  2. Re: Final Table Crash Email reply from Stan James was very quick and informative. Result stands and i will get nothing as it was a random disconnection to a single player. Always been very impressed with Stan James site and although i am disappointed with the outcome they have once again shown they are a cut above others when it comes to service.

  3. Frustrating evening last night in the Stan James xmas special freeroll. Final tabled from the 396 starting pack and sitting short stacked but not out of it in 8th place. Looking forwards to a good run to take down the $387 prize. ......and down goes the site. Freezes and kicks me out. Ten hands later i get back in. Ive blinded/ante'd away around 25% of my stack and missed out on AKd QQ and KQ in successive hands. My internet was fine throughout so i am going to mail them and see what can be done...........

  4. Re: What do you hope to achieve in poker in 2015? Soks, the last one was in autumn 2013 and held in Birmingham. There was an Omaha game daytime and NLHE in the evening. I think there were around 40-50 runners in the NLHE. This is the only one i have attended as ive only really been active on this site since the start of 2013 despite joining it in 2008. We didnt have one in 2014 but hopefully there will be one in 2015.

  5. Re: What do you hope to achieve in poker in 2014? Well here was my 2014 "hope to achieve" list......... 1) To make a profit - SUCCESS £1051.17 profit recorded for the year 2) To keep more detailed records to see where i am profitable and how long i am playing for - FAILED just didnt keep up to this but have largely played MTTs or turbo STTs. I know for a fact my profit comes from MTTs 3) To play a live seat £200+ SUCCESS Played Boyle IPO in Newcastle and Dublin - enjoyed the events, didnt enjoy the badbeats 4) To play the live PL Championships N/A - no event but likely to play the Xmas game on 5th 5) To play Leeds PPUK SUCCESS and cashed finishing in 9th place. Nice to get a mention in the magazine too 6) Never to deposit into 888 SUCCESS and have made $10.52 from free tickets 7) To make love to Amy Adams on a green baize full of cash with senshi and samba taking photos. SUCCESS (in my dreams)

  6. Re: Everest i did worry about that but i can access the website and worst case scenario withdraw from there. Strangely though maximum i can take out is £30 from my £34 current balance. Im calling shenanighans here.

  7. anyone else having problems with this site? Just doing an annual clear up of accounts and i cannot log in. Tried deleting and downloading software but i get the same problem.Site loads up but i cannot log in - click on log in link and nothing.

  8. Re: PP Mag Winner $1k added promo

Oh if I had a pound for every correct prediction I made this year, I'd have in the region of..... err £1 :D But my belief in the awesomeness of fellow PL'ers would run into many '000s. Well done guys, brilliant as always :nana
Cheers Bart, i actually tried to play again on Friday night.........the Boyle 1k added. Quite expensive to play but occasionally i dabble. Well i late late registered just before the 2 hour cut off which left me in an action now position. I played 7 hands, had went from 5k to 9k chips to then lose connection for 1.5 hours. Finally got it back to have 275 chips left! Finished 20th only 5 short of the money! I actually vowed that i was retiring for 2014 as i didnt think todays tourney would go ahead. Late check and got in with 10 mins to spare. I might still retire for this year and come back next year now but thats taken my profit to over 1k now. Happy with that.
  9. Re: PP Mag Winner $1k added promo Got to announce that i was zammaz74 :-) Taken me a while to post because the game left me exhausted. Entered the last 4 well behind and needed some bravery to keep aggressive. Managed to get back into things and when it looked like the bubble would burst Mr Gray found a huge slice of luck with a 4 on the river doubling him up. I was sat here with my son on the rail and he was on an agreed 50% of the winnings along with his mum. I was shouting NO FOURS NO FOURS NO FOURS..... On went the game and Mr Gray ran into my Kings - he was surely dead this time - down to only 600 chips. Next hand went three-way to take out Mark. I hit mid-pair on a low flop and thought that might be enough. Damn the dealer when he sent down two more cards to make it a 34567 board...ah well a split pot.......nope Mr Gray has A8 and triples up!! On the game went and on and on.......... Finally it was the Owl that ran into the chip leaders AT and the bubble burst. My pocket 44s went straight in and this time it was my turn to find a huge slice of luck beating 99 with a straight. I think i beat Mark again with pocket kings leaving me heads up just behind YouveHeardofMe Managed to win the bigger pots and lost the little ones and fairly quickly got well ahead. Stayed patient to constant shoving on my blind until i called with AJ.... enough to take it down! Ive won nothing in poker of late so there was elation at the end - jumping around the house chanting champione! Been a while coming :nana

  10. Re: Leeds PP GP Final Fraid I went out fairly early. Just a continuation of my bad running in the big live games I've played. I had QQ but flop had 3 spades (including Q) and so I had to raise big and only win a smallish pot. Aces x2.5 raise was met by everyone folding. AK had to fold to a x10 raise in front of me. TT had to fold to a x10 raise in front of me. the one post-flop bluff I tried was met with a reraise x3 With 7.5k ish left I had AQ. Raised x3 pre and was met by an all-in shove which would have left me with exactly 3k chips if I called and lost. Player had been fairly loose so made the call and was delighted to see ATo. Not so delighted to see the ten on the turn that effectively left me shafted. With 3k left and in bb of 300 I was delighted to see ATc and the prospect of sneaking back into it. Shoved against a min raise who called me with his KK.....managed to find 4 clubs just to hurt me more before the river put the final nail in. Good luck to rep and like2fish. I'd worked out who you were and tried to find you at first break but you'd disappeared. Overall another disappointing experience after the hard work involved in qualifying and it looks like my lack of interest in playing will continue for the forseeable future.
