Re: Glory Hunt £20 - £1000 using +2.5 goals I shall be reverting back to a £20 stake, accumulating until I hit over £100 profit each time. I think this is a safer and more logical method. I know I'm going against my intial plan of trying to hit 8 consecutive winners but I'm sure you can understand the reasoning. I don't want to destroy all the hard work that's gone into this. PRESTON V IPSWICH (7:45) Over 2.5 goals £17 @ 1.88 1-1 £3 @ 7.2 Total stake = £20 (Both prices taken at Betfair) DC

Re: Glory Hunt £20 - £1000 using +2.5 goals PRESTON v IPSWICH has to be considered. Here's why: Preston last 6 at home: 3-2, 1-1, 3-2, 3-0, 2-1, 3-0 (scored 15 let in 6) Ipswich last 6 away : 2-0, 1-1, 2-1, 1-3, 4-2, 2-2 (scored 12 let in 9) It has to be a qualifier. Looking for a price now.... Danny

Re: Correct Scores Bets 14 and 15 both went down :o Chelsea 0-0 and Arsenal 5-1 (a winner had you just backed the home win) Start Bank 100 points Current Bank 126.1 points Staked 150 points Bets 15 Won 10 Lost 5 SR 66.7% Yield 17.4% Profit +26.1 points Straight home wins return a loss of 4.17 points, so still ahead using this method. Re: Why do you read the systems and strategy pages? Gaza, I'm entiled to agree. I too have always been looking for that amazing system that will provide a secondary income. However, I have yet to stumble across it. However, I am open to other people's systems and ideas and I'm always keen to head for this section in the hope that I will discover, through others, a new idea. Some of the systems in here are great and others, as Mr Onemore states are not worth reading. Personally I like to share my knowledge/system ideas with others knowing that there are others on here who also try their hardest to help me. I'm not on here to prove a point or boost my ego by any means, it's just nice to keep a thread going and see how long the system can survive. Some people may not have the time or software/means to backtest their systems so where the mathmaticians on this board can help, maybe they should speak up and point out to the others where exactly the systems may fail. All the best Danny

Re: Glory Hunt £20 - £1000 using +2.5 goals Oldham 3 Wrexham 5 :loon Gotta be happy about that!! Bank now £156.20 after commission. That's a profit of £136.20 on this run and a total of £267.39 profit since the thread started... Starting to feel more comfortable doing short stints and then reverting back to a £20 bank. Remember there is real money going down on these selections and I am serious about winning the £1000 no matter how long it takes. Danny

Re: Glory Hunt £20 - £1000 using +2.5 goals Well MKD v Huddersfield came in at 2-1 so hopefully you backed it. Tonight's LDV trophy fixture interests me Oldham v Wrexham I'm on +2.5 at 1.72 Betfair NO COVER £92.75 I'm convinced it'll go in. DC

Re: Correct Scores Bet 15 Arsenal v Crystal Palace (1.23) 1-0 21.75% @ 8.00 2-0 24.86% @ 7.00 3-0 21.75% @ 8.00 2-1 15.82% @ 11.00 3-1 15.82% @ 11.00 =1.74 DC

Re: Glory Hunt £20 - £1000 using +2.5 goals If you can find good odds in the MKD v Huddersfield game I'd take it, no cover. However it's too short for me @ 1.66 Betfair Had no time to stat this weekend so I'm not going to rush in with a selection today. DC

Re: Why Exactly Do We Hunt For System,s or Betting Strategy,s? First of all welcome to the board Mister Logical.:D I am always open to new ideas and suggestions, even if I don't entirely agree with raising stakes after a losing bet. However, with your idea, as the minimum odds seeming to be 25-1 you'd only have to start raising after 24 losses. Instead of worrying about providing past statistics to prove a point to others in this section, why not start a paper-trail using this method, i.e without putting down any real money. Then all doubters can see for themselves how well your system may or may not work. You were very unlucky in the Chelsea v Man City game with an injury-time world-class save defying the first goal. However, as you say your 0-0 cover bet would have sufficed. Good luck with this. Danny Cash

Re: Correct Scores Bet 14 Chelsea v Man City The bookies have been quite stingy for this game. We can convert 1.25 into 1.70 so it just qualifies... 1-0 21.29% @ 8.00 Tote 2-0 26.20% @ 6.5 Tote 3-0 21.29% @ 8.00 General 2-1 17.03% @ 10.00 Tote/SOdds/B365 3-1 14.19% @ 12.00 SOdds Cheers Danny ps if anyone is thinking of doing Barcelona tonight I'd take the 1.4 on the straight home win. The best I can do is convert to 1.79 which doesn't seem worth the risk to me.

