  1. Re: Germany - Bundesliga - 23-25 September The fact that with Geromel the key defender is out should be considered. Jemal who had agreat debut against Leverkusen on left defense side has been injured in that game and will miss out here so the weak form Eichner has to get in on LDEF. He is potentially not that bad, just running through a rather weak period of play. Newcomer Sereno who was moved on RDEF in the last game is moving back on CDEF to cover Geromels position, I think he is decent but its hard to say he can order the defense with so short time at the club. McKenna next to him is an experienced player being with Köln for years but overall he isnt really quality as well. Right defense position remains a questionmark as Sereno has to move on center position. The most logical adjustment would be to move back Riether on RDEF (he played it all the way for Wolfsburg) and put in Lanig on defensive Midfield. Doing so, I think they could repair the damage done by Geromel pretty okay. Coming to Hoffenheim, I think they have an absolutely great forward row with Obasi, Babbel, Firminho to start with. They never cover the same position and rotate so much making it difficult to defend. Sigurdsson returned last week from his injury, starting for 60 minutes. I think he will start again and its a guy who can deliver the right passes and he adds additional danger from set pieces. Salihovic is still a miss, but they are compensating it a bit more defensive with youngster Kaiser now, just because ever since Salihovic is missing Sigurdsson is back who is interprating his role more offensive than Johnson (who got injured just when Sigurdsson came back as well) so the balance is more or less kept the same in midfield here. I have got a goal lean here, I think Cologne is improving in defending but having to change the defense so often cannot help to bring the Solbakken tactic on the pitch. Then again they own offensive qualities which they can play out on a good day, Hoffenheim is capable of scoring as usual but they can be naiv at times as shown against Wolfsburg where they concede the 2:1 out of nowhere to just finish the match off 3:1 lateron. I think the price is a bit high to bet pre match, but if we have a look into the game for a few minutes I think we should be capable of catching a fair price. If you ask me about the handicapping, well Hoffenheim would be my lean but I think they are running a bit too high right now and the price is adjusted pretty fair already. :ok

  2. Re: Tennis - The US Open 2011

    Sport Tennis
Event Serena Williams - Victoria Azarenka
    Selection Serena Williams(-1.5) set handicap
    Strength 2/10
    Date 03/09/2011
    Bookmaker/Price SBOBet @ 1.54
Reasoning Victoria Azarenka isn't really in the best of form coming into this game. Before US Open she lost at Stanford in the 1st round to Erakovic in 3 sets, while in Toronto she met Serena in the semi-finals, and despite a perfect tournament till than she bowed down in 2 sets. Serena is finally looking to be in top gear. She won at Toronto and Stanford beating top quality opponents with ease. Her serve is a monster, her baseline shots are like in the good old days. She dismantled Jovanovski and Krajicek in the first 2 rounds, only losing 3 games. Azarenka simply doesn't have the serve to match Serena here. Even at the top of her game she would have an impossible job of winning this match-up with Serena in current form. 2 sets win for the champ.
Serena is an interesting bet indeed. I am a bit surprised that her odds rise from 1.2 to around 1.34. Is there any information on why that is happening?
  3. Re: Germany - Bunsdesliga -> 13-14.08.2011

Gladbach's striker de Camargo is out for this match' date='therefore the under is much more possible,Idrissou won't be nominated,so Bobadilla will play.[/quote'] Optionally Reus could move on ATT position around Hanke and Rupp would come in on the wing instead. Not a huge difference both options :ok
  4. Re: Germany - Bundesliga II - 15-18 July

where hell the benny is ? :sad (i also would like to ask if anyone can share websites, opinions on preseason works of the teams and on expectations this year..i know, skysports and espn have complete entries on England Leauges every preseason time..Goal.com publish this kind of stories also for top leauges but i couldn't see such available info for Bundesliga II or Italy B or so lower leauges.)
I think people moaning about him posting short before kick-off made him not posting further... ;)

Turkish Super Lig Winner 10/11 - Win Outright ; Fenerbahce - The Turkish Super Lig Winner 2010/11 @1.73 Skybet 9/10 Good Luck :)
A pity you wrote it in the wrong colours but the prediction could only go right. EN BÃœYÃœK FENERBAHCE!!!!!!!!!!! :beer:beer:beer:beer:beer:beer:beer:beer:beer:beer:beer:beer:beer:beer:beer:beer:beer:beer:beer:beer:beer
  6. Re: Turkey Super Lig 2010/2011

