    Football Bets

    Evening guys, 

    I’m just wondering what permutations people find work for them when betting on football. I used to do win accumulator’s but have changed this past week. I am now doing a 6 game 4/5/6 fold permutation on draws only as that is where the odds are in the punters favour. 

    I would be open to anyone’s suggestions on what works for them.

    Sarpsborg 08 vs Bodo Glimt

    Just looking at this game and I can’t get my head around why Sarpsborg are favourites for this, they are 2nd bottom in the league, where as Bodo are 2nd. The form of the last 5 games sees Bodo top the table with 12 points from 15 and Sarpsborg bottom with only 2 from 15. 

    If any one can share any light onto why the odds are in favour of Sarpsborg 08. 

    If there is no reason then I can’t see past a Bodo Glimt win at 15/8 on Bet365.

    Berankis vs Jung Vancouver Final

    Berankis semi final finished hours before Jungs, Berenkis also won his semi final comfortably 6-1 6-1. Yung managed to get through his semi on tie breaks in both sets. I think Berenkis is the better player not only in rating but during th whole tournament and can see this being concluded in straight sets.

    Proberly not the right place but what are people’s thoughts on Hawkeye? If it’s not available on all courts then surely it’s an unfair advantage to the bigger named players who play on the main courts.

    I believe if you can’t provide the service to all players then it shouldn’t be used, maybe until the 2nd week as there were lots of complaints today about line calls but nothing could be done.

    VAR is Going to Ruin Football!!!

    Good evening,

    I just want to check peoples views on VAR and the impact it will have on football betting.

    I personally think it is going to ruin football betting, how many matches have been decided by a referee or linesman error in the past. That will not happen any more, they will just let the goal be scored and then go and review it. 

    From a betting perspective this gives the bookies more cover as there won’t be any wrong decisions made, also betting on the unders in goals could prove beneficial as goals won’t be wrongly given. 

    I can see myself not betting on any matches that have VAR running as I have been losing bets lately where VAR has been used and feel that the bookies have an advantage that has not been reflected in the odds.

    I’d like to know peoples thoughts on this.

    Any one have any idea why the rabs are such a huge price in this game? 

    There top of the league, best away record in the league, the eels lost at home to Penrith last week also. The eels have lost 4 of there last 5 matches, granted 3 of those were away from home. The rabs only away lose this year was against manly and that went to extra time.

    I think the bookies have got this one wrong, unless any one can shed any light I’ll be lumping on the rabs.

    Hi guys, just a follow up to this if any one can help. 

    I emailed asking for an update and have today received the response that ‘ Your Dispute has now been returned from the Panel with a ruling.
    Once it has been signed off by the MD it will be posted out to you.’

    Is this promising news or not? Signed off by the M.D, who’s that?  The fact it’s taken nearly 5 months to complete I’m not holding out much hope?

    The reason for the league choices, I have a interest in them, nothing in depth though hence the question but also maybe naive thinking, the bookies focus on the upper league maybe can find more better priced winners there.

    After weeks of trying to juggle betting on many different leagues, I’m going to concentrate on 2 leagues for a while and see how I fair. 

    The leagues I will be focusing on are the Northern Premier League And Southern Premier League. 

    Are there any websites that people find handy for these leagues as I would be grateful.

    Non Mover In The Betting

    Evening,

    It might just be coincidence but when a dog doesn’t move in the betting it tends to win. Like I said it could just be coincidence in the races ive watched it tends to happen.

    Is the reasoning for no movement in the betting that there is a steady flow of money on it, not enough to cause them to shorten or vice versa. Or is it due to the fact that the bookies see that the dog is a good thing and don’t want to increase the odds?

    Evening everyone, 

    I’m just after some advice really, I’m an avid sports fan, football,rugby,golf,basketball,American football,tennis. 

    I gamble on all these sports but it’s a rollercoaster gambling in various sports, as I’d win on say a football match then lose on a basketball match. I’d like to say football and rugby are my ‘main’ sports and I have the most ‘knowledge’ of. 

    Should I just concentrate on these sports when gambling as that is where my knowledge is better? Or carry on spreading over the variety of sports?

    I think there’s value to be had with Scotland and France this year. England are rightful favourites but don’t instill confidence in me against some more settled sides in the tournament.

    Hi Guys I'm also liking Manchester City -1 currently at 11/10 on bet365. For me west ham have got more important matters to worry about being staying in the premiership. This game is a forgone conclusion and I feel a weakened Manchester City team in 3rd may still prove to strong for the hammers. I feel Manchester City will put out a weakened line up with them playing Watford on Saturday and surly they will want to challenge for as much silverware as possible should they not challenge for the league. A quick look and I've found this: City's XI for West this: Costel Pantilimon, Gael Clichy, Joleon Lescott, Matija Nastasic, Micah Richards, James Milner, Jack Rodwell, Javi Garcia, Jesus Navas, Edin Dzeko and Stevan Jovetic.     Hi, Not sure if i'm posting this is the right place, Right when doing lucky 15/31/63 on any sports events what prices would be advised to place as when doing favorites it isn't very profitable is only 2/3/4 win where as if i was just to stake it on a straight accumulator it would return a great deal more. conceded in all of these games they have gone on to win. Swansea are in a bit of a slump at the Liberty Stadium at the moment and haven't won since beating Newcastle 3-0 at the beginning of December. Also if we look at the injury list (below) we can see a number of Spurs players are expected back and Swansea still have some important 1st team players out injured, i think that this could be a massive factor in the way this game will swing. My suggestion is get Tottenham as soon as you can as the price will fall, I've managed to get 11/8 although i know it was at 6/4.     Re: Sky Bet Championship - September 21st & 22nd Derby vs Reading I think the 5/2 on Reading (bet365) is a huge price. I believe Adkins has started to get the playing style into his players now and they are trying to play football on the deck which is sometimes tricky in this league. They grinded out a 1-0 win against Leeds although the standard was more it mus give them confidence going into this game. Readings away form reads 1-1-1 with the win coming in there last away outing against Yeovil. Karacan got injured in the Leeds game and is likely to be replaced by Akpan. Baird has signed today aswell but probably just a place on the bench for him. Derby on the other hand seem to find playing at pride park alot harder then on the road with there stats reading 0-1-2 with a goal difference on 1-5 so there seems to be a lack of confidence at home. They are also missing there 2 best midfield players and contributors to the side in Will Hughes likely to miss the game with a groin strain picked up the other night against Bolton and Jeff Hendrick still out for a while. I can see Reading grinding out a 0-1 away win. But small/medium stake on the away win at 5/2 (bet365)

    Re: One team strategy Hi mtom and stho10978, I'm also going to go for the one team strategy but at a different angle. The amount of times i've been left frustrated with the usual '1 team letting me down' in an accumulator last season has lead me to decide to change my strategy for the coming season. I have now decided that i am going to increase my stakes and select just 1 team to bet on. First few weeks going to bet 2 points until i've got a good understanding of how teams play and how home and away form effects teams. And then i will be betting 4 points. With whatever profit i make i will place into a separate account and keep my stake for the next bet. I understand that some weeks there may be a freak result that means i will lose my stake but over the course of the season im hopeful of returning a healthy profit. Let me know your thoughts on this.
