  2. Check your paddy accounts - i had a free satellite token for this. 2 steps from a seat. Date: 21st – 23rd November Venue - Manch235ter Casino Home to Europe’s longest running and most prestigious live poker event, The Irish Open’, Paddy Power (for the first time ever), is bringing the ‘craic’ to the UK with our MADchester Poker Open. In partnership with Manchester’s top casino, ‘Manch235ter’, we’ll play host a 3 day live poker event that guarantees a massive £100,000 prize pool… Have we gone mad? I’m afraid so, but to quote Lewis Carol, ‘’ the best people usually are”. Oh, have we mentioned this is an Alice in Wonderland themed event? That’s right folks, it’s Alice on ‘craic’, so buy a seat at the mad hatters table for £500 + £50 and prepare to step into a dark wonderland of Poker genius. The event runs from 21st – 23rd November. Players can chose to play either on Day 1a (beginning at noon on November 21st) or on Day 1b (beginning at 8pm on November 21st). The event also offers one re entry so if you bust Day 1a you can have another crack at Day 1b. If you think you have what it takes to take on the Queen of Hearts or call the Cheshire Cat’s bluff then you really would be mad to miss out! (There won’t be any chopping off of heads, we promise). And one more thing – don’t be late, it’s a very important date! Ok we’re sorry, but we had to throw it in there.

  3. Re: New Pokerstars UK software

Yeah unless you are grinding out games regularly it's tough to get much reward , but it the same on other sites to unless you have a rakeback deal or sign up bonus. My only issue so far is it didn't save yesterday's games to Holdem Manager , so need to sort that out
Some sites are very good. Stan james and 32red you can claim back $1s regularly. Others allow points to be carried over year on year. Stars is one of the worst out there
  4. Re: New Pokerstars UK software yeah mine says 100k too and 0% completed. The 750 vpps is pretty unattainable anyway unless you play big money poker. Ive got up to 415 vpps playing $7 turbo fifties - over 200 games - $1500 risked and still not close to getting a free $10 - wow!

  5. Re: The end of Daily Winnings i have not been posting of late simply because i have not been winning! Ive rarely played of late - just the Grand Prix games and live IPO seats. Appreciate the efforts of everyone who helps on this site. I only became a profitable poker player in 2013 after i started coming on to the site daily. PL has played a big part in me upping my game.

  6. Re: Boyle Vegas League - starts 27th October

League page updated with first 2 legs of results. http://poker.boylepoker.com/online_poker/boylepoker-las-vegas-league/ LIKE2FISH had a storming result last night by the looks of it! WP! Can see a few other PL up there in the mix too, but there's still a long way to go. I got done again losing all in with 1010 vs J10 which rivered a flush, but I picked up some good points again so I'll not moan too much. I was also quite surprised to log in to Boyles at 8:40 and see the tournament had started 40 mins earlier. Probably my own fault for not checking, but I assumed it would be same time as the Monday leg?!
i think the original will have been messed up with the clocks going back. 8pm in future.
  7. Re: Coral Oktoberfest Ipad give-away freeroll looks like i gave you the kiss of death. unlucky. i never had a sniff of a decent hand all night until a late double up with AK gave me a bit of hope after some hard grinding. However i got them more or less in on a Ax8 board with 89 v 44 only for a turn card 4 to kill me.

  8. Re: 2014 BoylePoker International Poker Open (IPO) Tour - Next Leg (Dublin) 16th Oct Well my time in dublin is coming to an end as I sit in departures awaiting my eagle home. I ended up playing 3 events. The main event and then the two turbo freezeouts all without success. Despite zilch success it's been an enjoyable experience. I've never played in a tournament like this before and nothing I saw would phase me from playing in one again. I was not too far away from the money in both turbos but ultimately failed in large due to being card dead in both events, missing every flop regardless of whether I played the hand or not and sitting on a table full of card racks with constant top pairs and sets hit. As with the Newcastle main event I got absolutely no respect for raises whatsoever. 5 limpers to my blind and I five-raise....and I get 5 calls.....very few reraises on the table but no one would fold. There seemed to be a lot of people hell bent on chipping up as quick as possible which was strange given the 3-day structure. Makes it more frustrating when your patience is finally rewarded with a great flop and you end up going out. I got a full day down in dublin taking in the Guinness brewery (I still don't like the stuff mind), the museum of leprechuans, the castle and sampling an Irish stew. I also watched a kids football match at Home Farm FC, which is where former leeds stars Gary Kelly, Ian Harte, Stephen McPhail and Nicky Byrne (westlife) hailed from. I've walked plenty and spent two long sessions in the pool, jacuzzi, steam room, sauna. I'll be home this evening and back to the daily grind tomorrow. The one-time dream lives on.......

  9. Re: 2014 BoylePoker International Poker Open (IPO) Tour - Next Leg (Dublin) 16th Oct Cillian Brady ko'd me. Day 1c chip leader on 220k...........:eyes looks about 15yr old and what really galls me is that he barely watched a single hand all day. He spent 90% of his time messing around on his phone and left the table 3-4 times every session for 5 min absences. At least the early night has refreshed me for going to see what Dublin has to offer today.

  10. Re: 2014 BoylePoker International Poker Open (IPO) Tour - Next Leg (Dublin) 16th Oct Hate this stupid game! :D Had a shocking start losing with two pair, aces and kings. Quickly down to 18k in the first session. stabilised in the second session and managed to get back to 22k. Next session was going great. Ak straight and kings paid well. Got up to 45k and starting to feel it. Dealer dealt me a 77 and got in a three handed pot. Flop 347 rainbow. They both check, I raise to 1200. Lady folds, young lad raises to 2100. I'm only worried over the 5-6 and reraise to 6.5k. He calls. Turn comes 9. He checks, I raise 10k, he shoves and I call. He shows frickin 99. Not quite as sick as the boyle Newcastle exit but between them both it's a big disappointment.