Turkish Super Lig Winner 10/11 - Win Outright ; There are 2 candidates for the title at the moment, Fenerbahce and Trabzonspor... Both of them have 70 points but Fenerbahce is above Trabzonspor as the leader of the table since the rule indicates that in the event of a points tie ; 1. Points from matches between teams. 2. Goal difference from matches between teams will apply and despite losing to Trabzon away from home by 0-1, since Fenerbahce beat Trabzon by 2-0 so in case of a point tie at the end of the season Fenerbahce will be the champions of 2010/11... Lets check the remaining games ; Trabzonspor: Gaziantepspor (H) Bucaspor (A) İstanbul B.B (H) K.Karabükspor (A) Fenerbahçe: İstanbul B.B (H) K.Karabükspor (A), Ankaragücü (H) Sivasspor (A) So, I believe that week by week the offered price will be much lower and despte I still didnt decide my bet, in case of a point loss against Gaziantepspor this week, Trabzon may lose most of it's chance against Fenerbahce... Besides, I believe that after the come back of Fenerbahce against Buca from 1-3 to 5-3, the motivation and most importantly the morale of Trabzon team went preety down... Pt yourself in their position, its pretty depressing... Well, to conclude, where there is no Galatasaray and Besiktas, especially after losing the title 2 times in the last game Fenerabahce wont make another last game mistake and I also believe that after this moment Fenerbahce wont lose this chance to get the title... As a Galatasaray fan, I ofcourse dont feel happy about this situation but besides the reasons above, I strongly believe that the price offered for Fenerabahce to win the title is a good catch, so ; Fenerbahce - The Turkish Super Lig Winner 2010/11 @1.73 Skybet 9/10 Good Luck :)
I really hope this bet will win, gonna make me a happy man. Yürü Kanarya! :notworthy
  7. Re: UEFA Champions League > Schalke v Manchester United > Tuesday 26 April

WOW Zico, that's impressive man, good job...as always :ok But i'm sticking with my bets,i think the prices i took are spot on. I will not regret even if Shalke wins ;)
By no means I did highlight Schalke situation to say a bet on them is good. It was just a small information basis where people who know Man Utd can have a better idea about the match. Good luck with the bets guys. :ok
  8. Re: UEFA Champions League > Schalke v Manchester United > Tuesday 26 April

