - 1pt Top Tournament Batsman: Gautam Gambhir @ 20/1 ew [betVictor] LOSS - 1pt Top Tournament Bowler: Ravi Ashwin @ 20/1 [General] LOSS - 1pt Top Tournament Bowler: Iqbal Abdulla @ 50/1 [betVictor] LOSS - 1pt: Top Deccan Chargers Batsman: JP Duminy @ 7/1 [stan James] LOSS - 2pts Top Kings XI Batsman: S Marsh @ 7/4 [betVictor] WIN - 3pts Top Tournament 6-Hitter: Chris Gayle @ 9/4 [stanJames] LOSS - 1pt Top Tournament 6-Hitter: S Raina @ 10/1 [stanJames] WIN - 2pts Top Pune Warriors Batsman: Robin Uthappa @ 7/2 [betVictor]
Been quiet on these parts but I feel I had to return to conclude a brilliant tournament. Great final today too I was pleased Kolkata brought home the goods. Great innings from Manvinder Bisla. All in all I'm pretty sure I am down for the tournament, but the speight of outrights helps somewhat. Gayle on the sixes was ridiculous, If I remember rightly he was something crazy like thirty ahead of the player in second place. He had one too many great innings for Gautam Gambhir who ended the Orange Cap race in second place, bringing in a nice each way earning. Robin Uthappa did the goods too and of course so did KKR. Unfortunately, Ashwin couldnt get going and the success of Sunil Narine limited Iqbal Abdulla's presence but they were minor in the grand scheme of things. A great tournament. Can't wait for next year.
  17. Re: Indian Premier League 2012 Good shout yesterday X, Pietersen's innings was insane, what a player. Going with the value today, this could well be throwing away 6pts but I've been genuinely priced in: - 3pts Kings XI Punjab (vs. Royal Challengers Bangalore) @ 7/4 [bet365] - 3pts Highest Individual Score: Under 55 @ 15/8 [stanJames] Theregets to a point where no team in any t20 match in the same tournament should be a certain price. On this pitch in Mohali against an RCB side who have been admittedly stuttering in recent games, 7/4 is one of those prices. There have been two games so far, Pune and Kings batted first here and the average of the two innings scores is 119.5. I remember the first match, the curator produced one of the greenest tops I have seen for a while and Dimi ran riot. Now, if RCB were to bat first and Gayle and Agarwal/Dilshan was to strike out early, I honestly think anything can happen here. Chawla, Mascarenhas and Praveen Kumar are the types of bowlers who can cause angst amongst batsmen if they turn up. If there were to be early breakthroughs for either side, this game becomes a lot even than the bookies have it priced up. Even without Gilchrist I think Kings can challenge RCB, if we get another slow deck then the unders comes into play too. Admittedly, the two top scores have been Above 55 in the two games here but again, if we get a 120 plays 120, 2/1 looks good. I'll chance my arm today.

  18. Re: Indian Premier League 2012 Not sure how I managed to mention Owais Shah's name in the previous write-up! Minor, Eden Gardens proved a nightmare again and ensured a decent profit for the day. Looking to continue that with two today: - 4pts Delhi Daredevils (vs. Mumbai Indians) @ EVS [General] Missed out on the 11/10 offered when I was looking last night on this which is slightly annoying but I feel Delhi can spring a mini surprise here. Both teams have had a significant rest in terms of IPL playing times and the heat in Mumbai should provide a good game. There was something about the ruthlessness that Delhi displayed to despatch Chennai last week that impressed me. Kevin Pietersen is in good nick. Mahela is back and Ross Taylor should play too. Add Sehwag in there and Delhi's batting now looks a formidable unit. Mumbai have all the talent but still don't overly convince. Their batting isn't completely secure for me and if Sachin doesn't play, it makes it even worse. Their bowling is tight as ever but even still the way Rahane and Owais Shah were taking them to the sword means they are far from invincible. I'll take the visitors here. - 6pts Total Sixes: Over 10.5 @ 5/6 [stanJames] Again, this was 9.5 last night when I was looking which is annoying. Regardless though, the firepower we have on show today with the good pitch and smallish boundaries at the Wankhede make this an attractive bet. 197 played 170 last week here which saw 22 sixes. Richard Levi, Rohit Sharma, Ambati Rayudu, Kieron Pollard, Sehwag, Pietersen, Ross Taylor AND Irfan Pathan? Barring some freak batting collapse, this should be cool.

