  1. Re: Belgium > Jupiler League > 28-29 July

well... I don't really like today's games. I'm happy to have won my money yesterday, so today will be calm. Gent has lost a lot of important players. El Ghanassy went to WBA, Coulibaly left, Smolders, who was of a huge importance if you ask me went to Cercle Brugge... I don't see them doing well at all this year. Against Lierse they should be able of winning the game, becauste Lierse aswell I don't suspect a lot from. They still don't have a great team, and they lost Maric to Lokeren, who was a leader for Lierse and Kawashima left for Standard, the goalkeeper they got now I don't trust, He's an african international, who came from a 3rd division team. because I don't suspect a lot from this game, gent already had a midweek game aswell, I'm going for a under 2.5 goals scored in this game on low stakes Standard is another team I don't know what to suspect off them. They lost some players, they bought kawashima, because Bolat is injured, and I suspect them to play ciman-van damme as central defenders. Ciman, good player from time to time, v damme was played as midfielder last year(s) Standard lost a lot of important players aswell. I think the loss of Tchité AND Cyriac is a huge blow for them. Both went to direct rivals for the title (Brugge and Anderlecht). Ogunjimi came back to belgium and I got some trust in him and his ability to score, but I'm not sure if he can solve all the problems, last year there where a lot of long balls to speedy tchité and Cyriac, who also won a lot of duels. This year it'll be all different. A new coach and a lot of new players makes standard have to play another kind of game. Standard says they are title candidates, but I just can't see that happening yet. Standard bought some players, but a lot of them are still questions for me. Want to see them at work first. They play Zulte Waregem today, who are a good team now Dury is coach again. Berrier and Leye are the most important players they god, and both of those players failed at standard. They want to prove something now. Prove Standard they where wrong not letting them play a lot and letting them go. I do want to place a bet here, but also it'll be low stakes. Standard at 1.78 is really low I think, Under 2.5 at 1.94 is nice I think, but I'm not sure yet. Still in doubt of LAYING Standard, don't see them winning all that easy, or going for a under 2.5 goals scored.
Gent won 2-0 so under 2.5 goals Standard lost 0-1 against zulte waregem so under 2.5 was good and laying standard aswell. Not bad :D I went for the lay of standard in the end. Now, last game is Genk - Cercle brugge. Again hard game, Genk is missing a lot of defenders so that could cause some trouble. Cercle bought some nice players. I can see Genk winning this game, but not really a big score, or score difference. I think I'm leaving this game for what it is.. Genk without a lot of defenders and aswell De Bruyne who left I want to see how far Genk are. Can Gorius do what De Bruyne did last year? Leaving this game for what it is. Got enough for this week. C you all next week!

Some interesting thing to me: KV Mechelen - Charleroi, as said here I Mechelen has great odds so I'm going for a Mechelen win aswell. High stakes on 1.60 at betfair, I had worse! Club Brugge - Waasland Beveren Club Brugge bought a lot of great players. Tchité is a great striker and they still have akpala and Vleminckx aswell. In midfield they are strong, Jorgensen won't play since he's injured, but they got enough players to play there. In defense they also bought some players. An extra central defender and buysse came to brugge, because the leftback position was poor at brugge. Waasland Beveren is my favorite to reglate, they have a poor team and poor strikers aswell. Cavens is old, the other 'strikers' they have not good enough. I believe Brugge want to show how good they are in their first home game of the season and I see a big win for Brugge here. Medium stakes on club to win -1.5 AH Beerschot - Lokeren Both teams seem to be fully armed for the new season. Beerschot has a new coach with adrie Koster and he loves to play offensive football. Lokeren is a team that's a bit hard to predict, but they'll always go for the win. a +2.5 goals scored seems nice here. Because Koster loves offensive football, beerschot has some great offensive players with Mununga who came back to Belgium, Coulibaly who is a good striker and Losada who is king of assists. +2.5 goals scored here for me, medium stakes On the Kortrijk - Anderlecht game I'm still in doubt. Kortrijk has a good home reputation, but always seem to be having difficulties with anderlecht, while other big teams lose at Kortrijk regular. Last year, last game they played eachother Kortrijk won but I think I'm going for a +2.5 goals scored aswell here, not sure yet. Beware, this game is at 18.00, others are later!
Mechelen won 4-2 Club Brugge won 3-1 Beerschot-Lokeren was 2-4 all won :beer

