  1. Re: Over 1.5 goals

Bank 2 Start bank £10. Bet 7 Trabzonspor vs Manisaspor Over 1.5 goals 4/11 £44.67 pays £60.91 :hope:cigar If I win this I will bank £40 which is what I originally started with and carry on with the £20.91 so heres hoping.
Well done, 1-1 after 64 minutes. I joined you on this one too, took 4/11 in play after 1-0. :ok
  2. Re: Spain - La Liga - 26-28 November Real Madrid v Atletico Madrid Total Goals - Under 3.5 @ 2.00 (Ladbrokes) Recent history has shown that following a big win, Real don't always follow it up and against a fired up Atletico this derby might not be the walk in the park some are thinking despite a big win in the Champions League and excellent form by Real. Atletico are with Falcao and a few others whilst Real are missing Kaka and Carvalho. I still see Real Madrid winning this, however I'm seeing a tight game with not many chances for Atletico, but Atletico sitting back much of the game and leaking a goal or two in the second half after too much pressure.

  3. Re: Bairn's Value Away Wins I quite fancy all of these too and going to try them in a Yankee.. £3.18 per bet (11 bets), 6 doubles, 4 trebles and accumulator...£34.98 total. Minimum returns as follows.... 2 winners - £52.09 3 winners - £389.16 4 winners - £2811.27 :eek None of them are really playing anyone beyond their capabilities and I think bairn is due a full house!

Man Utd v Man City Total Man Utd Cards - 2 to 3 @ 11/10 (William Hill) 5 pts Total Man Utd Cards - Over 3 @ 10/3 (William Hill) 5 pts Okay so this is guarenteed to be a fiery encounter. Neither side will want to concede first or lose this with the likely outcome being a score draw. I can see this getting pretty tense quite early on especially due to City's excellent form this season being a noticeable change from last season and the fact that Man Utd won so emphatically against City in the Community Shield earlier on. These games always have cards and with City's attack coming from all angles its likely United's defense at some point will get frustrated. This is kind of a 'draw no bet' type of bet for me. 5 points on 2 to 3 cards which if it remains the same will return my stake for the other bet. The other bet is Over 3 Man Utd cards which I will also stake 5 points. If this wins I am roughly looking at 5-6 points profit. The only drawback will be if Man Utd only get 1 card or no cards - almost impossible in this game! :hope
:nana:nana:nana 4 yellow cards for Man Utd = big profit! :beer
  5. Re: Spain - La Liga - 22-23 October

Just to let you all know that Ref Eduardo Iturralde Gonzalez is back tonight & is in charge of the Barcelona vs Seville match. After is 8 yellow cards & 2 red cards :eek dished out with him in charge of Ireland vs Armenia. So taking that all into consideration,I see Seville really struggling tonight I go for Total Cards - Away Team Over 3 cards @ 1.62 William Hill Good luck all :hope
This was one was totally smashed! 4 yellows, 2 reds for Sevilla! Well done.

  7. Re: Spain - La Liga - 22-23 October Malaga v Real Madrid Real Madrid -1 @ 2.10 (William Hill) Great price for this. Real Madrid pretty much have a full strength squad available with Benzema and Higuian in superb forming netting quite a few goals recently. Malaga are without Baptista and their goalkeeper who was red carded against Levante. Real Madrid beat Malaga 7-0 last time around earlier this year. I know that Malaga have upgraded their squad significantly with the likes of Van Nistelrooy however I still expect a convincing result from Madrid. It's games like these that will decide who starts to pull ahead in La Liga (if anyone) and Mourinho will have learnt his lesson from the loss to Levante a few weeks back and not take chances with a poorer starting 11. I expect the likes of Ronaldo, Kaka, Ozil and either Higuian/Benzema to start. Pretty confident on this one, going in with 10/10 stake. :hope

  8. Re: UEFA Champions League > 27 September Bayern Munich v Manchester City Draw or Man City @ 2.00 (PartyBets) 10 pts Pretty confident on this one. Bayern have been scoring bags of goals and their home/domestic form is very good. However, they haven't really been playing sides with the calibre of Manchester City. Both sides have lots of firepower up front and are pretty solid at the back to. To me, with the cracking form that Aguero is in, there is every chance he will grab a goal. Gomez for Bayern is playing well too and could quite easily do the same. I'm really feeling a score draw here however Man City have the firepower to get goals at any time from nothing.