Just mine point of view: Shalke is some sort of sensation here,as nobody predicted them to go that far. Some better quality teams are left out already. They keep winning all home games in Cl and then lose to teams like Kaiserslautern-bizzare really.I know it's their last chance as next year there will be no Euro comp for them.TBH this situation with Shalke reminds me of Spurs and Shakhtar. Both Spurs and Shakhtar won all their home game in CL before met big Sharks like Barca and Real. And even then ppl kept saying they have some chance at home. Both lost 2 legs.So i see where this hype about Shalke is comming from. But imo MU will be class above Shalke atm.I do expect close game but with almost full MU squad available i just don't see how Shalke can win this even at home. GL
Okay I think I have to clarify a few things here so people understand Schalke much better because some wrong things displayed here. I am struggling to know where I should start but well lets see... Schalke as a club Schalke is a workers club. Many fans dont have high paid jobs and the area around the stadium (Gelsenkirchen) isnt really one of the nicest places you want to visit. However or mostly due to this circumstances Schalke 04 as a club has a high focus in the area and many fans are really close to the club. Schalke aims in the past years Schalke has been always aiming to cope with Bayern München in Bundesliga and due to several investments which contained high risk they found themselve in a critical situation two years ago. The new stadium came along with high debts which they yet have to pay. They were able to bind investors such as Gazprom to the club in order to be able to hold on a level with Bayern as well. However, a few weak years and lots of money spend on transfers, salaries and others ended up in critical financial situation. Financial Situation of Schalke In order to be competitive they always invested and payed a lot to their players. Not everyone was worth it and when success stayed out they have been struggling big time. The situation was critical before Magath took over in Schalke last year. It was debated that they might lose the license for Bundesliga. However with Magath coming they could avoid this and in the same year surprisingly went on the 2nd position of Bundesliga. Current debt size is estimated to be over 200 Million €. Radical personal change on Schalke Magath made a big success to get on 2nd position with this squad, it was really unexpected. As it was unexpected and Magath knew that his team was overperforming at some stage he went for a big change. Defence was almost fully sold with Bordon, Westermann, Rafinha high paid guys left the club. Further guys like Asamoah, Halil, Ze II and others who were simply average during this time but still got high paid contracts got sold or given away finally. This radical change with new transfer like Metzelder, Uchida, Annan, Jurado, Raul, Huntelaar, Edu, Sarpei and others would take some time obviously. Key players will have to work out over time and a hierarchy has to be created. Magath always highlighted, that with the success from last season, they need a new quality to be able to cope with CL - where the club would get further BIG MONEY (remember the debt situation). However, the success from last year - as much as it brought in decent money - was pure poison for Magaths plan of a radical change. The season has been started weak, pressure grow on Magath and his radical change plan. Schalke found himself on midfield after an overperformed 2nd position last year and the fans started to not support Magath anymore. Further transfer in winterbreak were criticized he transferred really a big number of players overall in 2010/2011 season. The league went pretty bad, but for some reason in Cup and CL they performed good. They reached the Cup final under Magath and the CL quarter final. Still they performed weak in the league and the atmosphere with the fans and the team didnt assist Magath anymore. The high number of players transferred also brought some unhappy players with him of course who regularly did moan about their situation in the management. This as we know, lead to Magath leaving Schalke... I would still have a few words on Magath to then have a word about the new coach and the current situation. Felix Magath as a coach Magath is a successful coach. Simple as that. Whereever he went to, he had some decent success. He won the league with Stuttgart, with Bayern (+ Cup) and with Wolfsburg. Although he has been very successfull, every club had to take into account that Magath likes to have full control. He wants to be able to decide transfer on himself, to build the team himself and just basically control everything which could influence his team. Due to this he usually wants to take control over the coach + manager position. His training work is very hard. The players have to invest a lot and will regularly train with medicine balls. This has been always positive in terms of conditional shape of the team. They could usually invest a lot over 90 minutes and be strong in the tackles. Tactically he likes the 4-1-2-1-2 system where the fullbacks are working a lot in offense and his main way to score goals was usually to come over the wings with low/high crosses on one of the strong strikers. The reason he finally left Schalke 04 was that he had full control and many people in the Schalke management including fan groups felt like they werent included in decisions at all. This lead to many critiques and finally the board of supervisors (where a few unhappy guys were sitting) decided to sack Magath as coach and manager. As Magath knew this would end dirty and Wolfsburg were struggling + sacking coach mcClaren Magath left the club himself to instantly join Wolfsburg. New coach Ralf Rangnicks past history in Schalke Coach Ralf Rangnick had already some past experiences in Schalke. During his time back on Schalke he was the most successful coach with an average pts of over 2 per match. They did beat Bayern in his first season passing the im the table but losing the title race with four defeats in the next matches. The next season was average in league, cup out pretty early and CL out early as well. Rumours grow that Rangnick should be sacked and in the next match fans were criticizing the management for this as they liked to work with Rangnick. Rangnick after the match went for a personal run through the stadium getting applauded by the fans. The management took this as a sign of provocating and indeed sacked him two days later. Later during his career Rangnick stated that this was obviously a mistake but an event happening just due to his emotions. Rangnick today Rangnick after his station on Schalke he went to Hoffenheim in 2006, an amateur club with a rich investor who then promoted all the way long to Bundesliga. Most will remember the fresh football Hoffenheim did show in their first Bundesliga season. And he tries to show up a similar football in Schalke. The basis was set by Magath in terms of condition and players quality. I mean the following guys started against Inter: Uchida, Sarpei, Jurado, Draxler, Raul, Edu. All guys which were bought by Magath (funny enough he was criticized for his transfer policy but well). Now Rangnick brought a new positive atmosphere to the club. As much success they had with Magath, there were players who had no chance at all with him and as I mentioned earlier the atmosphere was split between PRO and CONTRA Magath. With Rangnick coming this is past and the whole club can concentrate on the performance of the team. Playing wise he also brought some new elements in. The team is pressing earlier in midfield and setting the opponent under pressure, whereas Magath prefers to let the opponent come and then counter (difficult to switch making the game often). This did work very well against Inter Milan as most of us know that they were struggling in defence and in general working their way back after losing the ball. Current squad Goalkeeper: Manuel Neuer - Pure class goalkeeper, wont extent his contract and will most likely make the next step by moving to Bayern München. Defender: Uchida right back. Small guy who is hard-running a lot. I just love this guy to be honest, can be a cracking right back in the future. Metzelder has got international experience and is a solid defender overall. Matip (Höwedes most likely injured) is a young guy who just did his A-levels during the season as well but he is tall and has a good read on the game usually. Sarpei - old experienced left back who has been through up and downs lately in terms of career. Had no chance in Leverkusen, brought to Schalke my Magath. Was used few times to then get only playing for Schalke II team and now back in CL :loon Midfield: On Right midfield Farfan is showing superb form lately and does just form a good duo with Uchida behind him. On center midfield we see several variations. Against Inter Rangnick did use Jurado (creative Spanish guy) together with Papadopolous (Greek Worrier) who is a real "stable fly". He is young but proved that he can take out playmakers such as Sneijder. On left midfield Baumjohann (who was banned to Schalke II by Magath as well) or Draxler (young pure Schalke guy) are options to start. Both of them are technical players. Alternatives Jurado could also move on Left midfield so Schalke got some better experience/quality there. In order to do this though Kluge would need to be fit come in on CMID. He has been the most impressive player under Magath but has been injured recently. He is a defensive minded player who still does a lot to help on offense so overall seen this option would be more defensive. Attack: Edu and Raul. Edu has been coming from Asia (before did play in Bochum) and surprisingly could establish in the team. Under Magath he usually did play on the left midfield which he done okay but under Rangnick he could start on ATT and proving his qualities impressive vs Inter by scoring two goals. No words about Raul really... This guy did profit so much from the hard conditional work from Magath (I never did train so hard before in my career) and is in absolutely top shape. Most likely Formation: ---------------------Neuer-------------------- Uchida----Metzelder--------Matip--------Sarpei -----------Jurado -------- Papadopolous------- Farfan----------------------Baumjohann/Draxler ----------------Edu-----Raul------------------- Optionally (if Kluge is fit): ---------------------Neuer-------------------- Uchida----Metzelder--------Matip--------Sarpei -----------Kluge -------- Papadopolous--------- Farfan-----------------------------------Jurado ----------------Edu-----Raul------------------- With orange players being real key players and all others being pretty much on one level so the team doesnt really rely on Raul only. Hope this helps few guys to make the right estimations. :ok
  9. Re: UEFA Champions League > Tuesday 5 April