  5. Re: Belgium > Supercup > 22 July I don't think I got the time to write a huge season preview, but I'll read BelgianPunter's preview for sure and I'll let you know how I feel. To me: anderlecht and Club Brugge are title favorites, Genk and Standard behind them. Gent has lost a lot and will need to buy extra players teams as zulte Waregem, Cercle Brugge and Kortrijk are teams playing for spot 5 and 6 if you ask me. Lierse, Leuven, Waasland Beveren, Bergen and Charleroi are playing to stay in this season.

  6. Re: Belgium > Supercup > 22 July Follow you on thisone. Anderlecht missing a lot of defenderds, Juhasz and kouyate are important, wasyl can play central aswell, deschacht is just not good enough for Anderlecht. Lokeren must be able to score so it seems. On the other hand Lokeren is missing De Ceulaer who is a really important player, but Harbaoui is already doing good so I hope he can do something. +2.5 for me aswell.

  7. Re: Belgium - Jupiler League - 5-6 May I don't have a lot of time this weekend to write something but here are my bets: Gent - Kortrijk Gent win, they are the better side and Smolders, Jorgensen and Thijs are back in the squad, what is the whole midfield. Also Arzo is back as central defender. Gent still has something to play for, Kortrijk is looking forward to the end of the season after a long and hard season with a cup final aswell. The players are tired and last week against the Genk, former team from the coach they really wanned the win and gave it everything, but I can't see them doing that again against Gent. My bets: Gent Win Gent win AH -1 (both high stakes) Anderlecht - Club Brugge Also here going for a home victory. Anderlecht looks the better side and Club Brugge isn't all that good anymore atm. Anderlecht can smell the title and they can win it if they win this game against nr. 1 rival club brugge. Anything better then taking the title in a game like this? Argentin stars Suarez and Biglia will be fired up extra because the Assistent manager from Argentina is in Belgium to scout both players. Anderlecht to win this game for me! (High stakes) Anderlecht AH -1 aswell (medium stakes)

  8. Re: Belguim > InBev Jupiler League > 1st - 2nd May today we have Anderlecht - Gent and Kortrijk - Genk, both interesting games if you ask me. anderlecht is on his way to becom champions. If they win today they can become champion next week in an home game against rival Club Brugge. The game of Anderlecht has somewhat improved last games and Jovanovic played the best game since his arrival with anderlecht last game. Gent is missing some important players. Jorgensen and Thijs are both suspended while Smolders and Arzo should rest. This means VanDenbrugge and Bruls will play central midfield, together with... Ljubijankic perhaps? or a more defensive option... thing is Smolders and Thijs are both leaders on the Gent midfield and Gent can't do it without them. For Anderlecht Mbokani and Klejstan are back from suspension so they can play as they want. I'm going for a Anderlecht win here! Anderlecht to win -1 AH aswell! (havn't seen odds, I'm at work) and both high stakes for me! Second game is Kortrijk that'll play Genk at home. V. Haezebroeck is Genk's old manager but he was fired because of poor results. Since then, he went back to his former team Kortrijk, Kortrijk have played all good games against Genk. Kortrijk's season is somewhat done and I got the feeling some players are taking int easy and are more buisy planning their holiday instead of playing as they should. Nevertheless I believe V. Haezebroeck will get his team fired up one last time for this game against his former side. Defensively some problems for Kortrijk. Keeper V. Hout is out with broken ribs, but their isn't a lot of difference between him and 2nd goalie Keet. For Genk 1 big name missing. Kevin De Bruyne broke his toe and his season is over. He is the creative force Genk has. Attacking, finding the right man at the right time and creating chances will be a lot more difficult then before now. I believe Kortrijk can take the win here. my bet: Kortrijk to win (small stakes)