  19. Re: Indian Premier League 2012 Chennai continue to defy. Jadeja top scored aswell at 10/1. Frustrating. Two for the first game tomorrow at Eden Gardens: - 4pts Highest Individual score: Under 55 @ 5/4 [stanJames] - 4pts Total Sixes: Under 8.5 @ 10/11 [stanJames] Eden Gardens is a nightmare for batsmen. Generally a sluggish deck which is difficult to score big runs. It was like that last year and has proven similar this. A few days back, Rajasthan only lost five wickets but struggled to 131 in 20 overs. Last year, KKR were chasing 120 when these two games met here. If KKR win the toss, they'll put Kings in to bat and Narine, Shakib and Pathan will handle twelve overs and attempt to strangle the fu*k out of this Kings line up. Similarly, Dmitri Mascarenhas, Praveen Kumar and Piyush Chawla will be equally as tough to get away. I intend to shoot unders on the 1st innings score line too. I envisage it starting off at around 140.5-150.5. I'll take unders on that as well as unders on the sixes. Without Mccullum and the introduction of Shakib and Tendo, the firepower in KKR's ranks is sedated a touch. Owais Shah has been creaming the DLF's in recent games and he is a threat to this bet but as mentioned prior I think it will be difficult to see 9 sixes tomorrow. Unders in both.

  20. Re: Indian Premier League 2012 Nice going you two. A good few days for the thread. Taken a few days out after a horrible start. Was annoying to miss out on an easy overs, a Kohli PP overs and a Chennai middle-order batsman place in THAT match the other day. I'll land it soon enough. One ahead of todays match. - 6pts Sixes Matchbet: Chennai Super Kings (vs. Pune Warriors) @ 19/20 [bluesq] The problem with Pune is their inability to keep wickets in hand. They struggled with that last year and they are struggling with it again this. If Ganguly, Uthappa, Ryder and Samuels got in and stayed in, they could cause some havoc. They rarely do though and that is why they struggle so much. Despite Chennai's shortcomings so far this season they have a very canny bowling attack which will be difficult for a stuttering Pune line-up to get away. Pune don't have anything serious in theirs to cause Du Plessis, Raina, Badrinath, Bravo, Dhoni, Morkel or Jadeja many problems. Chennai for me.

  21. Re: Indian Premier League 2012 Two for the second match: - 5pts Chennai Super Kings (vs. Delhi Daredevils) @ 10/11 [stanJames] I like the way Chennai performed against Deccan. They had all bases covered in that match and every player in their middle order contributed runs which is another positive. Their bowling is strong as ever too. Deccan could only muster 119 on a good pitch with Jadeja chipping in with 5 and Ashwin bowling 3 overs for 12. I sense more of the same tomorrow against a Delhi side I don't particularly rate. Of course it only takes a Sehwag massacre to make this game very interesting but his string of golden ducks at the moment plays right into anyone looking to back Chennai. Delhi won one match at home last season, I think Chennai will be running them close tomorrow afternoon. - 1pt Top Chennai Batsman: Ravindra Jadeja @ 12/1 ew [Coral] The annoying thing with Chennai is the fact that they shuffle their batting order quite a bit. Albie was 11's last time out but he didn't come out to play until no. 7 which meant him not getting a chance to swing. Jadeja came in at 5 last time out and top scored. The 12/1 on offer is surely too long on the $2m man here. Morne Morkel has been on fire lately. Murali Vijay doesn't know where he is. Faf du Plessis looked slightly uneasy the other day before he started seeing the ball better and clearing the ropes. If there are early breakthroughs tomorrow, the 12's on offer for Jadeja will become attractive. Dwayne Bravo came in and smashed 43 off 18 balls from no. 8 against Deccan. Jadeja has the ability to do the same so I will play with these odds to see how he fares. Place pays well too.

  22. Re: Indian Premier League 2012 Deccan haven't hit eight sixes in an innings since IPL3. Rohit's heroics still couldn't tip Mumbai over the edge in terms of the sixes matchbet. The tie takes me down to -10.35 heading into the first match tomorrow: - 4pts Player Performance: Virat Kohli 31&Over @ 5/6 [bet365] I generally like to avoid player performance bets in this format of the game but I like this line. What I like about Kohli is the fact that he will near enough always contribute points in the field. He is probably up there with the likes of Pollard and co as the best fielders in the competition so he will always be at backward point in the first 6 or at long on/cow corner in the latter stages. Add to the fact that he is a top batsman and you should have 31 points.

