  1. Re: Blonde/Punters Lounge Poker Trillion Forum Challenge

No i was UTG with 22 and pushed all in for about 7 and you called with 35 and hit trips, fair enough your BB, but id have though it would have been better with as many PL left as possible Good luck anyway, if your playing for us
Ok, sorry, must have been someone else. Couldn't really fold that 35, it was nothing to call.
  2. Re: Blonde/Punters Lounge Poker Trillion Forum Challenge

This is why i think i wont bother with team games' date=' big stack can protect us, what happens he takes two of us out when hes behind both times[/quote'] I can't play play a poker game where I'm in any way colluding, my job is to try and get 5 points, not help someone else get 1 or 2.
  3. Re: Hatton V Mallignagi

Hatton is quality' date=' you don't beat Kosta Tsyzu, Collazo, Castillo et al by being average. [/quote'] He beat Tszyu who had fought less than 3 rounds in 18 months, and subsequently retired. Then he beat Maussa, who has since lost 2 from 2. He lost to Collazo, but the judges gave him the decision. Urango was no world beater, and Castillo a lightweight many years past his best. I'm a Hatton fan, but Malignaggi is right that he's not as good as his record suggests.
  4. Re: Cash Games - NLHE v PLO Also, suggestions for any other variants that are cash machines these days welcome. The more obscure the better, as my biggest strength is working games out for myself quickly, rather than reading articles/learning to play like a robot.

  5. Basically, I don't see why anyone with half a brain would be playing NLHE cash games these days. Even the bad players at low stakes table have a decent understanding of the game. 5 years ago, all you had to do to beat NLHE cash games was play a TAG game, and watch the cash roll in. Well PLO is at that stage right now - a growing game full of lots of fish trying to learn it. And, even better, it's a real action game, compared to the grind of NLHE. Eventually the games will toughen up, and we'll have to find a new cash machine, but I don't think that will happen all that soon, as we're not exactly overwhelmed by media coverage of PLO.

  6. Re: What would you do?

To be fair' date=' I think it's only the first two posters who said fold (TQM and Galronix) - after that everyone has said they'll call havent they? :unsure[/quote'] :lol I only read the 1st page, that was enough for me. I think even Hellmuth would call here!
  7. Re: Poker Software Mods

I don't use 4 colour deck because i'm luckily enough to have a perfectly good eye sight to be able to tell 4 different suits from eachother' date=' even when 8tabling, plus the mod 4 colour decks make it look like a computer game rather than proper poker. And when it becomes a game the money don't matter right? IMO.[/quote'] (This discussion should probably be in it's own thread so mods feel free to move if you want) Interesting point about it not being like real poker. I don't really see how a 4 colour deck makes it not like proper poker. However - IF poker seems like a computer game people's emotions are less likely to take over than when they're thinking about the money, and this should improve play. In fact, I have heard several players who have ground their way from the low level games up say that they treat the cash like points in a computer game, and their sole objective is to gain enough points to reach the next level of the game.