  9. Midweek games starting with Club Brugge - Standard today. Last weekend wasn't my best and I hope to win some today. Should happen with a game like this. club Brugge dreamed of the titel, but that seems gone. They have to fight for spot nr. 2 now and that won't be easy either. The game against Standard should be won easy. Standard is missing a lot of important players with Cyriac, Tchité and Bolat. Last game they won only thanks to Kortrijk who where dreaming of the end of the season I guess. Brugge won't do that and will play their game. Odds of 1.79 (betfair) don't seem to high, but when you see who Standard will be missing its kind of normal I guess. Just more quality in Brugges team and I can't see Standard gaining points there, or their backup goaly should play the game of his life! high stakes on club Brugge for me Club Brugge to win (-1 AH) medium stakes aswell! gl all!

  10. Re: Belguim > InBev Jupiler League > 27th - 28th April De Bruyne has broken his toe.. End of season for him, Genk's results will go down now! I have to make up for a poor day yesterday. Lost a lot of money because of Genk and not really easy bets here I think I'm going for a Cercle Brugge win, because they have given me the impression they really want to win PO II and Leuven is playing in for next season. Giving some yought chances,... Cercle has more quality aswell as Leuven so I believe they should win thisone! medium stakes Gent-Club Brugge is hard to predict. Both teams have had their ups and downs. Gent has recovered some of their players who where injured, Club Brugge suffered a major blow last week losing to Anderlecht. Under 2.5 goals seem likely here, because it's a game between 2 teams with a great goaly and both teams don't want to loose this game between rivals. It seems a good bet to go under 2.5 goals, but I'm wayting for the line ups here Standard-Kortrijk is the last interesting game. I'm going for a surprise here and let Kortrijk have thisone. Could be I'm going for a lay of Standard, but most likely I'm going for a Kortrijk win. Why? Bolat is out due injury and I don't have a lot of faith in the 2nd goalkeeper. Tchité and Cyriac, leading strikers for Standard are both injured as well so they'll be missing a lot of firepower in front Batsuayi has shown he is a good striker when he has one of the above strikers besides him, but allone in front it's not as good, he's suspended aswell I believe. 2 games and I think first game is today. Some players as Seijas and I. Gonzalez aren't playing as good as they once where. They'll be the offensive power today, but do they really have offensive power? Kortrijk has a great hope reputation, but away it hasn't been as great perhaps. They are the smallest team in PO I but they really want to show the country they can play the game. They are playing good football and they got a team. There are some players who are individually better then some others, but the most important for me here is that they play as a team! I see them winning in Liège. A Kortrijk win for me (small-medium stakes)

  11. Re: Belguim > InBev Jupiler League > 27th - 28th April Jovanovic played a good game, Genk was nowhere without De Bruyne. It all started off wrong with a goal from anderlecht after poor defending and without De Bruyne there wasn't enough creativity for Genk... Totally different team and I wonder who'll have the impossible? task of replacing him when he go's to chelsea next season.

