  1. Re: Serie A, 17/19 Feb Juventus v Catania Juventus are unbeaten in Serie A. Having drawn the past 2 league games 0:0, they are going to be under a little pressure to get an early goal. No fresh injuries, only a suspenssion to Vidal in midlfield. Catania have built up some confidence lately, unbeated in three matches, beating Genoa 4-0 last time out at home. They are close to the middle of the table and can afford to play an open game of football. Should be a few goals in this one. I will bet in play as I haven't found decent odds in any of the markets available.

  2. Re: Weekend > The FA Cup 5th Round > 18-19 Feb Sunderland v Arsenal Quite surprising to see everyone betting against Arsenal, who despite the trashing at ACM have the same players available that scored 12 in the past 5 domestic games.. They are currently 4th in the EPL which isn't bad either? The gunners are fielding the best team available to them, which indicates they are looking to keep their season alive.. FA Cup is probably the only winnable competition for Arsenal right now. Sunderland have no doubt transformed under Martin O'Neill and look a different team in 2012, but I don't think this game is as easy as some are pointing it out to be. They are going with 4-5-1 to try and stop the Gunners from playing through the middle, with just Sessegnon up top. Away win @ 2.50 is available with most bookies Both teams to score looking promising too :) GL everyone

  3. Re: Bundesliga, 17/19 Feb

Kaiserslautern v Borussia M'Gladbach Marko Reuss is a slight doubt; which I'm sure has impacted on the match odds. I am doing this write up now, but I'm most likely to check the pre match line-ups before placing my bets. :) This M'gladbach team are the surprise package of the current Bundesliga season. They have been in really good form recently, recording 4 wins & 1 draw in the last 5 league games. Its worth mentioning that amongst those past 5 opponents they defeated Bayern Munchen, Stuttgart & Schalke.. They're defence is quite solid away from home K'lautern have taken just 3 points out of possible 15 in the past 5 Bundesliga games and are currently in the play-off relegation spot. Away win @ 2.30 is available with most bookies.
Came through as expected, nice 2:1 away win :) @McNasara - good info provided on Dortmund, they just about managed the 3 points they needed; keep it up mate..

  5. Re: UEFA Europa League > Tues 14 & Thurs 16 February

:( Man Utd @ 1.92 pinnacle Man Utd -1.5 @ 3.35 bet365 Since resuming from their winter break, Ajax have just one win in their 5 games in all competitions as their defence in particluar has let them down. They have conceded at least two goals in 4 of these 5 games, which does not bode well for them as Man Utd come to town, who have scored at least two goals in 11 of their last 12 games in all competitions. With Rooney and the zippy Wellbeck up front, with plenty of supply down the flanks from Valencia and Nani, doubt that Ajax is strong to withstand them here, and though Man Utd are light at the back, they do have some good young players to fill these gaps. Like Man Utd to win this one well Man City @ 2.89 pinnacle While Porto have been doing well this season, doubt that this squad is as good as last year's sqaud as they do have some players missing. City look pretty strong here as they have pretty much their full team for this tie, and with no games on the weekend, they can play their best eleven here. Defensively they are hard to beat, while the likes of Aguero, Silva and Dxeko have been in good touch this season, and with the Toure brothers back, they look even better. Like them to get an away win here to make it easier for them in the second leg Valencia @ 2.44 pinnacle Stoke tend to play well at home, but this season they have been found out at times, and have lost their last two EPL home games to Sunderland and West Brom, and have scored just twice in their last 5 EPL games. Though they topped their group in the previous phase, they face a very experienced European opponent who continue to do well even when they lose players year after year. They are coming off a very good 4-0 win over Sporting Gijon, and expect them to keep possession quite easily here against Stoke. Stoke are not as good as they were last year and going there on a cold midweek night is not as daunting as it used to be
Have to give credit where its due.. Fantastic picks here blackcrow, keep it up mate! Took United shortly before kick off having seen the line-up Hope everyone had a decent night :ok
  6. Re: UEFA Champions League > Wednesday 15 February Zenit St. Petersburg vs Benfica There is absoultely no doubt in my mind that Benfica are going to qualify for the next round here. Malafeev & Danny are both injured, which is a massive loss to the squad, in my opinion are the 2 most influential players in this team. I thought Spalletti did very well with his team to get them through the group stage and I rate him highly as a manager, but some already mentioned that Zenit hasn't played a competitive match since the draw at Porto on 6/12/11. Benfica are on fire domestically, and undefeated away in the CL this season. They beat Basel & Galati away and drew 2:2 with Man United in group C. This side has goals in them and I'm sure they will look to gain an advantage in the first leg. Benfica 2.90 at paddypower.com

  7. Re: UEFA Europa League > Tues 14 & Thurs 16 February Don't want to act like a wise guy, but I have to agree with fidders here. Looking at those fixtures, there is literally NO obvious winners in any of those games. Its difficult to know how many of the above 'top' teams are going to prioritise winning this competition. Both City & United are chasing the EPL title, the Italian clubs are both aiming to finish in the top 4 and even have a chance to challenge for the Scudetto. My favourites to go on a run here are Stoke City and Hannover 96.. Both have decent underrated squads and are pretty much guaranteed a mid table finish in their domestic leagues. Good luck to everyone with their picks, I would advise looking at the pre-match lineups before placing any serious bets :)