Further thinking has led me to think that Inter's primary focus will be not conceding an away goal. They'll want to score themselves, but I think the clean sheet comes first in this one. Leo will ditch the '4-2-crazy' for his players sake and go back to the more conventional 4-3-1-2. I'd imagine like this: Cesar Maicon Rannoc Chivu Zanetti Stank Motta Cambi Sneijder Milito/Pandev Eto'o They'll still have their defensive issues - but I think they'll play in a way that will minimise them. Again I stress that I know little about Schalke in terms of how they operate as a team but IF Leo shows some tactical brains and tells his players to forget the derby, remain calm and concentrate they'll be able to shut out Schalke. I don't usually like going over/under 2.5 for less than 1.90-ish so the 1.75 for unders right now isn't grabbing me. Could go under 2 at 2.375. All things considered Inter would take a 1-0 win and I don't think Schalke would be too upset with that either. I'm thinking we may well see a very clever performance from Inter. 1-0 (6.00) and 2-0 (6.50) tempt me. I haven't taken anything yet and would welcome some detail on Schalke if possible.
Most likely line-up: Neuer Uchida Metzelder Höwedes Sarpei Farfan Matip Papadopolous Draxler/Baumjohann Raul Edu Best line-up without injuries etc: Neuer Uchida Metzelder Höwedes Sarpei Farfan Annan Kluge Jurado (Though Jurado not preferred by new coach so Draxler/Baumjohann) Raul Huntelaar (if he does miss Gavranovic) Playing wise it is indeed a bit difficult to read them as we just got a coach switch. With Magath they were rather passive countering fast or attack over the wings with the full backs going for attack as well. However, with Rangnick they are trying to attack way earlier (as Hoffenheim did when he coached em) and due to this they did look much more dominant overall against St. Pauli which they won 0:2 away from home. I would also like to stress that due to Magath, the team is in exceptional conditional shape and the guy who does profit most from this is RAUL. He is running like a youth player, just add into account all his experience will make him THE key player for Schalke in both fixtures together with NEUER in goal who is simply the best goalkeeper in Germany, if not around the world curently. I know many do not follow it closely and yet he may have to prove in CL/National Team further (He done it in U21 and in CL with Slomka being coach back then in Schalke though). But those two players together with Farfan will be of high importance if Schalke wants to have a chance, all three must put out two special performances because the rest is just unexperienced (Matip, Papadopolous, Draxler/Baumjohann), partly limited in skill (Edu, Sarpei) or just solid (Uchida, Höwedes, Metzelder whereas last two mentioned are bit more than solid actually). Hope this helps :cheers
  10. Re: UEFA Champions League > Tuesday 5 April Schalke is missing Kluge and Annan isnt available either for the two center midfield positions. Instead young guys Matip and Papadopolous will have to try their luck. Papadopolous is a tall greek player who is quite aggressive but yet unexperienced (doesnt start regular but did against Pauli). Matip is tall as well, not really athletic. I would see the midfield weakened and unexperienced as on the left midfield Baumjohann or Draxler will have to start too. In ATT Gavranovic is missing together with Huntelaar and Charisteas so only Edu, who usually did start on LMID (when others were missing to play on that position), is left to play next to Raul. He is a limited player technically but runs a lot. I am not sure but if Inter could beat Bayern on hdcp in the final last year, then they should beat this Schalke with handicap as well unless Neuer will clear the goal again with a one man show :ok

