  1. Re: Wimbledon 2012 First mixed day of the Championships today for me, 2/4 coming through and only +1.67pt profit as the two slightly bigger bets won. Got a tad lucky with Roddick coming back to get the unders through but pissed with Del Potro's collapse in the 3rd after winning 2 and 3 in the opening two sets. Really thought that bet was cruising through and would have been satisfied with the day had that one flew in aswell. Johansson justified my faith in her with the +5 hcap, definitely was overpriced against the obnoxious McHale and could have taken that one with a bit more cajones on big points. Erakovic couldnt cover the line vs Vinci, she was competitive but too many struggles on return. Some nice calls again fellas, hoping Lepchenko does the biz for Slider she's a set up and on serve as we speak in the second. Fingers crossed. Have to say wasnt convinced by that one, mainly cos I've actually never seen Lepchenko play on grass........:rollin

  2. Re: Wimbledon 2012 Roddick vs Phau UNDER 32 games AH @ 1.909 (Pinnacle:4pts) I'll probably look to oppose Roddick at some point this week, but he couldnt have asked for a better 2nd round here vs Phau who is pretty bad these days and no real pedigree in slam matches or on the surface. Great draw for him and Odesnik in round one, both got lucky there and were given a big chance, Phau came through but he's gone home today. No real weapons here, nice backhand, but attackable serve whereas Roddick isnt easy to break when he's on form, had a tough one yesterday but Baker fought hard from start to finish in that one.

  3. Re: Wimbledon 2012 Johansson +5 games AH vs McHale @ 2.010 (Pinnacle:4pts) Johansson can play on grass, decent player, and I think it'll be tough for McHale to cover this line today, does look big to me. She struggled mightily against Konta going to 9-7 in the 3rd and she choked there with chances to break at 7-7. McHale is a good player, steady from the baseline, but IMO she's too short today and value on Johansson for me. Erakovic +3.5 games vs Vinci @ 2.00 (Pinnacle:3pts) Vinci is a crafty player, uses plenty of slices, whereas Erakovic has a more powerful game and I think she can be competitive today, actually think she might have a shot taking this one down. She can definitely play on faster surfaces, Vinci will try and get her to self-destruct which can happen but it's a match-up where I think Erakovic can compete hard.

  4. Re: Wimbledon 2012 Istomin/Andreev overs came through anyway. One for tomorrow: Del Potro -7.5 games vs Soeda @ 1.862 (Pinnacle:3pts) Del Potro had some problems with Haase in rd 1, went to 4 sets, but Haase does have a big game and on his day is pretty dangerous and can trouble the best players(as Nadal knows). However Soeda should be more up Del Potro's street, typical Asian guy who is quick around the court but lacks any real weapons and has an attackable serve. Del Potro should be able to dominate this match-up and possibly one set with a blow-out which should give the line a good shot.

  5. Re: Wimbledon 2012 With you on the Istomin overs, Fishy. Andreev vs Istomin OVER 37.5 games @ 1.901 (Pinnacle:4pts) Can see 4 sets minimum here, both guys with big serves that can do some damage on a grasscourt. You never know what you'll get with Andreev but in a match-up like this I expect him to be competitive at least.Istomin got a great win over Seppi, worthy favourite here but does look a tad short to me on the outright. Like the overs in this one.

  6. Re: Wimbledon 2012 Anyone think Lacko will struggle to cover -7.5 games vs Ungur, I know the Romanian has done nothing on grass but he's playing well lately, good from the baseline. Lacko is not exactly reliable. Andujar is another who has done nothing on grass, but can you see Ward covering -5.5 games, the man is average as they come.

  7. Re: Wimbledon 2012 Levine vs Beck OVER 38.5 games @ 5/6 (Bet365:3pts) Looks like 4 or 5 sets here. Levine qualifying well but Beck has some decent pedigree on grass, can certainly play on the surface and I'd expect him to be competitive in this one. De Schepper vs Bachinger TIE BREAK IN THE MATCH: YES @ 8/11 (Bet365:2pts) De Schepper is a servebot, big donkey of a player and will have spells where his serve wont be touched. Bachinger has got a decent serve himself, De Schepper qualified winning 3 matches, can see a couple of close sets in this one.

  8. Re: Wimbledon 2012 Giorgi +1.5 sets vs Pennetta @ 2.120 (Pinnacle:2pts) Basically Giorgi to win a set off her compatriot Pennetta. Pennetta not in good shape these days, has had a wrist injury that hasnt fully healed, got battered by Ula Radwanska last week winning 2 games, lost a set to average Govortsova aswell before that. Giorgi qualified well here winning 3 matches, still waiting to really break out but has a decent game, can ballbash and fancy her to be decent today.

  9. Re: Wimbledon 2012 Fognini +4.5 games vs Llodra @ 4/5 (SJames:3pts) Might seem crazy opposing a player who prefers faster surfaces but I dont like Llodra here at all and his form this year stinks really bar the odd week indoors. Dont like what I've seen of him in the singles and he looks on the slide to me as a player, think he's worth opposing until he shows some form as he's failed to show for me in the few times I have backed him this year. Fognini more of a dirtballer but I fancy him to be competitive in this type of match-up, he won a couple of matches on grass last week against Ramos and Tomic, nothing special but wins nonetheless, and he did reach 3rd rd at Wimby 2 years ago beating Verdasco, I had Fognini on a plus that day, you never know what you'll get with him but I sense Llodra will have to put in a significantly improved performance of what we've seen in recent months to bust the line, I'm willing to bet to see if he can do it.
