  1. Re: Champions League > 6th & 7th August

Zulte - PSV First match 2-0 for PSV this easily could be 5-0 or 6-0, PSV created chance after chance and Zulte didn't have any shot on target. The match will be played in the Anderlecht stadium, so not a real home advantage for the Zulte team. PSV will be play with the same starting line up as the first match, this team is young unexperienced but there is big talent. This weekend they played against ADO first halve the lead 1-3 and second halve it feels like the already were looking at this match the game ended 2-3 for PSV. Zulte also won 1-0 against Kortrijk but played a terrible match and were lucky to win. At Zulte there is an intern struggle with the players and Hazard to be named new captain replacing de Fauw. Hazard is another season on loan from chelsea but chelsea demanded him as captain, but the rest of team still feels like de Fauw is the real captain. Of course Zulte wants an early goal, but PSV has great speed in the counter attack and a goal of PSV will end the match. Zulte then will try even harder, resulting in a big field which is great for the PSV attack. Zulte - PSV 2 odds 1.75 10/10 betfair Zulte - PSV PSV -1 odds 2.85 4/10 unibet
Spot on with analysis, was leaning towards PSV but this post definitely made up my mind.. This young squad is packed with talent and create so much on the counter!
  2. Re: WC > Europe Qualifiers > 7 - 11 June

Can't believe no one mentioned the Finland game, IMO huge value on home win @2.40 with most bookies. Only 1 narrow loss thus far vs France and 2 decent draws vs Georgia & Spain. I reckon they will beat Belarus tonight and fancy Pukki to score anytime also. Late write up but it might help some GL
    1:0 FT bet won.
  3. Re: Champions League Final > Bayern Munich v Borussia Dortmund > 25th May Every time a big finals upon us, I write up a little post on here and get it right.. (beertalk) I can see Bayern winning here, especially after missing out at the Alianz last season, they are just more hungry and got more winners in the side. I was going to do a big write up on stats etc, but everyone else has already done that, so straight to the point here then.. Thomas Muller is going to become only the third player in history to score in 2 CL finals (Eto'o & Raul) are the others. Bayern to win, O2.5, BTTS, Thomas Muller anytime scorer. Make your pick GL

  4. Re: Arsenal v Wigan Athletic > Tue 14th May I can see us conceding against Wigan here. Both have so much to play for, neither can defend. O2.5 looks very likely. I would go with Arteta anytime scorer though, as I can see Wigan bringing Theo or doing something stupid as they normally do and Arteta should convert. He also takes the odd free kick. Will do a proper write up on the match day, but there has to be goals in this one guys

  5. Re: Npower Football League Championship > Playoff Semi 2nd Leg > 12th / 13th May I called it 1:0 game for the Foxes last time round, knowing Watford wanted a cagey game, and then playing like they can, at home when Deeney gets back. I also said Leicester have a better first team and no offense to the Watford fans but it pointless for you lot to go up, when more than half the first team are loanees, i fear you might slide straight back down next season, no matter who you sign in the summer. Thats just my point of view and I have a actually really enjoyed watching Watford this season. For me this looks like a BTTS game, and I expect Leicester to progress overall. Back BTTS & O2.5 goals GL

  6. Re: Npower Football League Championship > Playoff Semi 1st Leg > 9th / 10th May Not sure about this one tonight, but I fancy Leicester to take advantage at home. No doubt that Deeney is a big miss in terms of how Watford go on about business away from home. He is that hold-up player who brings Vydra, Anya and the rest into play when they hit teams on the counter. Zola will want to keep it tight as he knows there really is not much between the sides. I actually think that Leicester have a better team. They will no doubt want to take the advantage at home and I can see them winning this one. What type of game we see all depends on Watford, if they choose to make it a tight slow-tempo affair then 1:0 to Leicester would not surprise me.. Anyways I hope for goals and drama but Leicester should edge this. GL

  7. Re: WC > Europe Qualifiers > March 26

Just a quick write up on the two match-ups that interest me tonight. Ireland v Austria This game is a must win for us here tonight. Having achieved what Trapp set out the boys to do in Sweden last week, it will all count for nothing if we don't get the three points tonight.. Austria are a decent quality side and have plenty of talent across the pitch.. Their midfield is superior to ours with the likes of Ivanschitz, Alaba, Junuzovic, Arnautovic all of which play in the Bundesliga creating for Hosiner and Weimann who are both in deadly form currently. If we are to win, we will probably have to score at least twice as I can see the visitors scoring. Sammon and Long are by no means clinical strikers but they work hard and can create chances. McCarhty is a creative spark and could play a big role if we do manage to get a result. Our defence ain't exactly perfect and Forde is a good keeper but still only Championship standard. My bet here is OVER 2.5 which is currently at 2.30 PP Wales v Croatia Croatia come to the Liberty on a high having beating the rivals Serbia 2:0 in the previous game and are along with Belgium favourites to progress. As I am originally from Croatia I watch all of the international games and follow the players.. I am fairly confident that we can get a result against the Welsh even though they have one of the most talented players in Europe currently. I expect the Whelsh to go all out and try win as this is their chance to grab points and beat us to the second spot in the group. Wales posses a failry average defence bar Williams (Swansea) and know that they can beat us only by outscoring us here tonight, so again OVER 2.5 seems like the most likely bet to me. 2.10 @ PP I hope that Stimac doesn't settle for a point away here becaouse it could be a risky one given the importance of the game to the hosts. So those are my thought on "my two nations" I could keep writing about both matches but I reckon that there should be goals in both games and odds are quite tasty..
Both bets won. Almost exactly as I expected scorewise in both also. Gutted we conceded in the 93rd min but the clown didn't see the obvious and failed to throw on Hoolahan so we can try keep possesion. Quality strike from Alaba though.. As far as Croatia, job done but poor performance from Vatreni.. Eduardo still got it :nana

