  1. Re: X-Factor

They have been picked already mate. The bookies will already know the final 12' date=' sneaky bassas.[/quote'] Well I will just have to get back onto corals about that bet I placed an hour ago, that was already beat before I placed it ( kidding ) its a pity I didnt wait a little bit longer before placing that bet, as you answered my question about 10 mins after I placed it, to be fair it was a silly bet anyway just the odds attracted me. If that rapping stick insect is 4/1 that girl should never be 80/1
  2. Re: X-Factor Well think I have just donated a £10, was hoping half went through thinking that was 4 with the Tv coverage the main 3 have had cher rebecca and gamu just thought I would try someone who was well overpriced even though hardly anyone has seen her Keri Arrindill 80/1 with coral, but think she would need a hairdresser first before she would get through, but you never know unless they have been picked already. Looks like Rebecca will be carrying my money till the finish managed to get 10/1 so happy enough with that. Cheers for the reply

  3. Re: X-Factor Can someone tell me how many get through from each group, I would have to agree with league 1 punter that cher will get through with the comments made by cheryl earlier in the competition even though I think she should struggle. Rebecca will get through so not sure if its 1 more girl or two, the reason for this is Im thinking of taking a chance with another girl, but if their is only one spot left then its not worth the risk.

  4. Re: X-Factor What you have to take into account with some singers, some will shine at the start with picking the correct songs like Matt Curdle who looks to be a potential top 5, then you have the ones who grow through the competition. For me Rebecca Ferguson has sung two songs Ive never heard before, seems to lack confidence, yet this girl can only get stronger each week. Originally Cher was way to short a price for this competition, think it was more to do with the shock factor of her first audition.

  5. Re: X-Factor

Yep I watch it, the shame :$. Doubt theres many others on here that do but thought I would get a thread going as theres some good value betting to be had throughout the weeks. Had a couple of bets so far. 1st bet is on Cher Lloyd (7/2 Ladbrokes). Something totally different in her audition. Cheryl Cole thought she was great and im sure will support her throughout which will get the public on her side as it seems what Cheryl says goes. To get an understanding of how popular she was after her audition I had a look on youtube and facebook. Two videos on youtube that have both had over 4 millions views which is a hell of a lot more than any of the other auditions. Also has numerous pages on facebook with a few hundred thousands following. Apparently the second favourite Liam Payne has been put into a group called New Direction and I think there odds may drop but im hoping the group idea doesnt quite work. 2nd bet is on Rebecca Ferguson (12/1 Bodog). Got a bit of criticism for not being confident enough but she is very similar to Alexandra Burke and Leona Lewis who have won this before so I think she will be popular. Had a good voice and think she will get better with each week. Her audition was only at the weekend so its quite hard to gauge how popular she was but I think she can do well. P.S. :$
Looks like you have a sound bet here, cannot see any other winner over your 2nd bet looks to have that bit extra
  6. Re: Tennis - US Open Can I just say lads Ive been looking in this Tennis forum for a good few months now and have to say there are quite a few in here who make this tennis page very enjoyable, for the novices in here like myself......... I dont normally watch or bet on tennis, but this has changed over the last few months due to the Tennis sharks who swim about these pages. Cheers again lads

  7. Re: Tennis - US Open

Azarenka collapsed due to heat' date=' Dulko won by retirement before the first set was finished. Betting consequences depend on your bookie rules.[/quote'] Thanks for that, just seen a clip on sky sports about it. You really dont take these things into account what some of these players need to endure.
  8. Re: Tennis > 10-16 May I tend to just watch wimbledon and have to admit for Ferrer to be playing for quite awhile its strange I have not seen him playing before. Watching the match last night my first impression was where the fcuk did this boy come from, and my initial reaction was to have a punt on him tonight whoever he was playing. Federer seems to have been playing at this high level for centuries now, I just think Federer is a different animal on grass, on other surfaces others tend to get nearer his undoubted class, he can make the game of tennis look incredibly easy and remind you never to back against sheer class even though he is getting older and won everything that has to be won in this game. As I wont get a chance to see Federer play on this surface before this match, I am going to stick with my original thought after watching the match last night. Ferrer playing in front of his home crowd and the fact of the 10-0 head to head should only inspire him to pull out another major effort against the greatest player to grace the tennis courts. Could be a very rash decision by myself, but I feel he played really well last night and will take the 7/4 giving that the surface may play more into his hands. Can I ask if Ferrer has ever went far at wimbledon before or is he mainly a clay court player more.

  9. Re: Tennis > 10-16 May I will need to get a few opinions from the posters who have been watching the tennis, before I maybe jump in to quickly. As I stated above my intention was to put a few bob on Ferrer against Federer after watching him against Murray, I understand Federer is a step up from Murray but did feel Ferrer played a really solid game last night and was worth taking a chance on at 7/4. The price on Federer has shortened from 1/2 to 2/5 in some places, so Im assuming Federer must be playing very well on the clay for him to shorten in a few hours and the fact that Ferrer I thought played exceptional last night.

  10. Re: Tennis > 10-16 May Yes I was watching Murray, I only started watching after the first set. When ferrer was two games up in the 2nd set I just put a tenner on Murray at 10/1 as I assumed with not seeing this boy before Murray would break back and get there. Murray definately put in the effort and was playing well enough, but Ferrer just would not give up on any shot and was not making silly mistakes to let Murray back in. I have just checked the betting on this, Federer is 2nd fav with Ferrer 10/1 so obviously he will be the outsider of the two in the semi. After watching him tonight I will be backing him, even though Federer is the best tennis player ever. This surface may suit Ferrer more than Federer I dont know as I havent been watching earlier matches, but what I seen of the boy tonight he will get my money in the semi being the outsider.