  8. Re: England > Boxing Day > Barclays Premier League > 26-27 December Bolton v Newcastle OVER 2.5 @ 1.75 Feeling pretty confident that this match has goals in it. Watched Newcastle's home defeat to WBA and I thought it could have easily been a home win, trully entertaining stuff from both teams.. Pardrew likes his team scoring goals and they have done so in each of their last 5 away games. 4/5 of them were overs The home side recorded a very important away win at hopeless Blackburn. I thought Coyle got his tactics spot on, applying pressure early on and then shut up shop. The thing is, I really don't rate Bolton's defence. Two average clowns playing fullbacks, and Gary Cahill who must be dreaming of playing CL football with Chelsea in the near future. Bolton needs to add to their 12 points so far in the league, Newcastle have gone 6 without winning. WBA v MAN CITY OVER 2.5 @ 1.55 Its worth mentioning that West Brom scored in each of their last 6 PL games. Last round they got a nice 3:2 away win at Newcastle, playing some nice attacking football.. I can see them scoring a set piece of some sort against City today. Long & Odemwingie are decent forwards too. As for City, no team has been able to prevent them from scoring, domestically. They have plently of talent on show, and goals always come from somewhere.. If they are to win the league, this should be a win, against a mid table side at most. I'm going to consistently post my predictions, and keep track of my record from today onwards. Normally when i post my picks, i jinx my bets so today is hopefully a new start :)

  9. Re: Italy - Serie A - 10-12 December NOVARA v NAPOLI away win @ 1.83 paddypower After last weeks defeat to Lazio, Novara coach admited they took a wrong approach to the game, trying to defend and keep it tight for 90 minutes. He promised to attack against 'big teams' and have a go at Napoli tonight. In my opinion this can only suit the visitors who themselves play attacking football. Napoli are undefeated in they're last 5 games (W,D,D,W,W) scoring 12 goals and conceding 7. They beat Lecce 4-2 at home last weekend, and then secured CL knock-out stage with a tidy 0:2 win over Villarreal.. Given they're ambition to play in europe and challenge for the Scudetto this year, this should be a game where they take all 3 points. They are currently 10 points behind Udinese who went top today with a win over Chievo. With no fresh injuries, and with the week they've had i expect Napoli to take all 3 points here tonight ;)

  10. Re: Italy - Serie A - 10-12 December

Just quickly; Bologna vs Milan - over 2.5 goals 1.91 at William Hill (2 units) Have already touched on this game in a previous post and as team news is as expected, i'll have a go with this bet. Milan are the top scorers in this league and have looked strong in attack over the last month or so. The team should be looking for a convincing win here after the mistakes in the CL in midweek led to public criticism from the manager, on top of that the strikers should be looking to the news that Tevez may be very close to joining as motivation to get even more goals, and I think Pato may be a real threat today. The only concern I have for Milan in midfield where I feel that without the hard working Nocerino they may be a bit defensivly light, with only really Van Bommell who could be classed as a defensive midfielder. Arguably Bologna's best players in Ramirez, Diamanti and perhaps Kone all operate in the middle of the park and I think they may find a bit of space to exploit and hopefully for this bet they can put the ball in the net once or twice. :hope
great write up on this mate, i took this in a double with udinese home win keep it up :ok
  11. Re: International Friendlies > Weekend > Thursday 27th May - Sunday 30th May betting on a treble today.. :hope i dont think any reasoning is needed as i expect these 3 to do a job regardless of whos in the starting 11.. bosnia being the one to represent "value" i think they got too much quality 4 the ibra-less sweden combined odds of 8.67 bosnia 10/3 germany 1/2 serbia 1/3 odds with ladbrokes, GL

  12. Re: UEFA Europa League 8th of April LIVERPOOL - BENFICA over 2.5 @ 8/11 (Ladbrokes) The Reds have to do without Babel, Insua, Rodriguez and Skrtel.. With Fernando Torres "rested" at the weekend and so much controversy surrounding the future of Benitez, this is a must win game for Liverpool. Playing at Anfield, a must win for Liverpool if they are to salvage anything from this season. Benfica are without Saviola and Weldon. A side certainly capable of scoring goals, and they won't come to defend a 1 goal advantage, thats for certain. Both teams have scored in they're last 6 games. With so much at stake, and both teams on the verge of the semis, I can see it being an open game with plenty of excitement. There will be no time for too much tactical approach and over 2.5 is a certainty! :D Also going with OVR 2.5 in all four of tonights fixtures. £20 to win £133 i consider an alright bet, GL!

  13. Re: UEFA Europa League 8th of April WOLFSBURG - FULHAM Fulham without Dempsey, Elm and Okaka.. Zamora and Gera starting up front. They're poor away record, they have not won in their last eight games on the road in all competitions, just 2 wins away all season! Wolfsburg won six of their last seven league games, and need only a 1:0 win to qualify.. Josue and Madlung are back in the side. Though statistics show this could be a tactical, low scoring game I still have a feeling we might see a few goals. Your thoughts gents.. :)
