  1. Re: Tennis - Australian Open Yeah will put small amounts on these just for some interest tonight.......... Ljubicic/Karlovic over 3.5 sets @ 4/9.....can't see either winning in 3. Don't like the overs line really. Should be a topsy turvy match. Nadal/Kohli under 30.5 games @ 5/6....might be tricky for Nadal but he's far superior. Playing quite well too. Kohli picked up last week in Auckland but Nadal will test him. BH not working so well in recent weeks, something Rafa might exploit. Roddick x Safina x Gonzalez x Nadal x Wickmayer @ 7/10...Lopez hasn't been so good, Roddick is too consistent. Safina should beat Baltacha, she's basically a far better version of her. Korolev can cause Gonzo trouble but he's too pwerful I think, might lose a set though. Nadal will beat Kohlschreiber. Errani might be a tricky customer for Wickmayer but Yanina could overpower her. GL!!

  2. Re: Tennis - Australian Open Horrible card tomorrow. Will probably just stick some small amounts for interest in these games..... Ljubicic vs Karlovic...surely more than 3 sets...over 3.5 sets is 4/9 Roddick vs Lopez....under/over 33.5 games.....can't decide in this one. Roddick will win though. Rafa vs Kohlschreiber....under/over 30.5 games....6-4 6-4 6-4 Rafa wins the bet. I think that's a possibility. Maybe one tough set but he'll probably cruise at least one set aswell. Just initial thoughts.

  3. Re: Tennis - Australian Open Already taken Monaco over Llodra. Adding, Granollers over Falla @ 5/6 Even though Soderling looked injured, Granollers played well to come from 2-0 down. Strong in the rallies and will be able to stick with Falla no trouble I think. Falla beat Daniel but he is not a HC player. Maybe a 4 or 5 setter but fancy Granollers to come through. Kubot to beat Giraldo @ 8/11 Reasonable price I think. Surely a better HC player than Giraldo in my view. He's pushed numerous top players like Wawrinka and Cilic in recent months. Also beat Roddick last year. 1/4 final in Doha and a striaght sets win over Zverez indicates some good form. Giraldo smashed Robredo in the first round, big shock. Got alot of fight in him, pretty consistent player. But Kubot is different match-up again. Think he comes through. Barrois/Stosur over 19.5 games @ 4/5 Worth a small punt here. Barrois can be a tricky player but mainly Stosur is not near her best here. Struggled in round one against a young Chinese girl outside the top 100, and has lost numerous matches already this year. Think she comes through but hopefully beats the line here.

  4. Re: Tennis - Australian Open Del Potro is a class act, great fighter. Can't see him going the distance though, that wrist is still causing him problems. But just when you think DP has nothing in the tank, he finds a way to battle on. Just stuck some money on Monaco to beat Llodra, and Granollers to beat Falla. Will talk about reasoning later but am not doing great this week, maybe best thing is for people to go with the opposite....:\

  5. Re: Tennis - Australian Open Will take Troicki as a single. Bit short but really can't see him slipping up here. Troicki to beat Mayer @ 2/5 Mayer is OK, can be a tricky player but Troicki is a class above. Think Mayer is a bit of a choker really, and only here because Petzschner is a bigger one. Troicki is usually reliable against inferior opponents....good form already this year in Doha and Sydney only losing to Baghdatis and Nadal. Beat Lapentti well in the end (in first round here) who is a fighter....good result I think. Surely comes through this.

  6. Re: Tennis - Australian Open Accumulator: Roddick x Gonzalez x Isner x Ljubicic @ 4/5 Roddick faces a tricky match with Bellucci, but don't think Bellucci has enough right now to beat him on hard. Roddick typically does enough in these early rounds...serves well and waits for a chance to break. His ground game has improved. Win expected. Gonzalez should also beat Ilhan. Had a little drop in the middle of the Rochus math dropping a set but will be too powerful for Ilhan here. Sorenson again screws me...:spank...but surely Isner is too strong. Big server has to have too much, he won in Auckland last week. Ljubicic versus Golubev might be closer but still fancy Ljubicic here. Not reading too much into Golubev's win over Fish....Fish was carrying an injury and struggling to serve. Ljubicic is a better HC player and has clear advantage here. Kubot to beat Giraldo Not sure on this one actually....have to think more about it.

  7. Re: Tennis - Australian Open Other interestin matches I'm thinking about: 1. Date-Krumm over Shvedova 2. Kubot over Giraldo 3. Benneteau on handicap vs Karlovic. 4. Maybe some sort of accumulator...Gonzalez,Isner and Roddick should win(dangerous to say after last few days!!) and might add one decent priced match to bring it up....Lopez over Schuettler/Ljubicic over Golubev or Troicki over Mayer.

  8. Re: Tennis - Australian Open Martinez-Sanchez +1.5 games over Zheng @ 10/11 Don't think Zheng should be favourite here. MJMS double bagelled Rodina in round one and has a good game for HC. Good serve, got a different style of play...can slice, drop shot and serve&volley. Zheng is one of the few women I like but don't think she's playing that well right now. Struggling with serve and might have some problems here.

  9. Re: Tennis - Australian Open Monaco to beat Llodra @ 4/6 Dunno when this one will be played, maybe Thursday morning but Monaco is worth a shot here. Llodra came through Vassallo but still doubts about his condition I think. Many poor losses in recent weeks...Cuevas not fully fit, Harel Levy. Not Monaco's best surface but the courts aren't playing that fast and he is solid from the back of the court. Beat a terrible Gulbis in round one in straight sets.....Gulbis was very poor, many errors but Monaco was still solid. Think he takes this one.

  10. Re: Tennis - Australian Open Wouldn't know Paszek's game very well to be honest. Watched parts of her match with Dulko in Hobart and she played well off the ground, serving was weak though(different conditions aswell to be fair). Georges aswell can throw in alot of errors. It's one of those I wouldn't be able to choose between....seems to be a drift on Paszek's price though.

  11. Re: Tennis - Australian Open Smeg what you think of Azarenka vs Cohen-Aloro overs/unders? Bet365 have the line at 16.5 games....overs is anything better than 6-2 6-2. Having doubts cos Azarenka typically bullies opponents early on in slams but she looked tired in Sydney last week.Seems very short line i think but i guess she could bagel her in one of the sets.

  12. Re: Tennis - Australian Open Tough day for many it seems. I lost one of my 6 bets for the opening 2 days....Gonzalez and Pennetta both won but not in straight sets. Accumulator started well with Gonzo and Roddick winning. Benneteau is down 4-0 in opening set though. Not sure what is up there. And Grosjean is down 6-4 4-2 to Ilhan. Need a turn around once play resumes. I think the main thing so far is how the conditions are affecting play.

  13. Re: Tennis - Australian Open Bet 6: Safarova/Venus over 20.5 games @ 10/11 Think Safarova keeps this one tight. She's got a good game, lefty and goes for her shots. Venus leads h2h 3-0...all on clay...safarova had match points at Rolland Garros last year though. I think her game is better for hard courts.Hard to know what shape Venus is in right now, definitely not ideal match for round one. She can be vulnerable here aswell...lost to many weaker opponents in Oz over the years. I think this may go to 3 sets.