  12. Re: Belguim > InBev Jupiler League > 27th - 28th April Today there is Genk - Anderlecht. Anderlecht are at the first place and won against Club Brugge last week, but that doesn't mean they'll win thisone (easy). Dieumerci Mbokani made all the diference against Club Brugge, that once again was scared of taking the first place. Genk is playing without pressure. They had a terrible season, with the loss of some strong players from last year, and with Joneleit they missed their leader in defense for some time. When things started to get better Toszer signed for Genoa and didn't feel like giving it his best in games. He was scared of injurys and he didn't play well. Since we are in the Play Offs, Kevin De Bruyne is playing in a central role and Genk is doing great with De Bruyne as playmaker. He is doing great offensively where he sees the openings and can give the pass aswell, but defensively aswell he is doing his work. There are a lot of absent players this game. Hyland misses this game because of a poor decision of the ref last game. I believe nadson OR Simaeys will play in the midfield position and Joneleit, who's back from injury and has played some minutes, will start this game. For Anderlecht there are a lot of problems. Wasilewski will be out due suspension (red card 4 match ban) and Mbokani is suspended due 5 yellow cards and Klejstan will be missing this game aswell. Suarez is struggling with a knee injury during this play offs (and the end of the regular season) and it hasn't been good for his level. The only player that's playing good for Anderlecht is Mbokani I believe, but as said he's suspended. I believe Genk will play like this: Koteles - Anele, Simaeys, Joneleit, Tshimanga - Buffel, De Bruyne, Nadson, Vanden Borre - Vossen, Benteke Could be Simaeys and Nadson change position, they both can play defensive midfield and it depends what Been thinks. For anderlecht it's a lot harder because of the injurys: Proto - Lukaku, Juhasz, Kouyaté, Odoi - Biglia, Gillet, Kanu - Jovanovic, Suarez, Canesin I believe Lukaku will be leftdefender, Odoi right. Could be Odoi is left defender, Gillet go's to right defense and Mbenza comes in the team aswell. In front question is who will play at Mbokani's spot. I think Canesin will get his chance, moving Suarez to a more central role. Belgian press believes De Sutter will get another chance in front, but I don't believe that actually. My bet: I'm going for a Genk win. Genk has the best form. They are playing well and know what they are doing. No pressure, because of the bad season every result in this play offs is a win. With Standard missing some important players, Gent losing already some games and Kortrijk being the weakest side a 3rd place should be possible, but it seems Genk arn't concentrating on that. Anderlecht arn't playing to well. Denfensively Juhasz is showing us he's not as good as a lot of people think. He's poor positional at times and defensively he's to focussed on the striker and looses the ball sometimes. In midfield Biglia isn't playing how he should be playing and Gillet isn't scoring the goals he scored in the beginning of the season. Suarez is playing poor because of an injury and Mbokani, a man who can decide a match on his own is suspended. I can't see Anderlecht winning this game and I even believe Genk will win with at least 2 goals difference, but that's to risky perhaps. Genk win it is, high stakes! gl all! :hope:hope

  13. Re: Belguim > InBev Jupiler League > 27th - 28th April Standard goalkeeper Bolat and striker Tchité are added to the injury list. Out for the rest of the season the verdict is. Together with Cyriac who already was out Standard is missing 3 important players. I can't see them gaining a lot of points this season. Anderlecht won against Brugge, but it was poor once again. Mbokani was the 'beast' who made the difference, but he is suspended this weekend. I can't see Anderlecht winning @ Genk. I think I'm going huge on a Genk win

  14. Re: Belgium > Jupiler League > 21 - 22 April

Club - Anderlecht is to hard I think. Could go either way. Genk - Standard I'm going for a Genk win. They are doing great this play offs with De Bruyne in a central role. Standard is really poor this season and in the play offs. Away games are really hard for them and I can't see that change this game. Genk is fully fit I believe while Standard misses Cyriac and some players are doubtfull or not fully fit to go 90'. A Genk win for me here high stakes!
    Genk won 3-2, from 0-2 down! win :D :nana:nana

  16. Re: Belgium > Jupiler League > 21 - 22 April Yeah, tell me about it. I hate play offs aswell.. and it isn't an easy system either... The natioal team is good, but not good enough so it seems... The competition well.... Is loosing it stars! Defour and Witsel left last year, so did Lukaku and Carcela. In goal we lost Courtois who has proven to be a good goalkeeper. In midfield this year De Bruyne will be leaving, off to chelsea (or on a loan). Biglia hasn't played to his abilities lately and other players are still growing so... the competition is getting way less interesting.