  9. Re: Ligue 1 > 1st - 3rd February

Home side "To-lose" Toulouse without Riviere, who moved to Monaco, he was one of the key players.. Sissoko also left last week moving to Newcastle. Zebina should be out of this one through injury. I can see PSG scoring at least 2 against the fluid 433 that the home side employ Someone wrote how PSG have been poor, but isn't what champions do? Play badly but grind out wins? Away win here in my eyes With a few new faces and the driving seat in the title race, I simply can't see PSG not taking ALL the points here I'm going with PSG to score 2 or more which should be priced around evens with most bookies
    Too easy..

  11. Re: Swansea City v Liverpool > Sunday 25th November

These two met in the league cup only recently where Swansea beat them 3:1 at Anfield.. Having already gotten the better of them I can't see why Swansea wouldn't score here, as they have done 5/6 times at the Liberty Stadium this season. Swans also beat them 1:0 last season in this fixture. As for Liverpool most of you have already pointed out that they are starting to look more and more like a team everyone would expect them to be. If Suarez is in the mood then we can't really argue about the outcome of this match, he is a real handfull.. BTTS should come in easily, although there is more value in backing OVER 2.5 goals @1.75 currently with PP :hope
What a joke of a game, there are Blue Square players better than that current Liverpool team. Suarez and Sterling are the only decent players there, the rest are brain dead, the manager is amongst the worst in the league Team and its fans living in the past. They slowed the game down thinking they are fricken Barcelona, with players such as Henderson what was i thinking getting involved in a Liverpool game..

  13. Re: Southampton v Newcastle United > Sunday 25th November I like the reasoning most of you have already posted.. - Saints on the back of the first PL win which was IMO been a long time coming - A underperforming Newcastle side who have despite not winning scored in 4/5 away PL games this season Can see both teams scoring which is my main bet on this one, Southampton look like winning this one :)

  14. Re: Serie A > 17th November - 19th November

You simply cant play against 12 opponents. 2nd game in a row where the ref decides the outcome. Penalty' date=' my arse !!![/quote'] I'm leaning more and more towards cards in my picks these days, instead of footballers, the refs want and are getting all the media attention.. Its becoming a joke, might look into this more for the CL games as at current rate it seems the only one way of consistently making money, as refs are consistently in the spotlight :unsure
  15. Re: West Ham v Stoke City > Monday 19th November

Tough game tonight.. :p Most have pointed out what is already obvious, Yes they do play the same style but West Ham should edge it, yes Stoke are poor away and struggle to score but I reckon there are better bets available on this one.. Stoke have only 1 clean sheet this season, at Anfield where they frustrated misfiring Liverpool and picked up quite a few bookings in that game, I think it was an obvious plan by Pulis to come away with a point there. If they are to get anything from this game they HAVE to score.. For me they are u underachieving at the minute, they have a better squad each year since the promotion to the EPL. I reckon BTTS 1.90 with PP is a good shout here Also given the disciplinary record, West Ham H 1.3 yellow cards/ per home game, Stoke 3.4 yellow cards, per away game, betting on cards could be an alternative bet.. Both Collins & Tomkins 4 yellows each are expected to start for the home side, N'zonzi, Adam, Whelan etc all get some tackles in for Stoke. OVER 30 booking points is priced @ 2.10 PP which is good enough for me Stoke OVER 10 booking points @ 1.70 PP
Knew Stoke would score tonight, so as expected BTTS came in.. As for cards, looking back at Chris Foy's record, he was never going to show more than 3 cards.. He is a lenient guy :( Made an overall loss on this game but lesson learned for the future.. Well done to unders backers!
  16. Re: Serie A > 17th November - 19th November

Roma have a few defensive absences in this one, DDR, Stek, Burdisso out, the back 4 are inexperienced.. I can see them obviously relying on attack and outscoring Torino tonight, anything but a win would be unacceptable.. When that sort of pressure is on the team they can bottle it at times. Torino with 5 draws (mostly score draws) and a win on their travels thus far this season, in a 4-2-4 formation against an attacking ZZ-style roma, it points towards a goal-fest. I reckon it could end something like 3-1 or 4-2 Roma but it is prob safer to bet on goals than on handicap win. Providing that Torino manage to net against an even weaker than usual weak Roma defense; OVER 3.5 goals 2.15 PP
Roma missed a ton of chances tonight, they done the job but could and should have scored more.. I also thought Torino were better than they shown, I am puzzled as to how they held Lazio & Napoli away, scoring against both. Bet lost but I just couldn't back Roma at the current way they defend, Torino just bottled it, any half decent side would have scored against this Roma tonight. :cry