Re: Glory Hunt £20 - £1000 using +2.5 goals Cheers Brookes, enjoy your beer :beer Wolfsberg v Weder Bremen looks nailed on but the odds are very low - 1.66 on Betfair. You could always have a go at Chelsea v Man City covering 2-0 (best odds with Tote) or even Barcelona v Atletico Madrid again covering 2-0 to the home side. None of these bets are offical picks. Best of luck Danny

Re: Correct Scores Mr Onemore, your suggestion that backing the home team to win outright will recover more profit than the correct score method used is not looking too good at the moment. I think you may have errored somewhere in your calculations... Using the best WIN OUTRIGHT prices available for the 13 bets I have selected so far and betting the same 10 points for each bet: Arsenal v Southampton (LOST) -10.0 Arsenal v WBA (LOST) -10.0 Liverpool v Watford (WON @ 1.29) +2.9 Rangers v Dunf (WON @ 1.11) +1.1 Barcelona v Real Soc (WON @ 1.37) +3.7 Dunf v East fife (WON @ 1.30) +3.0 Exeter v Man Utd (WON @ 1.10) +1.0 Chelsea v Porstsmouth (WON @ 1.22) +2.2 Celtic v Motherwell (WON @ 1.14) +1.4 Real Madrid v Real Mall (WON @ 1.25) +2.5 Arsenal v Wolves (WON @ 1.23) +2.3 Chelsea v Birmingham (WON @ 1.25) +2.5 Man Utd v Birmingham (WON @ 1.30) +3.0 Total profit 5.6 points Yield 4.3% At the moment the correct score method is showing a profit of more than 8 times this amount and a much better yield. Time will tell I guess... DC

Re: Correct Scores Mr Onemore, you're quite right. I was robbing myself of a winner there. Manchester Utd 2 Birmingham 0 A profit of 7.4 points Starting Bank 100points Current Bank 146.1points Staked 130 points Bets 13 Wins 10/ Losers 3 Strike Rate 76.9% Yield 35.5% Profit 46.1 points Chelsea tomorrow...

Re: Glory Hunt £20 - £1000 using +2.5 goals One game that is STAND-OUT this week is Preston v Coventry 3pm I won't bore you with the stats but this is the one game of the entire English leagues I am most confident about. £53 on +2.5 goals @ 1.75 Bet365 £7.90 on 1-1 @ 7.00 Sporting Odds I won't be recovering the full amount should 1-1 come in to gain more profit should the game go over 2.5 as expected. Re: Glory Hunt £20 - £1000 using +2.5 goals Martin, I would look at the last 3 - 5 games rather than the whole season. I think that teams go through 'phases' of scoring/conceeding rather than constantly scoring/conceeding throughout the whole season. Fulham v Villa was NOT a qualifier because Villa had only scored ONE GOAL in their last 5 away matches!! I rely on the home team to bang in 2 and the away team to score 1, and then cover 1-1. The other type of bet is if it's a totally dominent home team such as Chelsea v very weak opposition and covering 2-0. Good luck with your statting mate DC

Re: Glory hunt. 30-1000 laying correct scores HOW LATE DID YOU WANT TO LEAVE IT??!?!?! a 79th minute own goal.... I was getting worried for you Sco!!! DC

Re: Glory Hunt £20 - £1000 using +2.5 goals Birmingham v Southampton Over 2.5 goals £29.00 @ 11/10 Bet365 1-1 £5.40 @ 11/2 Bet365 total stake £34.40 Got a very good vibe about this one, I'm convinced both teams will score tonight, let's hope someone can notch up a couple. Danny

Re: Glory hunt. 30-1000 laying correct scores CJ, don't forget Sco is starting with 30 units rather than 1 unit.

Re: Glory hunt. 30-1000 laying correct scores Good luck mate! You'll need 36-37 successful lays at average odds of 10.00 to make it... Will be watching with interest. DC

Re: Glory Hunt £20 - £1000 using +2.5 goals Cheers Martin, good question! I use last 5 home and last 5 away for each team. A good site for this is Football365 As long as the home team is scoring into double figures for the last 5 homes and the away team is scoring 7 or more it's generally a selection. I also like both teams last 3 games to have been over 2.5 or at least 1-1. That's roughly it mate. Didn't have time to post up anything for tonight but I really fancied the Arsenal v Utd game... easy to say now eh?! I'd better get my arse sorted come the weekend, this thread needs to move on... Re: Glory Hunt £20 - £1000 using +2.5 goals Cheers guys. Shame it finished 1-1. Nevermind. Bank = £20.67 after comm. Today I have a dilemma, 3 games I'm quite happy to back, which do I choose? Walsall v MKD 1.57 Huddersfield v Blackpool 1.72 Hull v Wrexham 1.6 Bet365's prices aren't too hot, so I'm going along the lines of 3 x £6.89 doubles, no cover. Cheers DC