  11. Re: UEFA Champions League > Tuesday 15 March

I agree. Bayern hold the 1-0 advantage from the first leg' date=' so Inter must attack. But I don't really feel Bayern are the sort of side to protect what they have. Both to score would be my call, as I can quite see this being a bit of an open game.[/quote'] Yeah agree. However, Bayern had the problem that teams simply defend vs them and overrun them with strong counter attacks. Bayern defence is regularly changing which indicates they did not find the best lineup yet (which again indicates wrong transfer policy). Anyway, whenever a team does try to attack and make the game like Hamburg did try at the weekend Bayern can play out their strength. Dont overrate the 6:0 win as Hamburg is in chaotic shape. Coach stated midweek that the club is simply uncoachable, management is so chaotic currently no clear structures (many contracts running out, but noone to talk about it available...). Also coach is sacked now as due to his criticizement and the performance at the weekend. Similar case with Bayern where Van Gaal will be sacked end of season. However we have a positive effect here. Many in the management and many players have a high opinion of him. Schweinsteiger, Müller, Badstuber and others growed into their roles due to him and are now stating they will give their best to let Van Gaal leave the club proudly. They still seem to listen to him which does form a rather strong unit now. Motivation is strong due to the above mentioned reason of wanting to end Van Gaal area successful. Gonna be a difficult match, Inter has some decent quality in offence facing an average defence (maybe good at their best day), but then again Bayern has great offensive qualities as well. I think both teams will look to score the first goal, a 1:0 for Bayern will play in their cards big time as they simply perform great when they get space. :ok
  12. Hey guys, Having a go at poker these days and usually sticking to my fullring cashtables. However I also like tourneys (no live events) with lots of participants, no re buy etc. Any tournaments on fulltilt which are worth to have a go at? I see many of those satellites which one can (if won) use to enter some tournaments but I am sort of running short on time and dont like to have several tourneys running into each other as I can not assure I would be able to play poker and use the satellite. Information very appreciated, thanks in advance. :ok

  13. Re: UEFA Europa League > 16th September

I know it sounds crazy but i'm taking Karpaty +0.5AH @1.975 bet365 The difrence in class is huge,Dortmund is class above us and most of our players are ukrainians but we are strong as a team.we don't give up easy,we score goals,we are unbeaten in Europa so far with record 4-2-0 and for some reason our stadium is very lucky.Karpaty still unbeaten at home this season in all competitions also our national team always wins when play on our stadium.we have all players available.it's a first group game so don't think Dortmund will play all 100% away from home. Our players have no fear to play big teams and will be up for a good fight.I mighty be biased but this is my bet ;)
Thanks for the information Mahno. As I know, Ukrainians are usually causing trouble in terms of playing aggressive, defend well and switch fast between defense/offense. Last season you got a 1:1 draw against Galatasaray, although I think Dortmund is much better balanced than Galatasaray last season, it should be a tough match. I had the lay of Karpaty in mind, but it definitely looks like it will be tough for Dortmund here. All players fit over there and which tactic/formation are they using mate?
  14. Re: UEFA Champions League > 14th September

Werder- Tottenham = over(1.70) bet365 stake 5 / 10 The first match of Group A Champions League match between Tottenham and Werder two teams are not playing very well in their respective leagues. Werder comes to this game with some defections due to injuries as Naldo, Pizarro, Mertesacker. Tottenham has problems of training accidents as Defoe, Gomes, Modric Dawson questioned. The situation at home Werder is more critical because they can not count on their two good central defenders in this department have always had problems. In Tottenham Modric missed the creativity being questioned so in the end I think both teams play to win. :hope:hope:hope
Dont overrate the defensive injuries too match (Naldo,Mertesacker). Silvestre is quite experienced and Pasanen as center back does his job well too. Bremen only faces problems against fast playing side, you must let them run to create the big space for attacks. Tottenham with VdV and Crouch doesnt look like the fastest options in offense. Prödl is quite good in heading, so he and Pasanen will take care of Crouch most of the time. I had a tendency to the over as well, but in my opinion it is way to short here. :ok