  11. Re: Tennis > 10-16 May have to disagree, thought Murray played well. I have not watched tennis for a while and have never seen Ferrer before in action, but what I will say after watching this match is I will be backing him against federer if he is the outsider of the two. His desire to win this match against Murray and the effort on every point was amazing. These boys are super fit, will need to have a look at Nadal to see if he is back to his old self.

  12. Re: UEFA Champions League > 27th - 28th April Have to say I originally thought bayern would win this tie and put a few bob on them first leg. After watching the first leg the impression I got was Lyon played poorly and could only play better than the first leg. How wrong was that, think that has to be the poorest performance I have seen from any club for a long time. Nothing like the Lyon teams we have seen in the past. Just clueless from the off, no shape, couldnt pass, just a very very poor show, nerves whatever, but that was not a Lyon team. Well done to all the winners.

  13. Re: UEFA Champions League > 27th - 28th April

:unsure not sure myself. The way I look at is. Ask the question. Are munich likely to score in the match? The answer is surely yes. Then the next question. Are Lyon likely to score 3 or more goals? The answer is surely No.
The same questions and answers would have applied to real madrid and you can add is real madrid more of a threat than bayern the answer surely yes. score 1-0. bayern have a few out Lyon I believe under performed in germany. We will see tonight
  14. Re: UEFA Champions League > 27th - 28th April

Of course this is a good price. But I wonder if 5.50 (Paddy Power) for Lyon's handicap win is a better deal here. I mean' date=' only 1-0 is an escaping score to the second bet and 1-0 doesn't even guarantee a qualification really. Maybe at a 60% better price we get ourselves a better deal here for almost the same scenario... ;)[/quote'] I get what you are putting out here, but I feel Lyon are a team who would comfortable be with this scoreline, secondly if I was going for a correct score on this match 1-0 would be my first choice, also I believe Lyon are better than what was seen first leg and with home advantage and bayern a few out, Im hoping they can win by at least 2. So Im comfortable with my Lyon to qualify.
  15. Re: Denmark SAS Ligaen 24-26 April

i will back randers tonight they have a great chance to win this game and at this time of year when games are running out you have to go for the motivated team who plays against a weakened team who has a cup game on thursday for a chance to make the final-if randers wants to stay in the league then tonight is the night
Good call last night, wasnt many matches on that I know much about the teams, so had a look through all the different leagues for something that caught my attention. Spotted yours earlier and marked it down for a punt later, unfortunately forgot the kick off time. Logged on and they were already 1 up, next time need to pay more attention.
  16. Re: UEFA Champions League > 27th - 28th April We can all possibly see Barcelona having lots of the ball here, and the fact they are very comfortable on the ball, technically 1st class, quick thinking and very tricky in and around the box and will be pressing for goals from the off. I am going to have a go at Barcelona to score a penalty 4/1 just for an interest in this match. I only hope the ref is on the ball with any dubious tackles on Messi from the off. We know he is not the only player on the park, but everyone knows if he is on song barcelona are deadly. BARCELONA TO SCORE A PENALTY @ 5 BET 365

  17. Re: UEFA Champions League > 27th - 28th April

I must really be missing something here....:eyes Lyon to qualify @ 3.9 - Betfair. Munich may be without defenders Daniel van Buyten and Martin Demichelis after both picked up knocks at the weekend. Franck Ribbery is suspended. I just feel that this tie is still very much in the balance, with only a slender 1-0 victory for Munich to hold on to. The price for Lyon to qualify is massive imo. Munich have relied heavily on wonder strikes from Robben to keep them in the CL, and are yet to win an away fixture in the knockout stage of this competition. Lyon have won all but one of their home CL fixtures this season. Drawing the other fixture against Liverpool. For a tie, where there is only one goal in it, anything over 2 for one side to qualify at this stage of the competition is a little unfair.
My first thought when this tie was made was munich to get through the tie. After watching the first leg I dont believe Lyon played as well as we know they can, with home advantage and a few bayern players out, the bet also for me is lyon to qualify. LYON TO QUALIFY @ 11/4 LADBROKES
  18. Re: UEFA Champions League 20th / 21st April

Been looking here a while and wanted to get involved. I quite fancy the look of the Bayern -2 corner h/cap on Paddy Power @ 1.90. Bayern have done well on corners in all their Champs League games at home this season, the stats are as follows... Won 8-2 against United Won 9-6 against Fiorentina Won 9-4 against Juve Won 6-3 against Bordeaux Won 8-2 against M Haifa Would expect them to do well with Robben and Ribery on the flanks, think they want a lead to take to France as Lyon are strong at home. I'm hoping this leads to plenty of corners.... Jase82, I've seen you like a punt on the corners. Wondered what your thoughts are? GL everyone!
Im another who has taken the advise -2 corners, you would expect bayern to take an advantage from the first leg and press to hopefully take a good result back to france. Looks a solid call :welcome
  19. Re: Champions League- 6th April Watching the first half at the emirates the play of Barcelona was exceptional, Arsenal were caught in the headlights and looked very mediocre.(which was not a true reflection on Arsenals ability) Tonights match however I can see Barcelona playing comfortable possession football, which may suit Arsenal as they only need to find one goal more the Barcelona, so I cant see the same intensity being played like the first leg from Barcelona, also Im sure they are away to Real Madrid this weekend which in itself a massive match. Arsenal on the other hand I dont think can win the league with the injuries to key personnel. If Barcelona do what they do best and just keep the ball with no silly mistakes, I can see this being a low scoring affair, but on the other hand you have 2 very attack minded teams. So just for an interest in this one. BARCELONA C/S 1-0 @ 9