  9. Inspired by richfock's thread here: http://forum.punterslounge.com/f19/100-100k-challenge-richfock-121503/ I'm doing this as a one off since it was pay day for me today and a fair bit of overtime came through so why not. This will be a one off, one try only - if I fail then I won't be putting this much money up again. Starting bank of £250. Aim is to reach £1000 (roughly). All in each bet. As with richfock's thread, I will be betting on DOUBLE CHANCE (win or draw) for favourites in doubles and trebles, with individual selection odds ranging from 1.10 to 1.60. Betting on FOOTBALL ONLY. This will take a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 3 bets to complete and will hopefully lead to a quick, substantial (one off) profit. This isn't intended as any kind of system as obviously there are shocks - only have to look back to a few days ago with Levante beating Real Madrid. First picks for tonight to follow shortly....... :hope

  10. Re: "€250 to €100k Challenge" by richfock

Yeah, as you might have read i will have to split the amount in different bookies in case a bet doesnt get accepted.. I tried a match with odds around 1,15 and bet365 was allowing up to 50-60k. If you more than one matches then the max bet drops. But for one match it was up to 60k. What i did notice was that they have a limit on max winnings for such odds and it was around 12k. Lets hope that i make it this far and then i guess splitting between different bookies wont be a problem..
Guess so! I like your picks because in my own experience when picking winners or favourites or winners more often than not the bet loses due to a hard fought draw (rather than the long shots actually winning outright). If you're sucessful tonight I'm going to give it a go myself (with a smaller target of 2k) - although I'll be avoiding the Carling Cup tommorow as that is a minefield!
  11. Re: "€250 to €100k Challenge" by richfock Good luck with this, in theory this could either make you a lot of money very quickly or lose a lot of money in a frustrating way with bets that appear little risk (i.e. Arsenal to win or draw at Blackburn and Real Madrid yesterday against Levante!). You are placing your bets with bet365? Are you having problems getting the bets accepted? I tried to see the maximum amount they would let me bet with your last bet and was allowed max stake of 900 euros - will bet365 let you bet 1k/2k plus on such small odds as 1.80? EDIT: Saw your first post again explaining the above.

  12. Re: UEFA Champions League > 13 September Borussia Dortmund v Arsenal Arsenal or Draw @ 1.83 Excellent value this. I don't see too much between the two sides in terms of quality. Neither are in good form, Borussia having lost their last match to a poorer side in Hertha Berlin. Arsenal have some good attacking players to call upon in Benayoun, Chu-Young, Van Persie, Gervinho etc who have Champion's League experience. Arsenal are coming off the back of their first win of the season and this is in effect a 'fresh start' for a new competition. This will be a hotly contested game which should be end to end with the calibre of players on both sides. I'm expecting a draw but should Arsenal win (also quite possible) I have that covered too. 1.83 is fantastic odds.

  13. Re: England > Midweek > Carling Cup > 30 August

Swindon Town v Southampton Total Goals - Over 2.5 @ 1.70 (William Hill) In terms of picking a winning side these early Carling Cup games are a lottery. Instead, I've been going for Over 2.5 goals recently and had a bit of success (if I remember rightly the last night of Carling Cup fixtures something like 16 out of 20 fixtures had Over 2.5 goals?). The one that clearly stands out is Swindon v Southampton. Southampton will rotate but are still a strong squad and will want a repeat of last year's Carling Cup run. Swindon haven't had the best start but these games are notorious for underperforming sides to pull out shock results as well as underdogs getting the results early on (MK Dons v Norwich last round getting four goals against a pretty much first team Norwich at Carrow Road!). Therefore, I'm going for Over 2.5 goals in this game, I'd be suprised if has no goals.
:cigar :nana was never in doubt.
