Agreed Yeah my thoughts exactly Jeffers. I see youve gone for the double at bet365...myself I have plumped for singles on both at betfair because the odds were just too good to resist in comparison to the bookies. If they both oblige with the 3 set victories im back to level on this US Open so i want these to work even more than usual. Good luck jeffers mate :drums :nana

Set bets I bloody well hope they both win tomorrow for you mate, ill be rooting for them extra :ok Though to be honest I cant seem them both not winning. I think just out of a matter of principle I have to bet on the 3-0 to Roddick. I mean 6 wins all in straight sets v Robredo, it should be 1.2 or sumthing in regards to those stats. And then with Hewitt as well I cant see an average player like Beck even getting close, im gonna have to do em both for the 3-0! :lol Damn it I hope they reproduce their form from the earlier rounds :cheers

Set bets Im interested in betting on 3-0 scorelines in both the Roddick and Hewitt games tomorrow. On Betfair you can get 1.5 and 1.6 respectively. The bookies go 1.36/1.33 on these. Roddick has faced Robredo on 6 occasions, three in 5 set games. Everytime he has come out in straight sets, surely this is a great bet? Opinions welcome, (Jeffers?). Also Hewitt has won 16 of his last 19 matches in straight sets inc. all 3 in this tourny so far. Against Beck he hasnt got a strong opponent. These seem great value to me, whatdya reckon?

Henman My understanding is that any bet WILL stand, they usually stand if the 1st set has been completed. I wish i was wrong cos i backed Kiefer! Its official I am NEVER betting on a Henman game EVER EVER again! :lol Seriously though im not, ive backed him twice and hes lost, and this time I opposed him and yes he won. Abolsutely standard. Not having a great US Open at all myself. Congrats to Jeffers who laid off wisely for a small profit and to Matt for backing Henman :ok

Kiefer The Henman v Kiefer game is such a standard all over the place Henman game. Henmans just won 8 games in a row after being breaks down and stuff. I actually think Henman will win now :( but I hope im wrong.

Sometimes with all this gambling malarkey I forget about the reason why we bother in the first place, the actual sport! :lol So I was wondering what people think of the tournament so far? I think its been really good with some great Tennis and some decent five setters. Im liking the look of the potential match ups with all the best players still in the tournament as well. Also who are peoples favourite players here? Im a big Roddick fan. I love his aggression and the power he possesses. Its good to see him caining the forehands brilliantly this tournament, some of his shots are abolustely blistering :eek I also like Hewitt alot, never gives up and puts in such effort. Always had a liking for Grosjean as well. I personally would rate Roddick and Hewitt as better bets than federer for this tournament, still liking the 10/1 on hewitt pre tourny that i took :ok Wish id staked some on A-Rod as well just cos hes my favourite player. Nice to hear from you Tennis fans in this thread :cheers

Hi all, Not in the know about horses really. Do flat and hurdle races run all year round? I notice both are running currently but for some reason i always thought flats stopped for a while each year.

Damn Well thats that one up in smoke on the first of the three games! :lol Dent loses in 4 sets. Fair play to Mathieu though he deserved it, played really well, Dent looked a bit unfit to me (as in weightwise not injured).

2nd Round Treble Hi guys, Ive gone for a treble for the 2nd round. Dent / Roddick / Berdych @ 2.2 (Victor Chandler) All should easily win against Mathieu, Nadal and Ketola respectively. I think its a really good price. Im interested in Soderling 2 beat Davydenko. Soderling has a 50% record on HC wheras Davydenko is only about 33%. Soderlings also beaten some good players as well. Opinions? Wot about Robredo against Clement also? Another thing surely laying Henman 2 win 3-0 is a good bet at 2.25? He never cruises and Golmard has beaten him 3 times before.

Wahey Berdych came in after a 5 set struggle against Bjorkman. I know a few others were on this so well done them and me :ok My first round total - Andreev -10pts Kucera +6pts Ljubicic -10pts Tursunov +6pts Berdych +8.3pts That makes a grand total of 0.3pts for the 1st round :lol Personally I think ive done well considering Andreev had 4 match points and lost and Ljubicic retired injured thus losing me the bet. Big up me! ;) Who knows maybe I could double it and make 0.6pts on the 2nd round! :p

question On the long races with hurdles the winners often seem to win by many lengths. Do you think the 2length rule should still apply in these races? Also do you study the irish racing as well?

Thanx mate Cheers for the info but theyve put it as a losing bet which pisses me off but I wouldnt be complaining if the other player retired so it works both ways I guess. Again blow is reduced as Tursunov just beat Zabaleta in 5 sets. If my final bet comes in tomorrow I'll have lost only a very tiny bit on the first round so its not too bad IF Berdych beats Bjorkman tomorrow. Fingers crossed :ok

Yeah I hated it so much! Espesh the repeated match points and the inability to convert double break points. :banghead Just had the blow eased though, my Kucera to beat Malisse bet just came in. 6-1 1-6 1-6 6-4 6-1 :eek I think my analysis on Malisse being well dodgy was backed up by this scoreline! :lol Ahh well only a bit down on the day now with more bets to come tomorrow, thank fu@k for Kucera.

Verdasco took 3/5 break points. Andreev took 3/20 :banghead He also had 4 MATCH POINTS in the final set at 5-4, ffs :banghead Great way to begin my US open :sad
