  1. Evening folks, probably been around 10 years since I was last on the Forum......had a quick look and recognize a few names still posting although no sign of GaF which is very sad.

Anyway, I think it's time to dabble back into poker (before I'm dead) and wonder if there's any recommendations for any decent Satellites or added value Tournies.....the value doesn't appear to be the same as it used to be back in the 'dark ages'.

Cheers for any information that can win me a few quid and hopefully a couple of folk remember me!.

Re: PaddyPower Cheltenham Freerolls (March 9th to March 13th) These freerolls are great fun.....out first hand in every one so far except one where I lasted till the 3rd hand!:nana:nana:nana Still one to go but we're down to the single chip tournies now!:cry Day on the beer tomorrow but will be back on these on Thursday if they're on!:hope TQM p.s Annie Power falling cost me a few quid in my Ante Post Accy!!:cry:cry:cry

  3. Re: AT&T Pebble Beach National > February 12th - 15th Hi Folks, I'll try to make more of an effort to the Golf Threads each week, so here goes.. Jimmy Walker @ 9/1 with Coral My personal opinion is that Jimmy Walker is now one of the most consistent performers on the US Tour - he's discovered how to turn a bad round into a 71 or 72 and that makes a huge difference. It's a tough Tournament to win playing alongside the (so called Celebs) but Jimmy has a proven record of doing well here with top 10 finishes in 2011,12&13 then winning in 2014. Anyway, good luck whoever you pick! TQM

  4. Re: WCOOP #12 $215 buy-in Stake Request Enjoyed reading this thread!:ok The Nade:@:wall:@ from 5 or 6 years ago is light years away from the current version......very very easy to tell you've matured as a player and, more importantly, as a person just by the way you describe Hand Histories or the way you've been knocked out. You come across as being very calm and in control of your feelings which, in poker, is worth it's weight in gold!:D:D:D You've been unlucky in this staking but I'm sure you've many prosperous days ahead...good luck!!:hope:hope TQM

  5. Re: Where you playing on this super sunday And out of the SM in around 19,000 place! First decent buy in that I've played for a few years and have to say that I enjoyed it......the thing I noticed was that the raises all seemed to be minimal and that minimal raise was usually enough to take down the pot uncontested! My departing hand.....shoved with 12 BB's with AKs and called by QQ....no complaints! Good luck if anyone still in! TQM

  6. Re: Where you playing on this super sunday

Gl TQM' date=' just about buy the Dons if you win it.[/quote'] Sounds like a plan! Not much to report....flopped a straight in the BB.....bet turn and river but the nice chap with AQ kept calling and got his lovely flush. The pleasing thing was I had put him on AQ or AJ so I'm maybe not as drunk as I thought! Got AA utg and when I raise from that position it's like everyone can see my hand and fold....guess I'm waaaayyy too tight! Just started on a pack of 'beers from around the world' from christmas time so the end should be in sight! TQM
  7. Re: PL Exclusive - Stan James February Poker League - $650 ADDED - 3rd Leg Feb 17th Averaging 40 runners is very healthy!:ok One sad note is that I used to enjoy reading the threads on the PL Exclusive games (4 pages or more) and the winner's speech was always good to see......now there are very little, if any, comments!:sad If nothing else, it always gave Teaulc a platform to vent his frustration / anger on his 'hand of departure':lol:lol:lol Well done to all the cashers and participants:clap TQM
