  1. Re: USA MLS July 9th-12th 2010 Philadelphia Union vs. San Jose Earthquakes The great thing about the MLS is that the Americans are stat crazy. It's not usually that difficult to find some nugget of info that you can use to convince yourself that your pick is sound. Anyway I think the Union are in with a decent chance of victory tonight - 11 points from 12 games might suggest otherwise, but they've been on the road more often than the Littlest Hobo recently, only three of the twelve games have been at their home ground where they haven't lost (2W 1D). San Jose meanwhile seem to be on a bit of down slope. After a great start to the season they seem to have hit the buffers and haven't won in five. Team news that I've managed to find is that Nakazawa is out for the Union and Andre Luiz and Beitashour are missing for San Jose. None of the three seem to have had much game time recently though, so it's debatable whether any of them will be missed. One guy to maybe watch out for though is Roger Torres, don't think he will be starting but was quite impressed with him when I saw him earlier in the season. Anyway backing Philadelphia at 2.24

  2. Re: Russian Premier League July 8th-10th 2010 CSKA Moskva vs. Saturn First bet in a while for me, so apologies if my pick is a bit rusty. Obviously CSKA are the big favourites for this match, but for several reasons the odds on a home win don't appeal to me - it's the first league game for nearly two months so both teams could be a bit rusty (just like my picks), the CSKA players who were involved in the WC have only just returned to training with their team mates (couldn't find out unfortunately if they're actually going to be playing, on the bench, or completely rested) and the stats seem to suggest that Saturn aren't that bad defensively (11 goals conceded in 11 games). Maybe someone with a more rounded knowledge of Russian football can fill us in with exact team news and their thoughts on the match. So for those reasons I'm going with small stakes Under 2.5 at 2.12

(for future reference - you get these by clicking on OddsChecker at the top of the page, then clicking Odds Comparison, select football on the lefthand menu, pick the relevant country and then copy and paste) Don't know any team news, but you could always try the clubs websites.
  4. Re: Turkey 11-13 December

Bucaspor - CaykurRizespor Bucaspor already showed that they have enough potential for promotion to the super league, they are playing at home dominating, and also they are doing well at away matches too, They beat big clubs in first division like altay, kartalspor at Home . I think CaykurRizespor is a way out of Bucaspor standarts, Home win with High confidence Home Win 2.10 @Hititbet
Not got much time but I've also put a little money on this. Just a stats based pick as I don't know a good Turkish team news site, but Bucaspor's home form is (6W 1D 0L) whereas Caykur Rizespor after a good start to the season (one loss in ten games) have recently hit the buffers and have lost four of the last five games. Just small stakes - Bucaspor at 2.00
  5. Re: Poland Ekstraklasa 11-13 December Piast Gliwice vs. Ruch Chorzów Both teams are in pretty poor form going into this match. Piast Gliwice haven't won in the league since the start of October and Ruch Chorzów despite being in 4th position in the league have only won once in the past five games. The stats about Ruch Chorzów are a bit misleading I feel though, in that run of five games the three defeats they had were at the hands of Wisla, Legia and Lech (1st, 2nd and 3rd in the league) and before this little blip they were on a great run of (8W 1D 2L) with the two defeats coming against Wisla again and Belchatów (currently 5th). So it seems that they have most if not all of their problems against the "top" sides and will hopefully get back to winning ways against a team in 10th position. No team news unfortunately (so be careful) but I'm putting small stakes on Ruch Chorzów at 2.50

  6. Re: Romania Liga 1. 7-8 December Possible teams from www.sptfm.ro Astra Ploiesti: Cr.Munteanu - Mihalache, Rohat, Oprsal, Cornea - Stratila, V. George, Takayuki, Paulinho - Djokic, Paun; Dinamo Bucharest: Dolha - Scarlatache, Tamas, Moti, Pulhac - Zicu, D. Kone, Bostina, Ad.Cristea - Andrei Cristea, M. Niculae; Going from that it looks like Astra are missing/leaving out Craciun and top scorer Ganea. So make of that will you will, my pick was stats based but maybe I would have gone different with this team news.

  7. Re: Romania Liga 1. 7-8 December Astra Ploiesti vs. Dinamo Bucuresti Quite similar to yesterdays game this fixture. Home team towards the bottom of the league but with excellent home form (4W 2D 1L) and the away team much nearer the top of the league and with good away form (4W 1D 2L). However this time I'm going with the underdog, the only real blip on their home form is the loss in the very first game of the season against Pandurii Targu Jiu back in August and since then they've been unbeaten at home including victorys against both Steaua and Rapid (no mugs). No team news unfortunately but going with Astra Ploiesti Double Chance at 2.00

  8. Re: Romania Liga 1. 7-8 December Universitatea Craiova vs. Steaua Bucuresti Not a lot on today betting wise, but i like the look of Steaua here even without team news. Their away form (5W 1D 1L) compares favourably to Universitatea's home form (4W 1D 2L) and if we look closer at the teams that Universitatea have played we can see that all of their victorys have been against teams near the bottom of the league. Admittedly Steaua did lose their last away game to lowly Astra Ploiesti, but they followed this up with a win at home to Vaslui and coupled with the fact they're out of both the Europa League and Romanian Cup I've put small stakes on Steaua at 2.40

  9. Re: Czech Gambrinus 27-30 November

I've gone for overs at 2.00 in this game also. In addition to what Bandog has already said, Sigma will be missing two of their regular defenders - Rossi and Skerle and their coach has confirmed that they will continue with their offensive philosophy. So let's hope for goals. :ok One other bit of info is that the game won't be played at Banik's own ground (no undersoil heating I believe) but at the Vitkovice stadium. Still in the same city, but might have a small difference to the game.
    Close but no cigar. :\

  11. Re: Brazil Serie B. 10-11 Nov Personally I've gone for unders at 1.8 (no doubt better odds are available elsewhere). Unless I'm much mistaken Brasiliense are only 2 points clear of the relegation zone, so to say that they have nothing to play for seems strange (apologies if I'm wrong). You could argue that Sao Caetano being safe in mid-table don't have a lot of motivation, but Zago as befits a defender seemingly has his team playing very solid football and importantly not conceding many. Neither side is in great form, Brasiliense in particular having some really bad results (5-1, 4-0, 2-0 the last three games). Sao Caetano themselves haven't won in four games. In terms of team news Brasiliense seem to have Juninho suspended and injury doubts about Iranildo, whereas I don't think Sao Caetano have any important absences and have several players returning to the side. You have to be brave (or stupid :lol) to back unders in Brazil, but I just can't see there being many goals here. The draw looks a good option as well.

  12. Re: Russian Premier 29-31/8

thank you jawbraker for these sites. but for those who don't understand russian, where i can find injuries and suspentions (can you discrime where to go exactly)
Download Google Toolbar, it has a translate function which will translate Russian to English and many other languages as well. Obviously the translation isn't going to be perfect, sometimes it can be quite funny with the bad english it comes up with. But it will give you the gist of what is being said. Probably other applications will do the same job, just that this is the one I use.