  23. Re: Indian Premier League 2012 Chennai annoyingly held Albie back the other day. Minor though, -5.35 heading into the one game tomorrow. One for that: - 5pts Sixes Matchbet: Mumbai Indians (vs. Deccan Chargers) @ 10/11 [bluesq] I'm going to be looking to oppose Deccan in the sixes department quite a bit. There isn't that many sixes in that side at all and what I like more about this bet is how strong Mumbai's bowling attack seems to be. They restricted Chennai and Pune to scores of 130 in their two matches so far and generally speaking Malinga, Harbhajan, Munaf Patel and Pollard with his annoying medium pacers are going to be tough to get away. Especially in a side like Deccan's with no real pyrotechnical players. Mumbai on the other hand can see maximums from Rayudu, Sharma, Sachin if he wanted to and Dinesh Karthik. Not to mention Levi and Pollard in there too. Deccan let Chennai hit 11 against them two days ago, I don't think that will happen again but Mumbai should have enough to see them take this.

  24. Re: Indian Premier League 2012 Got greedy with Pune. Sixes bet would've sufficed. Minor, onto tomorrow's double-header: - 3pts Double: Bangalore (vs. Delhi Daredevils) x Chennai (vs. Deccan Chargers) @ 2.65 [stanJames] These two SHOULD win their respective games tomorrow. RCB haven't played yet but they should have too much for Delhi at home. I must admit, I was impressed with Delhi the other day against KKR. Having said that though, batting first in a shortened match was always going to be difficult for KKR and Delhi exploited that well. On a good pitch at Bangalore I see this being a battle of the two batting line-ups and that is where RCB excel. Gayle, Kohli and Dilshan will relish the pace provided form Varun Aaron and Morne Morkel up top. If they're none or one down after six overs then the game could be lost already for Delhi. Similarly I like what they've done with the addition of Murali. Him alongside Zaheer and Dan Vettori should be difficult to get away. RCB for me. Chennai should also deal with Deccan. Again I wasn't impressed with their performance the other day but their squad is way too talented to continue that vein of form. Deccan, in my eyes have the weakest squad man-for-man in the competition. Without Sanga as well their team lacks any real potency. Chennai all day here. - 5pts Sixes Matchbet: Chennai Super Kings (vs. Deccan Chargers) @ 10/11 [betVictor] You look at this Deccan batting line-up and you really don't see sixes. They were horrible at clearing the ropes last year and they haven't really strengthened in the off-season. They're without Ishant Sharma and Pragyan Ogha. Sanga is away and so too is Darren Bravo. Chennai are in bits after they're pitiful match the other day but sixes are never too far away with Raina, Bravo, Dhoni, Morkel, Jadeja and Ashwin as your middle order. Chennai here thanks. - 1pt Top Chennai Batsman: Albie Morkel @ 11/1 ew [Coral] I don't really think any middle order batsman should be 11/1 in a t20 match. Especially one that comes in at no.5 and can biff a long ball. If Chennai are going well after ten overs, Morkel could even get promoted to three or four to come and spank a quick 20 and that could be more than enough for a place here. Murali Vijay looked massively out of sorts the other day and Faf Du Plessis isn't an out and out opener. Any failings there and this 11/1 on Albie will become a sexy bet. I'll throw away 2pts to see how Albie fares. A place is good enough.

  25. Re: Indian Premier League 2012 Knew I should've trusted my gut and gone with Pune. No team should ever be 2/1 in any t20 game. Anyway, I was waiting for the toss here in Jaipur. Happy with the result. - 8pts Kings XI Punjab (vs. Rajasthan Royals) @ 4/5 [WillHill] Six out of seven matches here last year went to sides batting second. As soon as KXIP won the toss, the price on them caved and I'm more than willing to be on them at home here. They haven't made wholesale changes to their team from IPL4, Rajasthan have lost Ross Taylor, Shane Warne and Shane Watson. Nothing in their squad overly scares me here and I think I am happy to be on Kings quite strongly. A good few hours here and I'll be back to even.
