  1. Re: Lay Acca WFTE - don't make me feel any worse than I already do!! Just out of interest, your selection is TOP rated - why are you taking it on??? I have also now learnt that a low draw at Warwick is useful in sprints - does this mean Smart John in the 5:00 is a good bet to win some of this lot back??!!! DC

  2. Re: Lay Acca You're doing very well mate. I might start to follow your selections myself soon!! As you say, favourites in handicaps don't win a lot. Infact, I put in some research and found that fav's in handicaps and selling handicaps with fields of 10 or more win only 22% of the time. This includes odds-on horses too. If you can find fav's that are badly drawn and don't have their favourite ground you can probably get this down even further (as I'm sure you know mate!) In 2003 there was a losing run of 30 favourites!! :loon Anyway, carry on mate, you're doing great. :clap

  3. Re: Horses to place FLOTTA today in the 2:00 Salisbury I have to hope that Flag Lieutenant doesn't stay and the Topkat isn't race fit for a start! I'm not 100% about this so I'm not rolling everything on incase the worst happens and I end up 60 down. So another 20 run begins at 1.62 Danny

  4. Re: Horses to place

    1st Drawn 2 Aylmer Road (IRE) 3R L Moore 7-4
    9 0P Cole
Mid-division, headway over 3f out, led 2f out, soon clear Opened 15/8, touched 2/1
Well done to Scouse who also picked out Aylmer Road to WIN today. (Wish I'd seen his other selection today too!!) New bank = 68.99 6/8 winners Overall profit = +8.99 Level 1pt stakes = +1.18 Cheers Danny
  5. Re: sandown favs This is madness mate. Favourites don't win as often as you think and they are always low in price so the amount you are chasing builds up RAPIDLY! They will go down 65% of the time. What if that 13/8f had NOT won? Ask yourself. If you must bet on races for fun why not do very small stakes doubles and trebles on fav's?? Spend an amount that won't cost you heavily. Better still, pick out 1,2 or 3 at the most serious bets a day and stick to them. Don't start chasing your losses mate. It won't work. Also put in a bit of research. Ask yourself why this horse is favourite? Has it shown abilty in a previous race, is it over the right distance? Is it drawn well? Has it won the going? What are the main threats to this horse? Is it better taking this low priced jolly on with 2 or more better priced animals? Put in the work and you'll be rewarded. Betting blind is the sure way to ruin your life. Danny

  6. Re: Horses to place Ok, there are two horses that fit my criteria today so I shall do a £20 place double and attempt to rescue some of what I've lost already... Wolverhampton 2:25 Bid For Fame (1.35) Wolverhampton 3:30 Rancho Cucamonga (1.46) Fingers crossed.
